I have been trying to install windows on this computer for over a day now, I used to own an MSI board and decided to upgrade to an ASUS m4a89td PRO/USB3 for a raid 0 and crossfire combo. Beforehand, I had windows 7 pro 64 bit installed just fine, playing games and running smoothly. I remember windows being stubborn to install at first, but I was able to figure it out using google and installing raid/mobo drivers.THIS TIME, I am unfortunate to be cursed by windows once again. The windows 7 64 bit install freezes at random intervals... either at the very beginning and at expanding windows files(0%), NOTE. Bios does not freeze.I've tried many things posted on the internet without success... here are the things I have tried.
-burned 5+ discs ranging from 1x - 4x on different media, dual layer virbatim and single layer ritadek dvds
-took out all useless componenets such as my extra video card, ram, sound card, extra drives etc
-tried to install windows on a single hard drive without the raid
-unplugged all usb devices
-loaded raid drivers from the chipset driver downloaded from the asus website
-leaving the install run (frozen) overnight to see if it would magically unfreeze and finish
-turned off a bunch of features in the bios. alot of them made my system unbootable?
-switched dvd burner/reader drive for burning and reading
here are my hardware specs:
1090t 6core processor
4gb x2 CORSAIR 1333MHZ ram
ASUS m4a89td PRO/USB3
700 watt OCZ power supply
2x radeon 5770 HD VAPOR-X video card
LG dual dvd burner
I am doing a clean install, Windows 7 from XP.Like many here I can get to the completing installation point before the installation freezes. It seems to be going well then it re-boots, at this point the display is a smaller format and the cusor freezes and the installation haults.I suspect that the graphics card might be the problem, GenForce 9800GTX.
after a few seconds with a flashy windows logo the computer freezes. I also tried to boot it up in safe mode and it stopped loading at disk.sys. So i read around the forum a little and found some tips like unplugging secondary monitors, extra hard drives and ram chips but still, the installation stops at disk.sys. any ideas?
I've had this problem only on windows7, for every game I've installed.
Basically, during the installation all of the RAM is used up, and when it ends the system won't free up the RAM, the PC is dead slow and I have to restart it.
It's not a hardware problem, these are my specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0ghz
RAM DDRII 4GB 800mhz
Motherboard: ASUS P5Qpro
ATI RADEON 4850 Toxic 512mb
Windows 7 RTM x64
has this happened to anyone else?
it's never happened to me with Windows XP, nor Vista, or even Ubuntu.
i used to have 2GB RAM, then when this happened I upgraded to 4 but it made no difference.
Although it worked the first time, I hit a glitch and had to reinstall Win 7 on a new build. Now, every time I try to install Intel LAN Driver V17.3.0.0 it freezes when it starts. I've formatted and reinstalled a couple times but no luck. I got the NVM Update Utility for Intel 82579V and ran it from an admin prompt, but it says it isn't needed.
Im having screen freezes every couple of days. My whole computer just freeze what its doing.Been

I have IE9 I can not open a specific website. All others open without a problem. I get no error message it will not even begin polling to connect. I've checked Add-Ons - no problem; checked Internet Connections and Security issues - no problem; checked through my Anti-Virus program Kaspersky - no problem; restarted computer - didn't change anything. I don't know what else to do!
i just played a movie off of a flash drive of mine and after playing, the green bar across the 'computer' directory went across. I am using windows 7, but it deleted my entire flash drive and i have no idea why, I didnt tell it to do that or anything. I need this all back, will you tell me what i need to do to get this back?
I keep trying to update Windows Live Essential but it tells me to turn on my firewall and it is on. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and it did but didn't load Windows Live Mail. That is the client I use. I loaded Thunderbird and it couldn't find my contacts. So....I restored to 2 days earlier and I am back to square one. What do I do next.
The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1420 running Windows Vista Home. When I turn on the laptop, the computer boots up and then goes to a menu where I can either choose to Start Windows Normally, or Begin Start Up Repair. Both of these options cause the computer to load for a few moments, and then it BSODs, with the error unmountable_Boot_Volume.I then tried to boot the computer off the Windows Vista install disk. It goes through Loading Windows Files, and then it begins loading Windows, and then it BSODs with the error Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area. I am now stuck with what to do.Also loading the computer in safe mode also reults in a BSOD.
the ultimate versione have or not have 10 connection limits on tcpip.sys? on internet i find conflicting opinions i test tcp-z and write the connection is 10.
Im currently running windows 7 32 bit on a 150Gb SATA drive and want to upgrade to a larger SATA 2 drive to utilise the motherboards potential. Im also looking to upgrade my memory as 32 bit doesnt support anything more than 4Gb. Ive searched most forums and found that i do need to carry out a clean install, but is there a way to create a system image from the 32 bit and only restore the programs and settings that i require. Im not looking forward to re-installing all programs from scratch unless i absolutely have to. Im also worried that even if i cant restore programs that all my settings wont be recovered. I am planning on still keeping my existing hard drive as a slave and use for backup, so before i format this i will still have access to all my information.
When I plug in my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition I get a "driver not installed" alert. I have Windows 7 and have installed the latest version of TI Connect. If I go to Device Manager and look for the driver, the dialog boxes indicate that no driver is installed. Where can I download a driver. I sent them a message and the return message indicated that they had not read my message.
Ok so this all started when i wanted to add new ram. I was running on 4gbs of ram then i recently bought 2 4gbs of ram so installed it and then my computer started randomly restarting. Then i changed the ram back to how it was and it is still happening now. Im not sure what to do exactly.

(feeling dumb)I have trawled through the asus website and driverstock and many forums who all seem to say it is a problem on the asus drivers being out of date.I still have an old Hard drive with XP on it from this desktop with all working drivers can i migrate them?
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have done a system backup of my portable and restored it to a larger hard disk. Everything is working OK except for Windows Update. When I try to run Windows Update I get a task isn't running message - Unknown Error 8024A000. I have replaced the old hard disk and Windows Update works just fine.
