I started noticing frequent locks-ups/freezing/restarting/BSOD when my pc runs any game, plays HD vids, and anything that requires the Graphic card to do some work. Sometimes the USB ports just suddenly drop out and stop working.
It only happens when I use something that the FX card needs to run on heavily. If im just browsing the net or working in a document, nothing happens. I see it most when i open "World of Warcraft" for example, its on the highest settings etc, at a random time between 5-60 minutes it will freeze/restart/BSOD. Sometimes i get lucky, but most of the time i will have to hard reboot cuz of a lock-up of the keyboard or mouse.
I dont think its a heating problem because i just removed all the dust and such from my PC about 2 weeks ago, and temp's of the processors look ok. I noticed something else, if i touch the case of my PC at specific spots, i get a bit of a shock from the electricity, i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but it could be PSU related? Im not so sure. Just giving u all the details.
Whenever I am playing graphic intense games my computer will blue screen with the BSOD crash error STOP 0x00000101. It usually happens within the first 5-15 minutes of play This computer was recently built at my local Frys Electronics 3 days ago.[CODE]From what I am told this PC should be able to run graphic intense games just fine on very high settings. I am most likely taking it back to the s
this is the error I get everyday one or two times a day for the past week now. I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 with Windows 7 on it for about one year with no problems until now.I have know idea what the problem could be, does anyone know what it could be?
My computer has been working fine for almost a year now, and the BSOD just started two days ago while playing Skyrim. I thought it was just Skyrim, so I stopped playing that and just left it for a while. Today, my computer got the BSOD during normal flash gaming, and then again 30 or so minutes later when I was trying to post here.

I purchased an HP dvt6-7000 laptop about a month ago - Windows home premium 64 bit. Am using it for work, but recently it's started crashing whenever I leave the computer and it auto-locks. I tried disabling sleep but it still crashes. I called HP support and they had me test the memory and hard drive in Bios, and update the BIOS, but it still crashed.

My computer was "sleeping". Now when starting apps like Firefox, Thunderbird, Chrome, etc, I get an WerFault.exe error: "The instruction at 0x0000002b referenced memory at 0x0000002b. The memory could not be written". However, is does not affect IE or app that came with the OS.
Window 7 Ultimate 64bit, memory test did not indicate hardware failure, virus scan from live cd detected nothing.
I was unable to launch .exe applications that relied on the MSI installer. The solution was to go to services and start the 'windows installer service'...doing this fixed some of the issues but apparently not all of them. I still can't run Fireworks or AvastUI.exe and other apps such as Upgrade Advisor. Heck, I can't even run certain windows updates. I have a HP desktop running Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. I know for a fact that there are no mal/ad/spyware on my computer.
I have ran Trojan Remover and removed all the junk that I'm sure caused the problem in the first place. Here are some windows provided solutions I have tried: I have ran all MS 'Fix-It' apps, uninstalled reinstalled my apps, went to command line ran 'msiexec /regserver'. I know windows installer is installed but its corrupted for sure. My last resort is to wipe out the OS and reinstall it.
Earlier today, my computer is not working properly since i started it up.An error would show everytime a programs try to start. It would show " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000b5). " everytime i try to start google chrome. Other programs like games also creates error, some with different error codes like (0xc0000185).Steam has creates a different error which says " Steam.exe(main exception): Unable to load library SteamUI.dll, Win32 Error 121 "The semaphore timeout period has expired."However, some programs like internet explorer, photoshop and microsoft office would work, which i suspect is because they are 64bit softwares.
I just installed Windows 7 ult 64bit, clean install with OEM OS. Will only recognize 1 of my graphic cards. Code 12 error. Like I said, clean install, no resources to shut down to make room for the 2nd card. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

My computer is 2 years old and I only use it for gaming. This problem just started after installing Reckoning 2 weeks ago. Sometimes the comp runs for hours without a BSOD other days its every 15 minutes. This same thing happened when I was playing World of Warcraft AFTER i installed Reckoning.
I'm getting BSOD crashes intermittently, but strangely enough only when my PC is idle. Error log below, and dump file attached.

I'm new to seven forums and need help with a few odd BSOD's. This is my first high performance laptop and I just got it 3 weeks ago. Anyways, it works fine when im not doing anything like now, but when I start up a game, anything GPU intensive actually, after a while the screen will garble up and ill get a BSOD with the sound of what was currently happening recuring in an infinite loop. I have all 3 dump files and will have them attached.
