I'm looking for a scrollable top links for Chrome.In other words the links just below the address bar so I can place more links and scroll to view them all.I feel like Browsers are going to be a window with tabs and all of us saying "where are our bookmarks?" "Where are our extensions?", "Where is the address bar?" followed by everyone installing older browsers and telling Chrome and FireFox to rethink the browser again because you gone over the deep end.
My internet connection shows 'no internet access' even though my ISP shows the connection is coming into the house just fine. I usually use a router (NetGear-WNR3500U) but I right now I have the Ethernet connection plugged directly into my PC. I tried directly plugging into my laptop and the internet works just fine. So I know the problem resides in the PC.
Some troubleshooting things I have tried.
-Power cycled my modem, router and PC.
-Repinged my connection from my ISP(Comcast Xfinity)
-Used the reset option on the router and the modem
-I was walked through the internet options needed with the tech support from my ISP to make sure DHCP was enabled and every other setting was correct, and he cleared me that all settings were correct.
-Tried ipconfig commands to /renew and /release my IP When I tried ipconfig /renew I get the error 'An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server'
-Restored my PC to a restore point where the Internet was working
All of these options did not work.
What I think the problem is and I am not sure how to fix it, when I run the ipconfig /all command my Auto configuration IPv4 Address shows 169.254.112.76 which I was told is a router IP address even though I am plugged directly from the modem to my PC with an Ethernet cord. So I think that's my problem? But I am not sure.

I am using windows 7 64bit in compaq presario CQ61. today i go to cmd and type ipconfig but i can't see my ip adress. insted of showing ip it shows my media state disconnected. i send a picture sample of this.
I am trying to obtain the ip adderess on a computer. When I go to run type cmd and ipconfig it is giving me media disconnected. I tried typing in ipconfig/all and it gave me media disconnected and said the physical address is 00-24-E8-24-47-40. I don't know what this means or what I need to do. I am trying to get this computer to work on my wireless network but can't.
I have a laptop and netbook on the same home network. A message on the laptop tells me:Windows has detected an IP address conflict. Another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer.

I have a d-link router "DIR 825 " I come out of my brighthouse modem to the router and go across the room to a netgear switch. I have one computer that won't find a ip address when coming out of the netgear switch. I have to run straight from the D-link router to the pc to get on line. The other PC works fine coming out of the switch. Is there something I can check to get the one pc to recognize the IP address when coming out of the netgear switch
I really want to change my ip address. Not the ipv4 one, but the actual one e.g. the one when i go to [URL].I am Running Virgin Media Broadband, and recently got a brand new Hub [URL] along with a new ip and i was told that it is "dynamic". But if i reboot it etc it still stays the same? what can i do to change it? im on Windows 7... and im on a laptop with wireless.
I have 3 Win 7 computers in LAN (simple lan) with 192.168.1.5 / 6 / 8 ip address given to them. Default gateway set to 192.168.1.1 ( ip of my broadband modem).
Many times when my pcs are restarted , the IP address fields are turned blank and the option " Obtain IP address automatically" gets selected..

OK .. had (actually still have since I just installed a new hard drive for a clean install of WIN 7 and have the old drive available) XP using Outlook 2003.
Installed WIN 7, loaded the new Beta version of Office Pro 2010 (hey .. it was free and good for a year).
Don't have a Personal address book. My contacts did import into the Contact Mgr but this doesn't enable me to click on several email addys so I can send to multiple people.
Is tehre anything I can do to get the same capabilities I had WIN XP and Outlook 2010 Beta?
BTW .. I also removed Ofc 2010 and went back to my tried and true Office Pro 2003 but have the same problem.
Did the same for the Thunderbird.
I have never went to Vista (so maybe some of the shortcomings/differences were addressed there). I do have a legal copy of OFC 2007 (never been unwrapped since I heard it didn't have any new features I would use over 2003 but had a different GUI look) if that would help.
Also, Don't have all the folders I had with XP and Outlook 2003. I had a LOT of messages stored in different folders but import them (or don't know how).
Like I said .. I can put my old HD in and boot up my XP if I need to do special exports or anything.
I currently have this address book on my xp desktop. I would like to use it on my HP HDX premium 16 series laptop 64 bit with windows 7.0 When I try to load the program, it says that it is not compatible. Help! How do I preserve and use my address book?
I just recently installed a new motherboard in my min hp home pc when i put my hard drive in its see a problem with configuration iam assuming it has something to do with the mac address on the new board the old board does not work thus why i replaced it is there any way i can save the information on my old drive if i reload windows 7 or iam i doomed because of windows 7 licencing to a mac address
