As an initial note, this has absolutely nothing to do with illegal activity, despite the fact that it sounds suspect in nature. But, here we go:
I want to proxy internet traffic from my house through a router in another home, and preferably only the traffic from one laptop in my house. For example:
Laptop: Home A -> router in Home B -> www Other computers: Home A -> www
I believe that the simplest way to accomplish this would be having a dedicated computer in House B, which my laptop could remotely control. However, I'm trying to avoid having a computer constantly on in House B. Also, I have full access to both networks, routers, etc...
I am using internet on my office computer through proxy server address which is configure in my internet browser LAN setting. My network adapter configure wit static IP address, Sub-net mask, default gateway & preferred DNS address,For as test, I change IP address in network setting then checked, my internet was not working?i changed only last one digit of IP, for Expample
Original IP 172.16.55.50 Work Change IP 172.16.55.51 Not Work
how to check which IP enable for internet & which IP not allowed for internet?
I think I may be dealing with two separate issues here, but let me just tell you what's going on:When trying to connect to the internet through both a wireless router and my local area connection, my browsers give me error saying, "X is trying to connect using a proxy server that is not responding."When I troubleshoot either of these connections, it tells me the DNS server is not responding. My roommate's computer, also a brand-new Windows 7 laptop, is also unable to connect, as is my Android phone. My dad is also having a similar problem with his connections, though when he resets the modem it will resolve the problem for a day or two.I have tried:Rebooting computer, modem and wireless routerReconfiguring the wireless routerDefining the DNS address to OpenDNS addresses and Google DNS addressesReturning the DNS to be found automaticallyDisabling/enabling both internet connectionsReleasing and renewing my IP addressTalking directly with my ISP supportAnd countless other Googled remedies.I would think it was only a problem with the modem - however, when my computer is connected to a new wireless network somewhere else, it still returns the same proxy error
My computer (Win 7) is behind a proxy server at work. They have disabled the ping service. They told me it is disabled for security reasons, and everytime I try to ping a host, the connection times out. However I normally use ping as a good diagnostic to check if I have an internet connection or not. We experience frequent network problems, and I'd like to be able to at least narrow down the problem each time. Are there any other diagnostic tools/utilities I can use to test if my network is down because
a) my computer has lost its connection to the proxy server.
or
b) the proxy server has lost its connection due to ISP issues (or any other reason).
When I go on the internet I can go to any site but one. It says that windows could not connect to proxy server. I have tried everything I could think of. I added it to trusted sites, reset the proxy, tried several commands and haven't gotten anywhere. It won't pull up the particular site in IE or firefox, but it will pull it up on any other computer.
I have a recent problem with trying to browse a couple of my regular websites. When I try to view them I get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at" messages, instantly with no even trying to access the domains. I tried ping and tracert commands in the command prompt, and both failed to connect to the domains. However, when I go to any proxy/unblocking website and enter these sites, they will load fine through proxy so I know they're online. They were showing up as "down for everyone" a few days ago, checking via websites that check domains, but they're working now.
I checked my hosts file, they're not being blocked through that. It's not a Firefox issue as even IE won't load them. I said before, they'll load via proxy websites but not in my browsers through normal use. I have no idea what's blocking these sites or why I can't view them. Could it be an issue on the server's end not letting me connect? Blocking via my ISP? Or just some other thing with my PC? Though I can't think of why these 2 specific sites would be giving me problems, neither is related to antivirus or whatever and all my scans with MSE and Malewarebytes are coming up clean for malware. I did run Windows Update a few days ago, but it was mostly MSE definition updates and 1 Windows 7 update, nothing really special, and I think this started well after I ran the update. As it is I'm basically clueless. And even though I can load them in proxy sites I can't use them as they don't really work through free proxies due to javascript and such.
I have a weird problem nowadays. I cant login (not accessing) certain websites without using proxy servers with any browser. Some of sites say somethings about SSL, some of them take me to home page, and u know twitter, it says "somethings gone technically wrong" or sth like that. Even now, I connectted to proxy server to login here. So far now what i have done:
- The date & time are correct - I cleaned cookies - I resetted IE settings - I rebooted my router - I restarted my computer
Btw, I also have Ubuntu 12.04 and at there, everything works fine. So I think my problem is related with Windows 7.
I tried to log onto Firefox and it said something about not able to connect to the proxy server. I then tried to connect to IE, Opera, and safari and they didn't work. I configured my FF settings to let the network choose the server. But for some programs, like MW2 I cannot access Multiplayer, but I can access teamspeak.
Trying to install FreeProxy server by Handmade. ipconfig has no DNS. Or could you recommend another program? When I install it tries to intstall MS Office 2010 is this correct.
