View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just bought two brand new WD 500 GB RE4 HDD's and connected them coorectly for RAID 1. I have changed the BIOS and Pressed Ctrl+F to create the RAID and this has been successful. When installing Windows you obviously get to the aprt where you need to load the floppy drivers to locate the drives...
I have downloaded ever driver from the Gigabyte support drive and loaded them onto a USB, not one driver can be seen when the USB is "Browsed" too...
How important is it that the drivers are on a floppy, as I do not have a floppy drive or access to a floppy and drives. Also what driver should be downloading as I tried the 3.2.1540.17 one and that was not seen, so I just downloaded them all in an attempt for success.
I have built a new computer and am currently tryin to install windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. My mouse and keyboard light up and work in the bios screen but once i get to the windows install screen that asks me to pick a time zone my mouse and keyboard freeze and thier lights turn off. I checked my bios to see if legacy was enabled which it is. I have a brand new comp and i cant use it. I have an asus p9x79 motherboard.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSO i jsut got a limited edition windows 7 ultimate 64bit cd and i previously has windows 7 64bit rc installed and when i install the disc i just got it installs fine and everything but when it restarts it goes to the finishing installation and then it starts to boot up but gets stuck at blk screen with the mouse. I have had this problem before with windows 7 rc but all i had to do was just start it in safe mode then shut it down from there and start it back up it normal mode and it worked, but this i cannot do that.
I go to safe mode and it goes to applying settings screen (doesnt do this in normal mode like it should) but it says it cannot finish this in the safe mode... so yeah... I am getting pretty mad because this is the final version of the software and it shouldnt have this problem.
After installing win 7 over xp(clean install by formatting only C drive), will it recognise files in other partitions. Also is it necessary to install keyboard, mouse, etc drivers?

Place Windows 7 inside and restart the system. Now the system boots off the cd and Windows 7 installer disk does its thing.Eventually I reach the page where it reads "Install NowI go to move the mouse. The mouse doesn't work. I try the keyboard. The keyboard doesn't work.To resolve the issue I had to power down the system, unplug the usb keyboard and use an old PS2 keyboard just to get the keyboard to work and install Windows 7.My question is what was the problem and if it occurs next time how do I resolve this issue
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my new clean install of Windows 7, I noticed that my mouse was randomly stuttering for a short second or two. The best way I can describe it is that someone is randomly unplugging and plugging it back in very quickly. After a short search, I heard it was some sort of processor problem in the msconfig.exe -> Boot -> Advanced Options. My computer is a 2 core, 4 thread processor. I tried setting it to 2 processors; the issue didn't seem to arise. However my FPS in games dropped drastically. When I changed it back to 4 processors, it came right back.

2 Issues with a fresh install of Windows 7 RC 7100 x64 on a Dell XPS M1330.
Issue 1
Every other reboot my mouse stops responding. I need to do another restart with the keyboard and then it functions again. Then if I do another restart it stops working. Its like clockwork.
Issue 2
Sleep mode crashes. It goes in to sleep mode fine. if I come back a little bit later and open the lid it doesn't turn on. I push the button and it boots up and tells me it shutdown unexpectedly and has safe mode options.
These are the same 2 issues I had with an earlier version of windows 7 6 months ago. They still haven't fixed this kind of basic stuff?
Just built a new system today, components seem to be working fine. Popped in the 64bit install disk and...can't proceed past the first page of the installation because my keyboard and mouse are not showing up.I thought it might have been the usb ports, but the peripherals show up and work fine when I boot into UEFI. The mouse is a Coolermaster Storm Spawn, and I'm trying to use a Razer Black Widow keyboard.I did a google search,o remedy this.[CODE]
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Windows 7 32 bit. I have a 64bit compliant asrock motherboard and intel cpu. This motherboard supports up to 4gb of ram, which I have. I do want to install 64bit but I'm not sure if it would be worth it. I say so because I was reading on this forum yesterday about 4gb motherboards not being able to address all 4gb of ram even on 64bit.

