I'm not sure what else to try.I ran Analyze on my SSD (did not run defrag) to see what it would say. I just don't want that history showing it as fragmented. I understand it's a trivial complaint though, but don't like seeing it. That data has got to be saved somewhere in the OS and I want to blow it up

View 0 Replies View RelatedI bought my new computer about 3-4 months ago but the other day it decided to stop saving web history. It will show some pages but not all. If it does save, it will save the initial page but nothing after that. Normally when opening a website, a bar will appear above the taskbar at the bottom of the screen that says 'Website found, Waiting for reply...' on the left hand side and 100% on the right, etc., that bar is no longer appearing. I've check the internet options part and the 'delete browsing history on exit' is unchecked. Disk space is set at 250 and days at 20. I'm running windows 7, IE 9.

I know it wasn't malware, but that's not the point Is there a way to make cmd.exe copy all it's output to a text file automatically or something similar that I could use to check back on what my system did there?I already checked google, it said there's "no way". Only with powershell, but that's not exactly what I want because I don't really do a lot of that stuff, but I'd come back to it, if nobody knows anything else.

After 2-3 weeks, Internet Explorer starts randomly choosing to disclude sites from its history, before reaching a point where it simply stops recording history. Yes, I HAVE all the settings properly adjusted so that it does not delete history upon exit, has an entire gigabyte of disk space reserved just for history, 400 days set to keep history, and it still ends up being a bi-monthly thing of me having to delete the history.

I am frequently running multiple tasks at once, and having a dialogue box pop up and move the focus of my cursor while typing a sql script or email is extremely aggravating. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo for a while, windows updates have been causing BSODs on my PC, usually I just go and remove them via safe mode and all is well again. Well last night, after doing that, my PC BSOD'd and on rebooting found that several things were bad. First, the start orb didn't work and I couldn't pull up the start menu. All the text is gone from my desktop icons, the date and time is missing, all the items within control panel and My computer are a jumbled mess of random lines and boxes, so that means I cannot do anything in Windows explorer or control panel. View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed via the dialog the TEXT SIZE via the screen resolution in the control panel to CUSTOM SIZE.With one of the newer "Cinema" or Very Wide screen (1680 X 900) displays after I'd increased the text size to over 160 % I didn't get the possibility to SAVE any documents any more via the SAVE AS button. View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen installing windows 7 Home Edition 64bit, my computer finishes the "Copying Windows files" in 1 second, and then goes off to the "Expanding Windows files" part. Once it is at 50%(every time), my computer says an error code and a message about corrupt files ect(Error code: 0x80070570). I have been struggling after trying to format my desktop for a clean install of Windows 7 Home Edition 64bit. changing modes from SATA to AHCI, cancelling the install and without rebooting restart the install, and putting down the graphics to 640x480. It has been quite a pain and ruined my weekend and I was hoping that someone else could propose a new solution since nothing has worked. Instead of using a cd, I am using a USB(changing boot priority in the bios to USB, changing the USB to NTFS format ect...), since I currently do not have a SATA CD reader. I have been getting Windows Shell Common DLL crashes when accessing and modifying properties in my Sound Panel. (I recently connected my SPDIF out to my receiver;I've also been having trouble getting my headphones to work again, but that's another problem) It's shown up in my Reliability Monitor and I've had the "Critical Event" "Windows Shell Common Dll" "Stopped Working" and it has reduced my reliability score from 10 to about 2. When I "Check for a solution" it says there aren't any available. I've checked all drivers and they are up to date. Any idea how to fix this? I've done alot of searching, and all i could find was one guy dl'ing a new SFComm64.dll file and replacing it in his system, which he said worked, but Windows 7 saw as a security threat (?). So, I'm not quite sure what to do - do I try and dl a new SFComm64.dll file? And if so, where do I dl from?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a custom gaming pc I made myself, it has worked fine for about 2 years, recently I updated my mobo, psu, and cpu and I also got some ram, and about 2 months later my pc started freezing randomly during playing games or other common use. I found out the new ram I had got was dead, so I took it out and it worked fine no freezes for about a month, now it started freezing again, I got brand new ram today and installed it and it still freezes. Its pretty random, I can go a hour some times and others 5 min of playing a game of whatever. I think it might be a hdd issue, I have a ssd as my boot drive and a 1 tb drive for just steam and games, and a third hdd for programs. I defrag the 2 hdds every so often.
