I purchased new computer, graphics card: nVidia quadro 600 and a new HP 2311x Monitor. Should be 1920 x 1080 resolution. Downloaded latest drivers off HP website? how to install hp 2311x drivers for windows professional?
I want to find out what changes (registry, files, etc) has been done by an application installation. Is there any freeware for Windows 7 to keep a snapshot of the system before installing an application and then used the snapshot to report all the changes by the application installation?
I've just purchased a copy of windows 7 pro and I'm attempting to install it. After some hick ups at being stuck at the blue wallpaper, I was finally able to fix the issue and click through the options to start the install. As the install starts and it gets to the "expanding files" progress bar, after a 2-3 min, my monitor goes into sleep mode or power-save mode - the screen goes goes to black and my monitor switches from DVI to VGA several times looking for a signal presumably and then just goes into standby like when I am inactive in windows xp for a few min. My computer is still running, however I am unsure whether the installation is still in progress - the dvd drive is still spinning, and the activity LED is still flashing. Some people say to connect the monitor via VGA, however I do not have a VGA port on my Gigabyte P35 DS3R Motherboard. My Video card is a Nvidia 8800 GTS 512mb, with dual DVI ports. I only have 1 monitor connected for the install.
I installed win 7 on my laptop. After completing the instalation, I started with update all drivers through device manager. When monitor software was finished with updating, monitor have had a black screen. There is no signs of life after many times of switching off the laptop on switch button.
I have tried to remove drivers in safe mode, but f8 or f10 on starting up does not run. Simply, screen is black, as it is no part of laptop.
Model of laptop is fujitsu siemens, model of monitor is samsung.
emachine EL1200, AMD Athlon 64, Boxer 61 MB DA061L, 08120-1, 48.3V801.011. 2GB RAM, SATA HDD. Originally Win Vista but upgraded to Win 7 home premium 32 bit which worked ok. Problem - at boot up the following happens: verifying DMI pool data...update success, boot from CD, bootmgr is missing, press ctrl+alt+del to restart. inserted win 7 CD, installation progresses to stage where i get error message: no drives were found.click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation.
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing.
Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color.
This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem.
Today i installed windows 7 professional 64-bit on my acer 5920g laptop. My problem is that at device manager, the monitor driver is generic pnp monitor and i can't install the right driver for my laptop.
I visited the acer website and i didn't find any monitor driver. Is there anything else i could do?
When I go to the LG website and download the Windows 7 driver for the LG Flatron W2361VG-PF my AVG Anti-Virus goes insane saying the Setup.exe file has the virus Win32/Virut in it. Anyone else run into this?
We have a new monitor and it came with a driver CD. I want to install it because it's neccessarry to support it's native resolution (1920x1080, I can't select this when connecting via RGB) The problem (and my question) is:The driver fails to install. I don't really get how this driver would work. It seems it wants to install on top of the graphics driver (Intel GMA x3100)The Monitor driver is available here: link here get the ZIP file (I guess it can be also found on LG's English website. Just search for M2232)You can try it in a virtual machine, it isn't required to have the monitor connected so you can try it if you don't own this product. (thoughI I *did* connect it)It wants me to select the display driver to install on. Basically it lists every output. I selected the one I had the monitor connected (It said Non-PNP display). It had no effect so I installed it on the other one too but still no effect.I did a system restore to try again (as there is no uninstaller for the driver, be careful! try it in a VM). Now it is doing the same, it says install successful, but then I get another popup saying install failed.
I formatted my dell studio 1749, since then, the resolution cannot be set to my desired resolution, the highest is 1152 x 864, which is ok with me. How do i get the driver for this. display is; Generic PnP Monitor on standard vga graphics adapter.
I own a Samsung SyncMaster 913v, and I am missing its driver for Windows 7 but , when I check the website for download, it's only available for Windows XP, does it means I won't be able to find a suitable driver for it?
I just got a brand new computer for christmas, it's a hp compaq dc5850, and it was working fine until now! I tried turning the computer on and it got stuck at the blue hp invent screen, I didn't know what to do, so I finally decided to just try and restore it. When I try to use the windows 7 disc to do this it keeps saying "no drives were found. Click to load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation".
getting the driver for the Dell LCD Monitor 2007WFB - OS installed is Windows 7 64Bit. Infact I have tried many times to download the drivers from the net, there are no Win7 drivers listed in Dell site for this product. I tried to use Vista drivers, unfortunately no use. Still I could see in the display properties & in Device Manager - "Generic Non-PNP Monitor"
System specification:
Intel DG41KR Motherboard with Intel C2D 2.66Ghz CPU 320HDD
I have a three monitor set up. Whenever I open up a browser, either internet explorer or google chrome on monitors 2 and 3, after a few seconds it automatically drags my browser into my main monitor(monitor 1, where my start button and status bar is located)
I have a setup with 6 monitors. Today my main monitor broke and I couldn't find a way to shut the PC down since I couldn't access the main desktop to get to the Start menu.Is there a way to change which monitor is the main monitor without having access to the current main monitor?
