Delete All Entries In The Common Feed List At Once?
Feb 3, 2012
I imported my RSS/Feed list in IE8. I have over 200 entries in my Common Feed List and I want to start over with just a select few. So first I want to delete all entries. My question is this. Is there a way to delete everything in the common feed list at once?
I have a Brother HL-2270W Wireless All-In-On laser printer which also does duplex printing. I'd like to be able to have two entries in my Devices and Printers list that point to this same printer. One would be setup to default to Duplex printing. This would make it a lot simpler than having to select this each time I print something. Setting it for Duplex as the default causes every page, even if it only is a single page, to go through the duplex process which slows down non-duplex printing a lot.
When booting system sometimes I hit F9 to select boot device, when I want to boot from dvd or usb. Before you say I can list boot devices in bios I know this, the problem Is UEFI and Legacy my UEFI system is not secure boot and for whatever reason I have to F9 and manually select usb or dvd legacy, some versions of linux will not boot otherwise.
UEFI boot sources:
Windows boot manager Linux Mint Linux mint
[Code]....
Over the course of the last year I have dual booted several version of linux, but it seems that linux mint and ubuntu add entries to my UEFI boot sources list...how do I remove them, the list is getting to long, and currently only windows 7 is installed.
Hp Pavillion Slimline s5-1114 Bios version 7.16 Ps other than this annoying list the system boots fine right into windows.

I have a number of rss feeds of shops that I buy from on a regular base, and have placed them on my favorites bar. When a particular shop lists a new item the name shows up bold, after I clicked on the new item in the list that drops down and load that page, the name of the feed goes back to normal.
I've done it 100 times so you'd almost expect I would remember... NOT.
One of the feeds didn't seem to work anymore. When new items were listed, the feed name didn't change to bold. So i removed the rss feed from my favorites bar, and deleted it in the favorites list.
I tried to make a new rss feed by going to the shops website, click on the rss feed logo in Windows 'Tools'. That brings me to a rss feed but I cannot click on 'subscribe' anywhere, so the rss feed doesn't work. I had one favorite that showed up as an rss feed in my favorite list but when I put that in my favorites bar and clicked on it it said something like 'no contents' or something.
I want to remove the Windows media player from the open with list. (When i right click on a video file i have a choice to choose a player,so i want to remove the Windows media player from that list)
Dozens of Windows 7 Updates failed when I took the recommended. I think it's because they were for 64 bit and I have 32 bit. Now, everytime I shut dow, it takes ages because it tries to install those updates. Then when I eboot, it reads Failure configuring, revertin changes - and bingo, the laptop shuts down
When installing windows 7 Home Edition 64bit, my computer finishes the "Copying Windows files" in 1 second, and then goes off to the "Expanding Windows files" part. Once it is at 50%(every time), my computer says an error code and a message about corrupt files ect(Error code: 0x80070570). I have been struggling after trying to format my desktop for a clean install of Windows 7 Home Edition 64bit. changing modes from SATA to AHCI, cancelling the install and without rebooting restart the install, and putting down the graphics to 640x480. It has been quite a pain and ruined my weekend and I was hoping that someone else could propose a new solution since nothing has worked. Instead of using a cd, I am using a USB(changing boot priority in the bios to USB, changing the USB to NTFS format ect...), since I currently do not have a SATA CD reader. P.S: The specs of my computer if needed will be posted below:Intel Core i3 540@3.07Ghz eVGA P55v SLI 2x2GB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 1.35V Dual Channel Palit Sonic GTX 260 Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc SATA BIOS v02.67?
Experienced PC users know that not every operating-system upgrade goes smoothly--but that bit of understanding does little to offset the annoyance we feel when we're faced with seemingly unresolvable installation problems. Windows 7 has presented some users with a few serious upgrade bugs of its own. Don't worry: We'll explain how to exterminate them.
Before beginning your Windows 7 upgrade, attach your PC directly to your router via a wired ethernet connection. This will ensure that Windows 7 has a chance to download the latest installation updates directly from Microsoft at the outset of the upgrade process. By the time you read this article, it's possible that Microsoft will have created a fix for some of the following upgrade bugs, so your first step in any upgrade scenario should be to make sure that you have a wired Internet hookup to your PC from the start. I have been getting Windows Shell Common DLL crashes when accessing and modifying properties in my Sound Panel. (I recently connected my SPDIF out to my receiver;I've also been having trouble getting my headphones to work again, but that's another problem) It's shown up in my Reliability Monitor and I've had the "Critical Event" "Windows Shell Common Dll" "Stopped Working" and it has reduced my reliability score from 10 to about 2. When I "Check for a solution" it says there aren't any available. I've checked all drivers and they are up to date. Any idea how to fix this? I've done alot of searching, and all i could find was one guy dl'ing a new SFComm64.dll file and replacing it in his system, which he said worked, but Windows 7 saw as a security threat (?). So, I'm not quite sure what to do - do I try and dl a new SFComm64.dll file? And if so, where do I dl from?
Having an issue with intermittent BSOD with no common activity. Decided to turn blue during idle, surfing the web and playing games. I am not over clocking but i do have the RAM set to what OCZ recommended, DRAM frequency to 1333Mhz, CPU/NB voltage to 1.2v, DRAM Voltage 1.65v, DRAM timings to 9-9-9-20. Currents set up is as follows.
I have a custom gaming pc I made myself, it has worked fine for about 2 years, recently I updated my mobo, psu, and cpu and I also got some ram, and about 2 months later my pc started freezing randomly during playing games or other common use. I found out the new ram I had got was dead, so I took it out and it worked fine no freezes for about a month, now it started freezing again, I got brand new ram today and installed it and it still freezes. Its pretty random, I can go a hour some times and others 5 min of playing a game of whatever. I think it might be a hdd issue, I have a ssd as my boot drive and a 1 tb drive for just steam and games, and a third hdd for programs. I defrag the 2 hdds every so often.
I have installed revo uninstaller which I have used with no probs till now. I decided to use autorun to see start up programmes instead of using the usual msconfig. This is the process I followed.Revo uninstallerautorunI unticked all boxes except my security programmes as this is a new laptop and all programmes were set to run at start up.Closed down laptopestarted laptopOpened startup (the idea was to start up a few at a time to see which I really needed)only 3 boxes were there (security which I left ticked)I have reset to default in startupstill only 3 boxes were showing still tickedI have since had an update from itunes and this is now showing as a 4th programme in startupother than these 4 boxes the list of startup programmes have not shown themselves.
I installed Battlefield 3 right after Christmas and just today noticed that I was unable to access my mouse settings via Control Panel. I know that this is a small issue but I'm concerned that it might continue to grow. As I have updated a number of drivers and other programs since then I am reluctant to hit the restore button and loose half a day of work. Can I simply "repair" Windows shell and go on?I ran (as administrator) sfc/scannow and if found no integrity errors. I also ran Control Panel / Action Center / Maint / Review Reliability and found no issues

