View 6 RepliesFirefox, Steam, Filezilla, Skype all work.IE, Chrome, Evernote and others all dont.Windows Network Diagnostic tool says: Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings..Its not a virus or malware, its likely because i removed registry keys related to old web filtering software. In the Internet Options settings it is set to automatically detect settings and no proxy server is set.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure a Windows 7 computer to set the default proxy settings by machine and not by user. I've managed to find the policy in [HKEY_LOCAL_..."ProxySettingsPerUser" and when I set that to 0 it gives me the effect I want and doesn't force me to edit the settings for each user.Similar to the problem this guy: ProxySettingsPerUser had. The proxy settings are now supposedly given from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE area but after hours spent googling and trying to edit the proxy settings none of my attempts seemed to change it at all. where the computer searches for proxy settings when ProxySettingsPerUser is set to 0? I read that on XP it was the same place but in HKLM not HKCU but this does not seem to work in Windows 7.

My FTP allows me to access folders as a standard http directory.
I can download files from there. But, obviously I can't directory just download a folder.
Is there any way to download full folders from a http directory similar to a FTP program lets you do this with folders in a FTP?
FTP's transfer rate is a lot slower.
Can I do this using SmartFTP?

My network adapter configure wit static IP address, Sub-net mask, default gateway & preferred DNS address,For as test, I change IP address in network setting then checked, my internet was not working?i changed only last one digit of IP, for Expample
Original IP 172.16.55.50 Work
Change IP 172.16.55.51 Not Work
how to check which IP enable for internet & which IP not allowed for internet?
As an initial note, this has absolutely nothing to do with illegal activity, despite the fact that it sounds suspect in nature. But, here we go:
I want to proxy internet traffic from my house through a router in another home, and preferably only the traffic from one laptop in my house. For example:
Laptop: Home A -> router in Home B -> www Other computers: Home A -> www
I believe that the simplest way to accomplish this would be having a dedicated computer in House B, which my laptop could remotely control. However, I'm trying to avoid having a computer constantly on in House B. Also, I have full access to both networks, routers, etc...
I think I may be dealing with two separate issues here, but let me just tell you what's going on:When trying to connect to the internet through both a wireless router and my local area connection, my browsers give me error saying, "X is trying to connect using a proxy server that is not responding."When I troubleshoot either of these connections, it tells me the DNS server is not responding. My roommate's computer, also a brand-new Windows 7 laptop, is also unable to connect, as is my Android phone. My dad is also having a similar problem with his connections, though when he resets the modem it will resolve the problem for a day or two.I have tried:Rebooting computer, modem and wireless routerReconfiguring the wireless routerDefining the DNS address to OpenDNS addresses and Google DNS addressesReturning the DNS to be found automaticallyDisabling/enabling both internet connectionsReleasing and renewing my IP addressTalking directly with my ISP supportAnd countless other Googled remedies.I would think it was only a problem with the modem - however, when my computer is connected to a new wireless network somewhere else, it still returns the same proxy error

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy computer (Win 7) is behind a proxy server at work. They have disabled the ping service. They told me it is disabled for security reasons, and everytime I try to ping a host, the connection times out. However I normally use ping as a good diagnostic to check if I have an internet connection or not. We experience frequent network problems, and I'd like to be able to at least narrow down the problem each time. Are there any other diagnostic tools/utilities I can use to test if my network is down because
a) my computer has lost its connection to the proxy server.
or
b) the proxy server has lost its connection due to ISP issues (or any other reason).
When I go on the internet I can go to any site but one. It says that windows could not connect to proxy server. I have tried everything I could think of. I added it to trusted sites, reset the proxy, tried several commands and haven't gotten anywhere. It won't pull up the particular site in IE or firefox, but it will pull it up on any other computer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a recent problem with trying to browse a couple of my regular websites. When I try to view them I get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at" messages, instantly with no even trying to access the domains. I tried ping and tracert commands in the command prompt, and both failed to connect to the domains. However, when I go to any proxy/unblocking website and enter these sites, they will load fine through proxy so I know they're online. They were showing up as "down for everyone" a few days ago, checking via websites that check domains, but they're working now.
I checked my hosts file, they're not being blocked through that. It's not a Firefox issue as even IE won't load them. I said before, they'll load via proxy websites but not in my browsers through normal use. I have no idea what's blocking these sites or why I can't view them. Could it be an issue on the server's end not letting me connect? Blocking via my ISP? Or just some other thing with my PC? Though I can't think of why these 2 specific sites would be giving me problems, neither is related to antivirus or whatever and all my scans with MSE and Malewarebytes are coming up clean for malware. I did run Windows Update a few days ago, but it was mostly MSE definition updates and 1 Windows 7 update, nothing really special, and I think this started well after I ran the update. As it is I'm basically clueless. And even though I can load them in proxy sites I can't use them as they don't really work through free proxies due to javascript and such.
I have a weird problem nowadays. I cant login (not accessing) certain websites without using proxy servers with any browser. Some of sites say somethings about SSL, some of them take me to home page, and u know twitter, it says "somethings gone technically wrong" or sth like that. Even now, I connectted to proxy server to login here. So far now what i have done:
- The date & time are correct
- I cleaned cookies
- I resetted IE settings
- I rebooted my router
- I restarted my computer
Btw, I also have Ubuntu 12.04 and at there, everything works fine. So I think my problem is related with Windows 7.
my Pc NOT supporting to on any adult websites. & i wish to watch POrn movies on & off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having this issue for as long as I can remember. Certain sites simply never load on my desktop. My Firefox and my IE would indicate that the page is down by returning the following error: Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at [URL] The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Theses same sites work FINE from work, from collage, and from my cellphone (Android 2.3) but NOT my damn desktop. At first I thought maybe Comcast was blocking them but then I realized that I CAN view them on my Android phone, using Dolphin Browser, or any Android browser for that matter when connected to my Wi-fi which obviously, is the Comcast/Xfinity.
