How Do I Remove Keyboard Volume Display Bar ?
I've been playing some games and every time I press the mute, decrease and increase volumes always disconnects me from the games or bring me out of the game like Alt + F4. It use to be fine, but I think the reason is, because of the volume display bar pops up. Is there a way to remove it or you can solve my problem without removing it?
[SOLVED] I went to Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings and set it to the second notch.

My Computer Folder Hangs With Green Bar And Will Not Display Any Folders
I now have this problem on no less that 3 PC's with the W7 Evaluation 7100 build. Spontaneously and at random times, explorer just hangs when trying to access the 'Computer' section to display my local and remote drives. It has completely destroyed any hope I had of W7 actually being better than any other windows product, and makes working impossible without having to reboot every 30 mins. I have updated ALL my drivers and even my PC that's only been built 3 days has this problem. I know all about msconfig and selecting selective start up and disabling all programs, sure this works for a while - but sooner or later it just hangs again. It also behaves itself under a normal 'all programs enabled' start up for random amounts of time, before it decides to lock me out of my drive locations (and eventually it crashes explorer that needs to be forced to close and restarted). The really annoying thing, and the thing that suggest to me that's it's an OS issue is that windows explorer if perfectly accessible through every single installed program - even when the explorer 'computer' window is hanging. Just open the 'open file' tab of any program and all drives under 'computer' are perfectly accessible and functional. Any ideas?

MS Laser 6000 Keyboard Volume Control
I started with IntelliType 6.31 from Vista and my volume controls worked fine in Windows 7. I just realized recently these keys are dead now. I upgraded to IntelliPoint 7 for Windows 7 to no avail. Every other key functions perfectly. I have looked back in my recent updates and cannot see any reason why these volume +/- keys died. The mute key still works. It still works fine when I boot into Vista.

Period Keyboard Lockups / Toshiba Satellite M40 Keyboard
Toshiba PSM30 Satellite Laptop 1.25Gb Ram Centrino 1.5Ghz when using windows 7 on this laptop periodically the keyboard input will freeze - it will freeze for up to two seconds after which the keypresses will "catch up". Ive hunted around for a solution to this and only managed to find a issue for some installs upgrading form winxp... The sugestion here http://www.watchingthenet.com/windows-vista-tip-how-to-fix-slow-keyboard-response-after-upgrade-from-windows-xp.html suggests adding a new regrsitry key which I have done and it has made ZERO difference (its not made it any worse either) At the moment this is making this laptop pretty unusable in that it locks out keyboard input about once every 30 seconds.... Note that this lockout is not tied to any particular program (it even happens in notepad with no other programs running). Ive preorded win7 for this laptop prior to installing the RC, and I am now starting to worry i may not be able to use it on this laptop. if i keep the cpu gadet running "always on top" I can see that when the keyboard input is getting buffered its not the case that the CPU is maxed out at 100% in face i can see it happening when the cpu is running at less than 20 percent. Dunno if this is a driver issue or an issue with my particular hardware setup. This is not the newest laptop but its not the oldest either, and apart from this win7 runs at an ok rate. Memory utilisation is around 45%. Very occasionally when typing it seems that windows will issue an alert sound when the keyboard locks out but its not every time and there is no alert message associated with the sound - all in all its hugely frustrating.

Keyboard Input Causes Audio Skipping, No Keyboard Repeat
I'm having a strange issue with Windows 7, involving keyboard input and audio playback. I find that when I'm typing something (like this message, or anything else) and listening to music through any media player, the audio output skips as I type. There doesn't seem to be a real pattern to it, but it is definitely noticeable skipping only when I'm typing. I also noticed that if I try to use a repeating key function, such as holding down the backspace key, the audio output stops completely, and the key does not repeat; the cursor just hangs until I let go of the key, at which point the music starts playing again too. Is anyone else having this issue?

No Program Bar
Interesting error. When I get up in the morning I discover the windows bar at the bottom will not show. Once I bring up the task manager via ctrl-alt-del, then close it out, the bar will show again with no further problems. This is a consistent error. I do not let the computer go to sleep. This is Version 6.1.7100 Build 7100 however I have seen this happening since I loaded Windows 7 a week ago.

Explorer 8 Status Bar
I was trying to find out the meaning of the messages that appear on the lower left of the Internet Explorer 8 windows (in the status bar). I was visiting a site (pcguide.com) and I got a weird icon in that spot. I am worried I might have picked up a nasty bug from that site, because I had a hard time closing it (windows kept popping up).

USB Volume Too Loud
I just installed Win7 RC on my laptop and the only flaw i found is the volume master slider for my usb soundcard. I installed it on a virtual disk for testing before I dismiss xp. Under xp the volume works just fine! I know that vista introduced logarithmic scaling, but this one is somehow upside-down. The card is "ga-au003" and the chipset is ALC100P (DAC) and ALU100-L (USBC). The datasheet states that the master volume is allready log. with 1,5db per step (46,5db total) The driver for the card are the ones supplied with the OS. I switched on my osciloscope an started a signal generator to measure the levels: Step 1 (1%) gives me an attenuation of 1/3 (-10db). The usb adapter is attached to my good self-build amplifiers. They are set to 0 db and 2x60W power. Additional I have a remote that gives me the comfort of contolling the playback from my listening chair. All the solutions I've found on the net are not applicable: Setting the master to max and controlling the volume with the per-app slider or inside the player: It gives me too much dac-noise, and is too dangerous cause failures can blow out my speakers (on first activating the feedback from the inbuild mic nearly destroyed my tweeters). Also it decreases the effective bit-depth, and as i'm aiming at audiophile quality, this is not acceptable.

Volume Control On Tecra M7
To chage the volume / mute the audio using the hardware volume control, focus has to be on explorer in some applications. In winamp, version 5.552 for example, if I click on an entry in the "shoutcast radio" window, I can't change / mute the volume with the hardware control unless I click on the task bar. I have noticed this in other applications also, but not all.

Program Volume Control
Is it possible to program some keys on my keyboard to control volume? My last keyboard broke so I got a new one for like $4. It's a 104 key basic keyboard. No multimedia. Like, is it possible to change something in the registry or something so I can have like F5, F6 and F7 to control my volume? Or any other keys.

Volume Error On L4D
I don't know why but, when I play Left 4 Dead or Garrys Mod the process volume on Volume Mixer goes on minimum but a "ghost" volume icon stays on maximum. I always have to minimize my game and get my volume on maximum again, each round start (when survivors were overwhelmed or survivors win). When i have an SS i post here. And only to say, im so happy that, I've downloaded the video driver from ATi website, but I don't needed to install it, I play all my games (L4D, CSS, Gmod, TF2...) with the WDM driver with all filters and everything with the same FPS i get with the ATi driver installed.