I changed the "open with" association of my htaccess to open with notepad... the file name (htaccess) suddenly disappeared. How do I bring it back to the default? I think the dll file is windows shell common, but I can't find it in the "open with"
I had a file that had that open with format, I mistakenly changed it to a Windows Media Player format, and now can not change it back.I was thinking that I may have to reinstall the shell32.dll itself, but I saw the file on my computer. So maybe I should just find it in the Browse folder directory, then click okay and it's fix. Not sure completely where it is located or if that will work.
I have a desktop and laptop with windows 7, I want to use RDC from either side using the internet connection. Both machines are connected with same router for internet connection.
For internet, desktop is connected through LAN cable and laptop through WiFi. Can I use RDC between them without wired connection and using router/internet?

I have been experiencing very frequent BSOD recently for about the past month or two, increasing in frequency over the past week or so. It seems to occur mostly during the times that I play games like tf2 on steam, but it has occurred simply during times when I was using steam or closing it.I have installed a program called Blue-Screen View so I have all the information for my crashes, the BSOD that seems to occur the most (7 out of 15 times) is Memory Management.
If you need me to list any other information please do ask and I will!I have yet to run Memtest86+ but Windows Memory Test revealed no errors.I run Windows Home Premium (64 bit) on an Intel I7 2700k CPU overclocked to 4.4Ghz on a Asus P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard. My Case is The Cooler Master HAF-X Blue Edition, and my graphics Card is one MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5/OC card.My Ram totals at 16gb: consisting of 2 sets of G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 cards.I have one Western Digital WD Black 1.5 Terabyte Hard-drive and one SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128D/AM 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD).Lastly, My Disk Drive is an ASUS 24X DVD Burner.

When I right-click on certain things (in this case, all types of files), some of the entries in the right-click menu are shorter than the others, and stick out of place. One of them is my Bluetooth "Send to Bluetooth Device" entry, which looks to be about 4 pixels shorter, and really does stick out like a sore thumb.
I'm tweaking Flight Simulator 2004, and I have an add-on program that has thoroughly uninstalled, but it's entry still remains on the remove/change program page. How can I get rid of it for good?
How do I remove toolbar menu entries from the taskbar menu? I am talking about the menu you get when you right click on the taskbar. I have two entries under TOOLBARS that I would like to remove. I don't mean uncheck the box to turn it off I mean remove it from the list of toolbars. I added a toolbar and now I wnat to remove it.