I've been having this issue for as long as I can remember. Certain sites simply never load on my desktop. My Firefox and my IE would indicate that the page is down by returning the following error: Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at [URL] The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Theses same sites work FINE from work, from collage, and from my cellphone (Android 2.3) but NOT my damn desktop. At first I thought maybe Comcast was blocking them but then I realized that I CAN view them on my Android phone, using Dolphin Browser, or any Android browser for that matter when connected to my Wi-fi which obviously, is the Comcast/Xfinity.
I have a dsl cable internet connection and I use proxy sometimes. Recently my browsers couldn't open any webpage without activating proxy. I used to ping some domains and I got replies and I looked at proxy setting in any browser and choosed no proxy , but when I try to open a website It says for example could not locate the remote server in Opera , and after using proxy server (like your freedom) and activate my proxy setting in browsers I can easily open any webpage.
I have a non numeric proxy address that is working fine with iphone ios (manual proxy). I want to use this proxy on windows 7 but when i setup in internet explorer proxy, it doesn't work. So I have the port # and proxy address looks like this n8.example.com.Is there any way I can use this non numeric proxy in Windows 7?
I recently found the program Blue Coat Proxy Client installed on my laptop. This is a school laptop. I was simply wondering what would happen if i uninstalled it? Because it won't let me stop the process in task manager so i would imagine that the laptop or school doesn't want me playing around with. Would it disconnect me from the school network? Would it basically make the laptop mine and give me access to everything?Too many thoughts going through my head. What is the main use of it?
I recently moved a work computer to my home to use in my home office and i now can't connect to the Internet. I have the computer directly connected to my wireless router through an Ethernet cord. All other computers that are connected wirelessly seem to work absolutely fine. When i open up network and sharing center and try and run the troubleshoot problems I constantly get the following error message "windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings".
I have found a temporary workaround by way of using Hotspot Shield's free VPN services, but I would like to create my own proxy server at home instead so I can avoid the constant timeouts/disconnects involved with the free service. So far I've set up my PC to use a static IP on the network, and forwarded port 1723 to that address. I've also enabled incoming connections under adapter settings, but it just seems like I'm missing something big here. I am unable to make a connection to my home PC from my iPhone over WAN, and even if I was able to I'm not sure how to enable internet connection sharing over that connection.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate. I always have ran Malwarebytes Daily and RegCure.I had a trojan make it past Malwarebytes so I decided to give Avast a try. Didnt like Avast so I uninstalled it and went back with Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes didnt get it out, so I have Hitman Pro when I need it. Got the 2012 Trojan out. Now when windows loads it fails to load my Proxy Settings. Then I run the troubleshooter and it tells me this: Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings So I tried all the netsh resets and it didnt help. Tried winsock. Nothing helped. Went into DevManager and nothing is grayed and no exclamations.I uninstalled the drivers for the net card and wifi card and restarted to let them reinstall. Nothing still. I opened Network Connections, NOTHING shows up. I also overwrote the Sys32 file nlasvc.dll and nothing happened.
How can I create I .reg file or command line to change between connecting with a proxy server (address: proxy or 10.22.12.12, port: 8080) and directly?
1. i have 1 router with 2 computers.. i both checked their IP's using the whatismyip.com .. turned out they have both same IP.
2. then i went to Download Angry Birds to download the demo version of angrybirds.
3. my first computer could not download it, it says "unable to connect" , but my second computer can download perfectly..
4. so now, i bought the angry birds game from rovio, i used my 1st computer to activate the game, guess what, activation cannot connect, so i cannot activate my game in 1st computer, but can activate in my 2nd computer..
5. what can be the problem with my 1st computer? they have both same IP's?
I can't visit this site: [URL] pretty nice game btw) However I am able to visit the site when i use a proxy. I know I'm not banned because I'm still on the rankings. Might be a possible outcome of what happened to me earlier. Problems in my computer - Windows 7 Forums EDIT: lol i just found out there was an edit button ahahahah. So I also found out I cant visit the Firefox site.
I have recently run a virus scanner from mcaffee stinger. I had several virusus and it removed them. Although there gone I had just booted my laptop and it wont let me connect to the internet. It said limited access on the icon. I troubleshooted the windows network diagnostics and it said this. Problem found windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings. Whatever I try to run as administrator it will come up with an error saying
C:/Windows/system32/cmd.exe <-that was an example the name changes for different items.
I basically cant use it at all now. I go to the control panel and click right click properties to disable and it will come up with the same error. It also said windows has encountered an error saving the wireless profile specific error: the data is invalid.
Firefox, Steam, Filezilla, Skype all work.IE, Chrome, Evernote and others all dont.Windows Network Diagnostic tool says: Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings..Its not a virus or malware, its likely because i removed registry keys related to old web filtering software. In the Internet Options settings it is set to automatically detect settings and no proxy server is set.