I cannot download any applications from any website. When I click on a website's "download" button, I immediately get a message box which says" "C:Users[my name]AppDataLocalTemp[for example]wfxiIAci.exe.part" could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder. Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location".When I checked ownership, "Users" was "Administrators"; "my name" was either "System" or "my name"; "AppData" was "System"; "Temp" was probably "System".I followed the instructions on a Microsoft "technet" webpage to change the ownership of the tree "C:Users [my name]AppDataLocalTemp" to "Administrators". This did not allow the downloads or change the message. [code]
recently installed windows 7 ultimate x32.when i install graphic card drivers i get "display kernel driver stopped responding and has been succesfully recovered" and i get TDR errors.i can play games with default driver that windows installed but games are laggy and crashes after 30 minutes if i play on higher graphic,i can only play on low graphics and i cant play minecraft cause it requires graphic card drivers .i have nvidia geforce 9600 gt and i can usually play games at medium to high graphic and older games at high but now without drivers i can only play on low graphic, and when i install drivers i get errors .only driver that worked for me is 306 beta but when i install that driver i get TDR error
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OEM - What is the age of system (hardware)?: Under 6 months. (GPU under 1 week.)- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?): A week old.If you need any information other than what I've posted here, let me know. I'll be monitoring this post.Files attached below.QUICK EDIT: Diablo 3, Skyrim are a few games that I've had problems with.I've also neglected to mention I switched out my GTX 520 for a Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti.
when running memory certain intensive applications like VLC (when watching videos) or uTorrent, I intermitentley get BSOD crashes (screen shot below), which can happen every 10 minutes to several hours apart.
- What is the age of system (hardware)? Less than 1 year
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) Aprox. 4 months
I've been having some BSOD issues, mostly 0x0000124.I tried updating my BIOS but the problem persists.Ran memtest for 1 hour with no apparent error.Got a BSOD when running prime95 (it was not 0x0000124 but I think it was hardware related)Always get BSOD when doing some intensive encoding in Sony Vegas (and it's my default way to test for BSOD)Note that I was using just 1 DIMM of RAM when making the report .zip
Around the new year, I installed new RAM. Ever since, I have been getting BSOD at various times. I ran memtest86 and it came back clean. Unfortunately I left the old RAM a few thousand miles away so I can't test it with that. I also started playing a couple of more graphics intensive games (Star Trek Online and BFBC2) around that same time. At first, the BSOD would only occur during gameplay. Lately, the games have been running better but I get random blue screens while web browsing about once a week. The ones during games usually said atimpag.sys or dxgmms.sys. The ones during browsing usually say ntfs.sys or fltmgr.sys. ntoskrnl.exe seems to occur with both. I've attached a file with the dmps and some screen shots of cpuz.
I went through my first attempt at building my own computer about 2 months ago and the process went fine. But about a week after I began using it, I started getting BSOD that seemed happen whenever I would run a CPU intensive program (Handbrake, VMWare Player, etc). It won't always crash when running one of these, but maybe once every couple of days when running a program such as this.I've tried the following after researching online: Ran memtest86 overnight, no errors found in RAM Put in a beefier CPU cooler (ZALMAN CNPS9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler) to lower the CPU temps Reinstalled to a fresh version of Windows 7 Ran 'verifier.exe' according to the steps shown in many posts here - the result of this is that about 30-60 seconds after I login to Windows, a BSOD occurs - this is repeatable every time until I cancel the verifier program The specs of this computer are as follows: Intel Core i7 3770 processor Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64 Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-16GBXL ASUS Sabertooth Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/z USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard NVIDIA GTX GeForce 550ti (installed AFTER the BSOD started occurring) Crucial M4 2.5" 64 GB SATA III Internal SSD Seagate 300 GB HDD (don't have the exact model here) ASUS 24x DVD-RW ?
I've recently received a laptop which has Windows 7 preloaded. About a week after starting to use it, I started experiencing random crashes while CPU intensive operations are occurring. I don't even get a BSOD, the screen just goes black for about .5 of a second and then the entire computer just shuts off. Furthermore, I've scanned for any malicious software, bad packets, etc etc. and those scans returned nothing.
