How To Make History To Save Internet Visits
May 27, 2012History only saves visits to files etc. on the computer, not anything visited on the web. I've tried to find the answer in older posts but all I found was this.

Internet Explorer 9 Does Not Save History Past 2-3 Weeks
Aug 30, 2012I've had this problem for years, since first upgrading to Internet Explorer 9 and Windows 7.
After 2-3 weeks, Internet Explorer starts randomly choosing to disclude sites from its history, before reaching a point where it simply stops recording history. Yes, I HAVE all the settings properly adjusted so that it does not delete history upon exit, has an entire gigabyte of disk space reserved just for history, 400 days set to keep history, and it still ends up being a bi-monthly thing of me having to delete the history.

NOTHING works for me, not deleting index.dat and such.
Windows 7 Won't Save Web History
Aug 5, 2012I bought my new computer about 3-4 months ago but the other day it decided to stop saving web history. It will show some pages but not all. If it does save, it will save the initial page but nothing after that. Normally when opening a website, a bar will appear above the taskbar at the bottom of the screen that says 'Website found, Waiting for reply...' on the left hand side and 100% on the right, etc., that bar is no longer appearing. I've check the internet options part and the 'delete browsing history on exit' is unchecked. Disk space is set at 250 and days at 20. I'm running windows 7, IE 9.

I know it wasn't malware, but that's not the point Is there a way to make cmd.exe copy all it's output to a text file automatically or something similar that I could use to check back on what my system did there?I already checked google, it said there's "no way". Only with powershell, but that's not exactly what I want because I don't really do a lot of that stuff, but I'd come back to it, if nobody knows anything else.

Sep 22, 2012I go to tools, delete forms, history, and the rest, and there are about 20 websites in history that keep showing up when I go type a web address. I've tried CWShredder (says it doesn't exist on my computer). I've tried Spybot (which I did first) (showed coolwebsearch when it did a scan, then supposedly deleted it). I've tried Malware anti-bytes. I tried to try Stopzilla and Spyware Doctor, but they make you pay for it.

Import Internet Explorer History From XP
Jul 27, 2009I just installed Windows 7 yesterday (with your help) and I am loving it so far, but there seems to be one problem I cant seem to figure out, I need to import my Internet Explorer history from my XP HDD to my 7 HDD. I first tried to copy the index.dat file, but there are just so many that I cant figure out which one needs to be moved/replaced. And now I cant even seem to find my "History.IE5" folder in XP, anybody have a tutorial or any advice?

I have a problem - when I download my files from Rapidshare (others hostings seems to be working) to disk D (not system disk), when file is downloaded, I go to folder and I see nothing. Jan 8, 2013I cant download anything, it just disappears, no matter what browser im using.Ive checked and reset all the security settings. Control panel - reset, custom, set to low medium, enable downloads. Nothing works.When in chrome, it downloads and then i clicked it to open and it just says windows cannot find the file, and in the download tab it shows it as removed. It downloads, then disappears all the time.In IE, it says when security settings dont allow the file to be downloaded and it wont even attempt to download.And in mozilla the thing comes up that says open and save as, so i click save and the little download box appears in the corner and before it can even start, it says cancelled. So i click retry, it downloads, then i go to open and its NO Where to be found.No browser downloads, so its not my IE/mozilla/Chrome settings, theres something else going on, its driving me insane. It happened after i downloaded some torrents, then upon the next restart i think it just stopped working. Avast and Malwarebytes find nothing!