Just like Vista, I cannot seem to find any way to stop the automatic driver installation. I love how when I uninstall a driver/device in XP, on reboot it pops up asking me what to do. Vista and 7 on the other hand, take it upon themselves to reinstall Microsoft drivers on reboot no matter what I do.
I've searched online and yielded no results, and searched here and didn't find anything either (Key words yield many results). Ideally I would prefer Vista/7 to just IGNORE the new device, so I can install the new one/update it myself. But if that can't be done, I'd at least like to be able to STOP the automatic driver installation.
Theres gotta be some way, even if I have to edit something or add registry keys, I just want to stop the automatic microsoft driver installation.
I currently have Windows 7 RC(Build 7100) x64 installed on my Lenovo Y650. The problem im currently having is that almost all of the drivers/system devices I try to install on windows hang during installation. In earlier builds I never had this problem, and it has only recently started happening. In fact, I am running 7100 only because the RTM build refused to install the drivers for my printer(which i needed badly) and I had to revert to 7100.
So far I have had this problem of hanging driver installs with my ipod, my blackjack II(installing windows mobile center), and updating my synaptic drivers. the install windows just sit there and nothing ever happens. I can eventually end the processes but I experience a slow down in performance that is only fixed by rebooting.
The strange thing about this whole problem is that I already had this exact build installed before had no problems with it, this has only started after i reinstalled(clean) with the RTM.
I have already searched google for all my specific problems and found nothing useful. Does anybody have any tips/fixes I can try that I may have overlooked?
I am running a dual monitor setup with my TV hooked up via HDMI to my laptop.
Everything was working fine before, I always had the laptop as my main display yet I could play a video or a game fullscreen on the TV.
Since a couple of days, as soon as I put something in fullscreen, it immediately goes on my laptop, regardless if it's open on my TV or my laptop. I don't remember changing/installing anything that could've changed that...
I checked a bit in the AMD vision software and the Windows control pannel but I can't seem to solve my problem without switching my TV as the main display. I also made a quick search on google as well as here but the problems were mainly with Flash, which isn't in cause here.
Here are my system specs:
Toshiba Satellite L75D Windows 7 home premium 64-bit AMD Radeon 6520G
I have just did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate from XP and I am unable to get my dual monitors to work like they did in XP.
I have a DVI Radeon graphics card plugged into the agp slot, and a Nvidia geforce vga adapter plugged into a pci slot of my dell optiplex 755. When I am in the screen resolution settings the second monitor cannot be detected.
In bios I have 2 options under primary video adapter and they are auto, and onboard card. When set to auto the Nvidia card gets a signal but the Radeon does not. There are no conflicts in the device manager, and all of the drivers are up to date.
When I change the bios option to onboard card the Radeon adapter gets a signal but the other monitor cannot be detected and in device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Standard VGA adapter and a code 10 error that states the device could not be started.
I have powered down, and unplugged every cable, I also tried to use the integrated VGA adapter to the Intel G31/G33/Q33/Q35 Graphics Controller but the computer will not even boot. I get
"System Halted
Attention Unsupported Video Configuration Detected"
I have two monitors, both work fine as standalone but Windows will not detect either as a secondary.
Please help me someone, I am so used to having my helpdesk email open in one monitor and all of my other work in the other monitor.
about a year ago I had a problem with my pc where I would get the error message "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and the occasional BSOD. I solved this problem by simply flashing my bios. However a similar problem has now arrived ( note I have not changed any hardware since the last error) where:
- There is a constant buzzing from my monitor ( NOT a problem with the monitor as it works fine in safe mode with no buzzing, which is why I suspect a gpu problem)
- I get random "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" messages, but no BSODs. OR the display just goes black and I have to hard reset my pc.
Recently I started getting notifications and the such that said "Windows is not genuine." after letting a friend use my computer, I backed all my files up and re-installed Windows 7, but the drivers for the WLAN card didn't install correctly (probably because i had to borrow the boot disk from someone). So I used a friend's computer to download the drivers from HP, but after running the installation it opens for maybe a second (at least I can see the icon appear in the taskbar) and closes again. The model of my PC is HP 2000-299WM Notebook PC and is running windows 7.
i am going to install a factory oem windows 7 on my hp laptop following the gregrocker tutorial. now when i check the hp support site for drivers and softwares, i am confused on what to install and what to not.
Our office computers were just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64bit. We have 4 computers networked using a Work Network group. I am trying to install a HP LaserJet P2035 printer on one of the workstations but the CD that came with the printer does not have the driver to support Windows 7We just purchased the printer in March 2011, so I thought it would be compatiable with the new computers. However, I have tried everything that I can think of to find a driver that will work with Windows 7 with no luck.
When I plug it in, driver installation starts but fails. I can locate the device in the Device Manager, should I be manually installing a driver in this case? If so, I'd like to have a driver.
tried to install driver for samsung laser printer 331 ond on desktop w/win 7 home premium.message says cannot locate printer & in devices & printer its shown in unspecified.checked printer by installing on laptop w/ xp worked fine
