Ok I have installed windows 7 I have installed the Nvidia drivers through auto update is this ok or shouold I have done it another way? Also I need the chipset drivers for this board. GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview - GA-965P-DQ6 (rev. 1.0)
I have tried the Vista ones but it says opearting system not supported. Can you please advise me where I can get the chipset drivers for windows 7? Also any one found windows 7 Creative drivers for the Extreme gamer edtion? I can only find the Vista drivers but will these still work ok?
problem I'm having is that the on-board audio will not install regardless of what I do, let windows solve the issue, install the (apparently) compatible driver from the Gigabyte website via it's exe or manually from the same source.
I'm a little short on time at the moment so if any more info is required (system or other) please ask but I'm at a loss as to what to do. Despite oodles of googling If I can't find a solution I will just buy a new soundcard but this is a last resort.
I have a Western Digital 1 TB USB 2.0 that I have connected to a computer that has Gigabyte connection to my NAS which can handle Gigabyte speeds.I am only getting 30.1MB/s.Is there any settings I can do to windows so that it can send faster?
i installed windows7 on my AMD anthelon and i am using s-series m61pme-s2 gigabyte motherboard. mydisplay driver and sound drivers do not support windows7.
I recently installed Windows 7 32 bit. I have a 64bit compliant asrock motherboard and intel cpu. This motherboard supports up to 4gb of ram, which I have. I do want to install 64bit but I'm not sure if it would be worth it. I say so because I was reading on this forum yesterday about 4gb motherboards not being able to address all 4gb of ram even on 64bit.
my computer turns on then off over and over what does that mean gigabyte gah55mud2h I5 2.66 gig what can i check i know how to build my own comp. i installed a new chip because i was told by geek squad but it is stil tuening on for a second then off then on over and over what should i do?
I have been running win 7 for about 6 mths now dual boot with xp. I have done a fresh install and got rid of xp and running win 7 straight up. My system is a Gigabyte AM2+ with a phenomII black edition 4 core., 4gb ram onboard video.
Now for the question. i got thinking today and realized i hadnt installed any chipset drivers etc. I look in device manager and all the drivers are from microsoft and from 2006 ? So i go to gigabyte and get the win 7 download but all it installs is the graphic driver and usb filter driver nothing else. I try driver max and it says my drivers are up to date. What am i missing here.
I have a nice new Gigabyte X79-UP4 motherboard, and it is behaving for the most part, however the USB3 ports are not working. Drivers for the port installed fine (from the disk that came with the motherboard) however it is not recognizing either USB3 or USB2 peripherals.
Device Manager reports that the USB3 ports are fine -
I did download the newest Fresco Logic drivers from Gigabyte and the package failed on install with the message below -
Even though the installer failed I was able to go through Device Manager & update the drivers, but unfortunately there has been no improvement in functionality - USB3 and USB2 still do not work.
I have tried several installer packages, from different locations, and all have failed!
I have been trying to install Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 (rev 2.0)
and everytime i do the install fails and the install is then rolled back.
I currently have Vista x32 installed on Gigabyte Raid 0 (there's also an intel raid option but i've never used it). The Vista install runs fine and i've never had a problem.
When i try to install using the GA-P35-DS3 (rev 2.0) raid drivers from the Gigabytes site i get the usual microsoft grumbles about unsigned drivers but then the install seems to go OK from there until the install completes and reboots. At this point it errors out and reboots into the OS rollback install.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with this driver or does anyone have a link to another driver?
Been troubleshooting a desktop we built for video editing at the office for a while, running out of ideas so I thought I'd post here to bounce some thoughts around. The issues is the desktop will randomly BSOD or just black screen with no response, at random times doing random tasks. It is running Windows 7 64bit.
The hardware is a Gigabyte p67-UD3-B3 motherboard with an Intel i7 and 8GB (dual channel,2x2GB) Corsair DDR3 memory(TW34G1333C9A).I believe this to be a memory issue, as I have tested and reinstalled my drivers already. Also,I do not experience the issues when I remove one channel of 4GB of memory. It does not matter which channel,or which sticks are removed.I have used MemTest and received no memory errors. I think the issue is possibly being cause by memory compatibility or memory bios settings.
The memory uses XMP to auto set all the settings in the bios. It appears that the settings are as they should be. Frequency at 1333, volatage 1.5v.Corsair's website lists this ram as compatible with this motherboard. Gigabytes website does not list this memory on their compatibility list, but the 1600 version is.Any input on what I can change in the bios to continue troubleshooting? As I said, when I am running 4GB of ram everything appears to be functioning properly, but when I add another channel of 4GB I start seeing the errors.
Im an owner of the M912M netbook with Windows 7 RC 7100. I bought recently a external network adapter (Rokland N3) based on the Ralink RT2870 chipset and i have a problem connecting it to the netbook.
Installed the software+driver that came with it on CD and when connecting the adapter Windows says "Driver didn't install etc. etc.". Tried a Windows 7 driver which came from Ralink for this chipset and says same thing. Also Windows Update finds the driver but everytime it tries to install it it comes with a error (80070002, to delete all temp files of the WU, done that but same) and doesn't install it.
Same adapter installed and works fine on different laptops, Sony Vaio VGN-A497XP with same Windows 7 RC 7100, Acer 4630Z with Windows Vista so it shouldnt be a driver or OS problem but something specific to the M912.
Contacted Rokland and they guessed that it should e conflicting with the internal adapter so i removed it together with its driver but nothing.
Recently bought Gigabyte GTS 450 Graphics Card. 90% of the time, I can get to the Windows login screen, but when it tries to go to the desktop, the screen goes black, my Graphics Card fans speed up until they sound like jet engines and I have to hit the reset button to get any signal. Sometimes I don't even make it that far. The funny thing is, occasionally, I will make it through to the desktop with the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" message, but I will get it again if I try to open Firefox. If I make it that far, I am usually stable until my computer is reset, or use any gaming software. It's been like this no matter what driver I use, the packaged driver, 275.33, or the latest 280.26. Gigabyte techs have told me to just try different drivers or send it in.. they've been absolutely worthless!
i'm having trouble installing the latest catalyst drivers.the package fails and keeps knocking me back with the INF file was not find.ive installed the package to a folder and tried to navigate via system and update the driver file but get an error regarding the information set or element settings (and the driver doesn't update.my graphics card is still working so to speak, i can enter games although my system crashed 2 hrs ago from dxgmm1.sys and thats what prompted me to uninstall and reinstall my drivers but im running into alot of problems.i've also tried reinstalling through safe mode and still not working (ive used driver sweeper to make sure it's a fresh install)
