After upgrading my mothers pc from vista to windows 7 I have ended 8up with a very sluggish machine, the CPU graph is touching 100% all the time. I had to slow the RAM down to 667 to get 2gb extra to work.
I bought a new laptop now and I am not so well with the technology it says: Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Management Engine Interface so what do I need to do now?
I have an Intel Pentium Windows 7 laptop (see my full system information in the link below), I can get a new graphics chip for it!! I need it to play Sims 3 and I have spent so much time and money on it! A guy told me I need a new graphics chip: "the processor is 2.0GHz when the game requires 2.6GHz on a computer running an integrated graphics chip" I have updated my driver now to 2012, that's the only improvement since his comment....
My one RAM chip just stop functioning (some RAM parity error?). Now i have only 1 GB RAM(ddr2 pc2 6400/5300) in one slot and another slot is empty. I wanted to know if i could install another RAM chip in this slot (of probably higher MHz frequency or of ddr3 type) while maintaining compatibility with the existing one.
I just wanted to post up my results for OCing the new Athlon II X4 620 chip. I purchased it last week from NewEgg.com and received my cooler a couple of days ago. I took some time today to play with it a bit to see what I could squeeze out of it ...
Athlon II X4 620
Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 Rev. 2 cooler
Bus : 270MHz
Multiplier : x13
HT/NB Multiplier : x8 (default is 10)
HT/NB MHz : 2160MHz
Memory : 900MHz (x3.33)
CPU : 3.510MHz
CoreV : 1.45v
Overall I am very happy given I only took about an hour to tweak things in the BIOS. The stock speed is 2.6GHz, and I plan to get it to 3.6GHz when I have more time on Sunday.
I wanna play Chip's Challenge. I tried running it on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit but here's what it says "The version of this file is not compatible with the Windows your running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of this program, then contact the software publisher.
The problem I'm having loading them is the video card. The only resolution is 640x480. I've tried to see if windows update would find the driver but it doesn't. So dose anyone know if a xp driver would work or anything else. It would really save are school lots of money if I can find out how to fix this problem.
I want to get bitlocker working using TPM but don't know how to work out if my motherboard has it.
The mobo is an Asus Rampage 2 gene. I can't see anything about it in bios, or on their website.
Do all mobo's have this nowdays? Or is it only laptop motherboards?
Ps I can't check at this point using win7 itself because I've only got win7 professional installed and have to go change it to ultimate or enterprise so it has bitlocker (I think). I can't see it listed under devices/security, altho I don't know if this is because of the version of win7 or because the mobo doesn't have TPM.
i changed the OS of my laptop from windows7 starter to windows ultimate x64. but i cant connect my laptop to the internet. some drivers are missing. {2 BASE SYSTEM DEVICE DRIVER missing, ETHERNET CONTROLLER DRIVER missing, NETWORK CONTROLLER and VIDEO CONTROLLER DRIVER is also missing.} solve this?i tried to install the ethermet driver i downloaded. but it always shows this error " error:failed to install, no device driver is present to your computer"
I have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?
I recently installed a WD 500GB Scorpio Black (Sata II).
I am using a Advent 9117, running Windows 7 32-bit. The drives works fine but was just wondering if i need to install the Intel Rapid Storage Manager/ Intel Matrix Storage Manager program and driver. Will i gain any benefits from doing so? Or is the Windows 7 driver currently installed for the hard-drive fine?
I dont use RAID array, but want to use and enable all the features on the harddrive like AHCI etc. Is this already enabled and used with the current Windows 7 driver?
Dont use Intel ethernet drivers if your adapter is working, Intel has still outdated 8.3.1.5 drivers on their page, stick with Windows 7 drivers for now 8.4.1.0.
i installed windows 7 build 7100 RC 32bit build on a desktop. Its a custom build pc so i don't have much info about it. I ran Intel chipset identification and go this:
I need to download the chipset driver. Can anyone help me please?
I have a standard vga graphics driver and it won't let me play a lot of games like WoW and etc. I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Family Chipset I have tried to download the correct driver I need but all it does is load for like 10 minutes then it says Unknown error has occurred then it closes.
When I download the driver off the website it says it supports my chipset but when I look at the read me file that tells you what kind of chipset you need to install the driver mine isn't supported.
A new Intel driver for GMA 500 graphics has been released for the Sony Vaio P with noticeable improvements in video viewing, Aero performance (enables 3D acceleration) and web browsing. I have been advised that it Works only under Vista and Windows 7, no XP.
Apparently you have to install under Windows 7, use compatibility mode and select Vista as OS. Can someone please guide me on how to install using compatibility mode ?
does anyone know where to get a windows 7 extreme pci driver for a gateway gm5632e with an intel g33 chipset. windows says it can't find a driver for my pci simple communications controler and i cant use my pci slot for my sound card and my on board sound card won't work so i have no sound at all.
May I know can I disable Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor & Intel® Management Engine Components or not? If I disable both of them will cause any bad effect?
I've been getting this warning now for a few months and just can't seem to be able to find out how to fix this or get rid of the warning in my Event Viewer. I own a Acer 8943g Notebook running Windows 7 x64/4gb RAM/Core i5 430M processor. My drivers all seem to be up to date. The services are running and I'm just at a loss.I'm an above average user so I'm not lost when it comes to troubleshooting, but this problem seems to have a lot of different solutions and I can't seem to pin one down, so hopefully I've come to the right place.
Every 5-10 minutes my screen turns black, sort of flashes a bit, and then comes back on in different colours and the windows are all different sizes, but then it changes a bit and goes back to normal. Then I get a balloon message from the task bar saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista® stopped responding and has successfully recovered." (screenshot below) For some reason it says "for Windows Vista® but I am on Windows 7. When it has come back to normal again, Chrome goes all funny and the tabs won't switch. So if I try to switch tabs, the top thing is on the tab that I have switched to, but the main screen below stays on what the previous tab was. Also, sometimes the tab becomes unresponsive and I have to either restart Chrome or refresh the tab.
I know Intel isn't supporting the old Intel Play QX3 microscope. Does anybody know if someone created a driver for the microscope that will work with Windows 7-64 bit.
