Although it worked the first time, I hit a glitch and had to reinstall Win 7 on a new build. Now, every time I try to install Intel LAN Driver V17.3.0.0 it freezes when it starts. I've formatted and reinstalled a couple times but no luck. I got the NVM Update Utility for Intel 82579V and ran it from an admin prompt, but it says it isn't needed.

1) download any Drivers Backup software, like DriverMax which is Free
2) boot your Vista or previous Windows 7 which has working Intel drivers and "Export" your video drivers from your Drivers Backup Software, say DriverMax
3) boot to Windows 7.build 7000 and "Import" your drivers in your Drivers Backup Soft, like DriverMax

So i read around the forum a little and found some tips like unplugging secondary monitors, extra hard drives and ram chips but still, the installation stops at disk.sys. any ideas?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to install windows on this computer for over a day now, I used to own an MSI board and decided to upgrade to an ASUS m4a89td PRO/USB3 for a raid 0 and crossfire combo. Beforehand, I had windows 7 pro 64 bit installed just fine, playing games and running smoothly. I remember windows being stubborn to install at first, but I was able to figure it out using google and installing raid/mobo drivers.THIS TIME, I am unfortunate to be cursed by windows once again. The windows 7 64 bit install freezes at random intervals... either at the very beginning and at expanding windows files(0%), NOTE. Bios does not freeze.I've tried many things posted on the internet without success... here are the things I have tried.
-burned 5+ discs ranging from 1x - 4x on different media, dual layer virbatim and single layer ritadek dvds
-took out all useless componenets such as my extra video card, ram, sound card, extra drives etc
-tried to install windows on a single hard drive without the raid
-unplugged all usb devices
-loaded raid drivers from the chipset driver downloaded from the asus website
-leaving the install run (frozen) overnight to see if it would magically unfreeze and finish
-turned off a bunch of features in the bios. alot of them made my system unbootable?
-switched dvd burner/reader drive for burning and reading
here are my hardware specs:

Basically, during the installation all of the RAM is used up, and when it ends the system won't free up the RAM, the PC is dead slow and I have to restart it.
It's not a hardware problem, these are my specs:

RAM DDRII 4GB 800mhz
Motherboard: ASUS P5Qpro
ATI RADEON 4850 Toxic 512mb

it's never happened to me with Windows XP, nor Vista, or even Ubuntu.
i used to have 2GB RAM, then when this happened I upgraded to 4 but it made no difference.
At the moment when you install Windows 7 it uses rather generic Microsoft drivers for chipset and other items on the motherboard. Im thinking of installing the proper Intel ones from Download Search Results but since they dont have Windows 7 drivers yet, Ill just use the Vista ones.
Im just wondering which of those drivers on that page Ill need to download for everything thats on my motherboard (DX48BT2) and any of its on board items like nic etc (I have a separate Creative sound card).

I have tried installing the chipset driver and intel matrix storage manager driver (to get SAS working) but both say "Does not support this operating system WNT_6.0P_64_MCE" and "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software. Setup will exit".
Tried using 32,64, vista, 7, everything.

Ok. so I'm trying to install this Intel 802.11bg driver on my Tosh lappy. (I am installing it from a USB Flash drive, since the machine has no network connections.)
I install in XP2 compatability mode, and the report is that the installation is correct. But on restart, "Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter".
Is there a workaround?
We'll I've found others with similar issues, but none exactly like this. Have the HDD and SDD setup on RAID0 due to using IRST. 64Gb of the SDD is allocated as RAID0. When W7 prompts me to select the drive for W7 installation the only disk that appears is the 64Gb unallocated SDD sector.I've loaded the IRST 64bit drivers from the ASUS Mobo disk too. It recognizes the file I direct it to, but once loaded it still only recognizes the 64Gb unallocated SDD.

The computer will start fine after you do the fresh install of windows 7 prof. 64 bit with the default video driver from windows. I've updated my bios using gigabyte's @bios tool and I've tried installing th drivers from the disc, from intel's website and with automatic update in device manager. Could a corrupt windows install file cause this issue? I downloaded the ISO from the Microsoft website when I bought the product key.

I have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. Dont use Intel ethernet drivers if your adapter is working, Intel has still outdated 8.3.1.5 drivers on their page, stick with Windows 7 drivers for now 8.4.1.0.

I have a standard vga graphics driver and it won't let me play a lot of games like WoW and etc. I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Family Chipset I have tried to download the correct driver I need but all it does is load for like 10 minutes then it says Unknown error has occurred then it closes.
When I download the driver off the website it says it supports my chipset but when I look at the read me file that tells you what kind of chipset you need to install the driver mine isn't supported.