I have tried the Vista ones but it says opearting system not supported. Can you please advise me where I can get the chipset drivers for windows 7? Also any one found windows 7 Creative drivers for the Extreme gamer edtion? I can only find the Vista drivers but will these still work ok?
I have been running win 7 for about 6 mths now dual boot with xp. I have done a fresh install and got rid of xp and running win 7 straight up. My system is a Gigabyte AM2+ with a phenomII black edition 4 core., 4gb ram onboard video.
Now for the question. i got thinking today and realized i hadnt installed any chipset drivers etc. I look in device manager and all the drivers are from microsoft and from 2006 ? So i go to gigabyte and get the win 7 download but all it installs is the graphic driver and usb filter driver nothing else. I try driver max and it says my drivers are up to date. What am i missing here.
I have a nice new Gigabyte X79-UP4 motherboard, and it is behaving for the most part, however the USB3 ports are not working. Drivers for the port installed fine (from the disk that came with the motherboard) however it is not recognizing either USB3 or USB2 peripherals.
Device Manager reports that the USB3 ports are fine -
I did download the newest Fresco Logic drivers from Gigabyte and the package failed on install with the message below -
Even though the installer failed I was able to go through Device Manager & update the drivers, but unfortunately there has been no improvement in functionality - USB3 and USB2 still do not work.
I have tried several installer packages, from different locations, and all have failed!
i'm new user of windows 7 ultimate and i have this graphics card
Gigabyte 4650 GVR465OC-1GI 1GB (PCI Express) can anyone please help me and give me a link for windows 7 drivers for this card?
problem I'm having is that the on-board audio will not install regardless of what I do, let windows solve the issue, install the (apparently) compatible driver from the Gigabyte website via it's exe or manually from the same source.
I'm a little short on time at the moment so if any more info is required (system or other) please ask but I'm at a loss as to what to do. Despite oodles of googling If I can't find a solution I will just buy a new soundcard but this is a last resort.
I have been trying to install Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 (rev 2.0)
and everytime i do the install fails and the install is then rolled back.
I currently have Vista x32 installed on Gigabyte Raid 0 (there's also an intel raid option but i've never used it). The Vista install runs fine and i've never had a problem.
When i try to install using the GA-P35-DS3 (rev 2.0) raid drivers from the Gigabytes site i get the usual microsoft grumbles about unsigned drivers but then the install seems to go OK from there until the install completes and reboots. At this point it errors out and reboots into the OS rollback install.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with this driver or does anyone have a link to another driver?
Been troubleshooting a desktop we built for video editing at the office for a while, running out of ideas so I thought I'd post here to bounce some thoughts around. The issues is the desktop will randomly BSOD or just black screen with no response, at random times doing random tasks. It is running Windows 7 64bit.
The hardware is a Gigabyte p67-UD3-B3 motherboard with an Intel i7 and 8GB (dual channel,2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 memory(TW34G1333C9A).I believe this to be a memory issue, as I have tested and reinstalled my drivers already. Also,I do not experience the issues when I remove one channel of 4GB of memory. It does not matter which channel,or which sticks are removed.I have used MemTest and received no memory errors. I think the issue is possibly being cause by memory compatibility or memory bios settings.
The memory uses XMP to auto set all the settings in the bios. It appears that the settings are as they should be. Frequency at 1333, volatage 1.5v.Corsair's website lists this ram as compatible with this motherboard. Gigabytes website does not list this memory on their compatibility list, but the 1600 version is.Any input on what I can change in the bios to continue troubleshooting? As I said, when I am running 4GB of ram everything appears to be functioning properly, but when I add another channel of 4GB I start seeing the errors.
How well is gigabyte 720 superv PSU performance? I found it very cheap than other psu brand.Do u have any experience of gigabyte psu.
