Have Multiple Emails Open On A Single PC Like On IPhone
Sep 28, 2012
How can I have my mail boxes to be open on a single PC? On my iPhone, I can check my 5 email addresses without signing in and signing out. It is a pain to have 3 different hotmail addresses while signing in and signing out.

We are running an exchange 2003 server, with windows 7 machines (not ideal I know).
That aside, I am getting a scripting error when opening emails from a single user. This error ONLY appears on one users computer. So to clarify, this issue only pops up on one users computer, and only occurs when opening an email (even in preview) from another single user.
I have so far:
- Run a repair of office 2010 on the computer that displays the scripting error.
- Removed email signature from the senders computer, in case of problematic fonts (Even though to other users on the domain, this error does not occur when opening emails from this same sender.)

I just rebuilt my desktop and installed Windows 7. I had thought to put My Pictures and My Music on separate Hard Drives from the Operating System and everything else; OR would performance be better with all on one hard drive and backing up the My Music and My Pictures to separate Hard Drives? I'm using i7 processor with 8G RAM and 500GB hard drives (3); with a 1 Tetrabit External MyBook.

I have a C: drive and an E: drive on a Windows 7 X64 Media Center PC. Both have a directory called "Movies" ... when I start Windows Media Center and go to "Videos" I have a C:Movies AND an E:Movies.
Is it possible to merge both these directories into a single directory in Windows Media Center?
The C drive is 95% full so I can't copy the movies from the E: drive onto C: and the E: drive is 95% empty... so over time I'll add more movies to my collection (on the E: drive) and would really like to have ALL the movies from both C:Movies and E:Movie listed in a single directory and arranged alphabetically....
Ps. I've already tried adding both directories to the windows library 'Movies' directory but you can't access the 'Movie' library from within the Media Center!

I recently bought a dell inspiron 14r laptop. It came with windows 7 Home premium which was pre-installed. The problem with it is, the whole 640GB was allotted to a single drive C. I want to repartition the hard disk into 6 drives. But they didnot gave me the windows 7 installation disk or its serial. What should i do now? I had created the recovery discs using the manufacturer's recovery media.

Win 7 Live Mail: Sending HTML text works okay but when I try to send a new mail or forward mail with graphics the recipient gets multiple copies of the e-mail. One is usually okay but the rest are gibberish. To work around this glitch I have registered with Gmail to use when I want to e-mail with graphics. All Windows Updates have been entered. I changed mail options to plain text with similar results. My winter snowbird ISP is Bright House Tampa Bay Road Runner, and the computer is Dell Inspiron 15 laptop.

I hate to start with an apology, but I can't believe I'm the first to raise this point, so I'm sorry if it's already been done to death. But I've tried searching the forum, and couldn't find a relevant thread. My issue is this. When I'm writing a new email in Windows Live Mail, like most careful users I like to save the text every now and then. It's an instinct borne of hard experience of losing data, which can happen any time with any software. I just automatically click Cltr-S periodically without even thinking about it.Unfortunately, it appears to me that every time I do this in Windows Live Mail, the program creates a new copy of my current draft email in the relevant Drafts folder. If it's a long email, or one I'm phrasing with extra care, I can end up with maybe ten or fifteen nearly identical drafts cluttering up the folder! This behaviour seemed so bizarre when I noticed it that I trawled through the settings, looking for a way to override it, but I can't find any reference. Am I missing something obvious? I must be.
In Outlook Express (sorry to dredge up that familiar phrase), when you do what I've described above, the software behaves logically, and simply resaves the amended draft email each time over the previous version, so that you never have more than one draft copy at any time - which is how nearly all word processors also work. Surely that's how Windows Live Mail should behave too? I realise there might be occasional instances where you would want two different versions of a draft, but surely these instances are far outnumbered by the times when you just want to save a single copy incrementally as you write it?

I am noticing that Outlook is very slow to open emails with background images which are placed into the body tag of a message. Usually when I create an email marketing campaign I give my email message a background picture by placing markup similar to the following into the body tag;<body style="background-image: url('http://myserver/somepicture.jpg');>Traditionally this has been fine, however over the last day I have noticed that Outlook takes a very long time to open these kinds of messages. I have had a look through my old email campaigns, and much to my surprise I have found messages which opened fine six months ago taking a long time to open. This issue is happening on more than just my computer, as I have asked staff & customers about their Outlook experience, and some have even reported a complete crash of Outlook.I am using Outlook 2010, however I think that Outlook 2007 is also being affected.

First- if I have a maximized window open, any window that I open that's not maximized, opens and disappears to the taskbar icon for it
Second- I can't view more than one window of the same program at the same time. No matter how small I resize it, the second window sends the first window to it's taskbar icon.I've run sfc /scannow, scanned with Avast & Malwarebytes. Restored folder options in the view tab & set it to open in it's own window.

Here's the scenario. You've got a folder with say, 42 text files. In XP, you would select them, then hit enter, and they all pop up, one after another. The order would be that the last file would open first, then the remaining files would open in the order they are listed in Explorer.Windows 7 is not like that. Here's what happens.Pick all 42 files, hit enter. Nothing. No error, no warning, just nothing happens.Pick 2 files, hit enter. Opens just like normal.Pick 20 files, nothing.Pick 10 files, works fine.Pick 15 files, works finePick 16 files, nothing.More oddness. When multiple files open, they open in a random order.More more oddness. Close them, then open then again. Random, but in a different random order! My thought on this is that it is just a bug. That the number of files is (16) or (2^4) or (hex f), suggests to me that the programmer didn't allow for numbers large than (hex f). Although that number could mean nothing and is simply a coincidence.

I"m having a hard time finding where I turn off the feature that makes the window that my mouse is resting on come to the front. Sometimes when I type I just need to move my mouse out of the way and if it touches another window it makes that other window I have open pop up.And, when I'm using my mouse to navigate on the screen it will make each window come up without clicking on it.

First, running Windows 7 64bit on full & clean install to a new HD. Recently I have been noticing on a few trips to task manager that some times I will have a whole bunch of explorer.exe's running even if I have nothing but my desktop. In doing some checking I found that this is happening from each time I open a new explorer window but the issue is, when I close the window, the process still is running. It even happens if say from my desktop, I open only one explorer window and close that one and then at open another single one and close it and on an on like this. Simple put it seems like for any condition I open an explorer window, despite the fact that I have closed it, it doesn't really seem to close. Note, in doing some Googling I have found that I am not alone with this an some have recommend to uncheck, "Launch folder in separate process" in folder options and I have tried this but it doesn't work. So how do I get Windows 7 to stop running a process of explorer.exe once I have closed it as sometimes I have even seen up to 10 of these running and its really eating up my memory.
