Recently relocated from Alaska to Costa Rica and now can not access my Starband mail server or the Starband site that worked up to my relocation. During my move I also installed all the available fixes for Windows 7.
When I googled the error found several fixes which involved changing the proxy settings but am having problems finding a easy way to disable same under Windows 7 & IE8. Any help will be appreciated.
My friend is trying to access a particular website (youconvertit.com) but gets HTTP 403 errors (access forbidden) whenever he does. Other web activity is fine.
1. When I take MY laptop round to his house, I can connect to the site no problem.
2. When we take HIS laptop to another neighbour's, he gets the same 403 message.
3. MY laptop is still connecting OK.
how do I fix my face book games. It comes up as HTTP Error 500. and the page blinks on and off rapitly.

FTP's transfer rate is a lot slower.

For the past 3 weeks, I have been receiving blue screens serval times. Each time, the caused of the error reports has been "Wdf01000.sys" and address at ntoskrnl.exe+74a90.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.
Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'
-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working
All of these options did not work.
What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows 169.254.112.76 which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. I have a d-link router "DIR 825 " I come out of my brighthouse modem to the router and go across the room to a netgear switch. I have one computer that won't find a ip address when coming out of the netgear switch. I have to run straight from the D-link router to the pc to get on line.