I'm contemplating buying a graphic card, but have no clue on which one to get! I'm not really playing games, mostly for my graphic drawing programs. So looking at my specs what would you guys suggest?
1- I was trying to install my Microsoft Flight Simulator X and I got the "Error 1935" at the end when it was "Publishing Product information", it then rolled the action back and I got this exact error massage:
Error 1935.An error ocurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.MSXML2,publicKeyToken="6bd6b9abf345378f",version="4.1. 0.0",type="win32",processorArchitecture="x86"'.Please refer to Help and Support for more information.
2- So I looked up what "Error 1935" was and found this site(link below) which says, "This error occurs during the system update stage of the installation when the Microsoft XML Parser 4 installs."
[URL]
3- I then went to this site(link below) to update my Microsoft XML.
[URL]
4- But when I start installing Microsoft MSXML 4.0 SP2 Parser and SDK it gets stuck at "Publishing Product Information" part. In about 10-20 minutes it rolls back the action and says in ended prematurely because of an error, and that nothing has changed and you need to rerun it again at a later time.
5- I found this form(again, link below) that explains why the Microsoft MSXML 4.0 SP2 might not be installing.
[URL]
Here is what the link says for me to do:
Click Start Click All Programs Click Accessories and right click on the Command Prompt. Select the Security Tab and choose "Run as Administrator" Click on Command Prompt Type SFC /Scannow.
This will scan and fix any corrupted operating system files.
6- I did exactly what the instructions said, but after starting the Command Prompt I got this massage, "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service". So yet again I looked up what this was and found this right away(link below).
[URL]
I did what it says in this link also, but it was already set to manual. I reset it again to manual and Command Prompt still had the same error. I have also tried uninstalling Advast and booting up in my Windows cd and Starting up only the core system 32 files and Command Prompt and starting in safe mod to try and all with no success. I have Windows 7 Pro 64bit that was a upgraded from Windows XP Home. And a cd that I can use to boot from with my Win 7 pro 64bit on it.Not sure where else I can go with this. I am wanting to get this MSXML 4.0 working for more than just installing applications, because I am having problems with it with other applications, minor ones though. And just to get in fixed in and for itself.
I have sent in my computer to get repaired and got it back yestersay. Since then i've been trying to get it to work properly again.I can't play any of the games I used to play before I sent it in to get repaired (for example, Battlefield 3). I can start dota2 but it looks pretty messed up. My computer shows me that I have an nvidia geforce 7025 nforce 630a graphic card.Although it says in the computer description that it SHOULD have a AMD HD 6870 1GB GDDR 5. My screen isn't plugged in the graphic card, since it doesn't recieve anything from there. It is plugged directly to the motherboard. So, from what I understand the nvidia card is the integrated graphic card or am I totally wrong?Anyway, the device manager can only find the nvidia card and I cannot run any game smoothly on this computer. Before I realized this possibility I've tried to download newer drivers for the nvidia card, but it didn't help.
I'm currently experiencing a strange problem with my laptop. Whenever I certain gaming program run in the background (not in focus) the applications seem to shift back and forth from from "Running" and "Not Responding" almost like it constantly refreshes itself (every 3 or so seconds). However, if I keep one of those programs in focus, the problem doesn't occur as often. The task bar always seems to be moving as a result of this (almost doing a dance if I open enough programs that have this problem).I've tried updating drivers, installed all service packs, scanned computer with Malware Bytes, Norton.I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit 6.1 (7061), ATI Mobile Radeon HD 5650
On some nights my computer works perfectly fine, I can surf the net without incident, open applications, play games etc and everything appears to be fine. Then there are the other nights (which are increasing in frequency) where the computer boots up fine but then I run into application after application which refuses to load - I will click on the application and the "loading" icon will appear on screen and then just stay there. The only way out is to cntrl-alt-delete and bring up task manager, but this can also then refuse to either load or - if it does - will not respond when I click on the first offending application in an attempt to close that down.I also noticed on the last few nights that when trying to start a particular game clicking on the icon would appear to have activated nothing - yet when I attempted to start it again I would get a message saying that I couldn't start the game until the one I had running had been shut down - but nothing appeared to be running. My computer was built in January of this year. I have regularly run disk cleanups etc and run virus checks at least once a week and nothing shows up.
