I read a little about it at Intel's website that its for Core i7 (which I have), but when I try to install it I get an error box that my hardware is not supported.
Just curious if anyone knows anything about this driver and/or why I may not be able to install it.

Did a clean install on my Vaio laptop (VPCF11LFX) of Win 7 64 bit Ultimate. Before I had a program under Control Panel/Program and Features called Intel Turbo Boost Technology Driver. Now I don't. I can't find out what this program is or what it's purpose is. Is it even necessary as my laptop seems to be running fine. I found the latest version (I think) and it seemed to load but when I checked, it didn't show up under Programs and Features.

When I try to install it at the end I get this message:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I tried going into cmd and typing ''regsvr32 VbScript'' and it worked as it should, but even after I removed the driver and tried installing it again it still did not work.

I have an Acer Aspire 7745g laptop, 8gb ram, ati 5650m graphics card, and an i5 460M dual core with hyperthreading, clock speed 2.53 ghz and Windows 7 64 bit When playing games like BF3, I notice that the processor is close to 100%, usually between 90% and sometimes going to 100%. I was wondering why Intel Turbo boost never kicks in, it says with turbo boost my cpu can go up to 2.8 ghz, but it always stays at 2.53 whenever I check on the turbo boost monitor

I had it installed previously on my computer, but it was in Program Files x86, so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall, but am greeted by a blank install box that I cannot read. The only visible option is the OK button which cancels the install. [code] I am running Win 7 64 bit on a P6TD Deluxe board with my main drive a CORSAIR CMFSSD-128GBG2D.

I put two HDDs on GA P55A-UD4P motherboard in Raid1 type array (on Intel SATA Controller) and they were working fine for quite some time (2 weeks or so). One day, after Windows started up, I noticed a blue icon on Intel RST manager and it says that the array is initializing. Will it delete the data that is stored in there already ? As far as I know, initialization is needed in Raid5 type arrays, where parity needs to be calculated. Raid1 is a pure mirror so what would be the need for initialization right now with data in the array already?

My Windows 7 is running slow however it is different from simply lagging. The mouse works fine however clicking on applications does not bring them up. The only difference I can see is an error message coming up saying "Intel Rapid Storage Technology not working". Any ideas on what I should do or extra information you require?

I upgraded to windows 7 over vista the other day and I just noticed a problem. I have the Intel Turbo Memory Readyboost and it used to work perfectly with Vista, but I just opened the window where you enable/disable it, and it said it was disabled, so i enabled it and it asked me to restart my computer so I did, and when I restarted I went back just to make sure it was enabled and it is still disabled. I tried it again and same thing happened... anyone know why or how to fix it?

See, I have a AM3+ motherboard, and currently a FX 6200 clocked at 4.2GHz, thing is, I feel when I try to play say BF3 on a 32 man server, My pc run's smooth, yet come to a 64 man server, My PC feels sluggish and well fails. Now I know Its going to effect my FPS and CPU usage with what settings in game am I running, well Ultra I don't use I mainly use a mix of medium and high, to Me its all about performance before eye candy, but BF3 seems to have no performance boost the lower I turn the settings down, I mean with one card I get 98-99% usage but in SLI I get 50% on each card with v sync disabled and on ultra I have even tried with settings on low and enabling v sync, lol that is just worse! I have been told the higher the settings, the higher the usage, and my cpu seems to be lagging behind.I know there is things to take into consideration like the Ram, Graphics, Hard drives, Lag ect, But I'm running two GTX 480's, 2 Velociraptor Hdd, 16GB Corsair Dominator Ram, a Corsair HX 1050w psu and Windows 8.Come January I'm planning a upgrade, but what My dilemma is should I move to Intel has I feel my issue is a major bottleneck with the 480's and my CPU, I don't want to buy a 200 cpu (8350) and a few months down the line have to invest in a Intel because the Pile driver has failed like the Bulldozer did! Or just upgrade to a Intel i5 or i7, I mainly game but do video work as well, even considering getting a i7 2600k or 2700k,

To start, a quote from Windows 7 EULA: Quote: ... 2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. a. One Copy per Computer. You may install one copy of the software on one computer. That computer is the "licensed computer." ... As the older geeks certainly remember, in earlier Windows versions it was possible to use different hardware profiles. You simply got a boot menu asking which hardware profile to boot.In 7 this is not possible. You have to manually disable or enable the hardware components when the need arises.
What if I install all the software I need, activate Seven, then create a system image. Shut down the computer, disconnect the Windows 7 HD, attach an equal new HD, use recovery tools to return the said image to this HD number 2. Put HD 1 back, use BCEDIT or a third party tool to create a boot menu which at this point would include two absolutely identical Seven installations. Then strip down Seven setup #2, disable all unnecessary devices etc. thus creating a Seven - Seven dual boot environment, with two different HW-profiles. The computer is the same, only one of the two Sevens could be used at any given time, and so on

I have a problem with color management :
I'm an amateur photographer, I have made an ICC color profile for my screen under windows xp (using a friend's probe and software) the profile works perfectly under xp
I have loaded it under seven following all the steps found here
Color management settings: frequently asked questions - Windows Vista Help
at the "How do I change the default color settings for a specific device for all users on the computer?" section
The monitor is properly installed, the profile is set as default for my monitor, but I can see no change in color rendering... as if the icc profile is not active
Any pointers ?

I have tried the following:
* Unplugged the mouse

My bios and graphic card are updated. The hibernate option is working fine. Is there a way to find what turns on the monitor?

I finally solved my own problem with these drivers, after looking around Win 7 for a few minutes.
With the old discontinued Intel drivers, which were only made for XP.
(The only one I'm sure works, since it's the only one I have tested, is the 845G Series chipset drivers, mine is the 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV rubbish.)

The problem is that all the USB inputs on the computer aren't working ... I can't use my mouse I can't use anything that connects with USB. In the Device Manager it tell me I have Code 19, which is a problem with the registry files. Can anyone please help me solve this problem? if not I have no choice and need to go back to Vista .
