Monitor Driver On Acer 5920g
Today i installed windows 7 professional 64-bit on my acer 5920g laptop. My problem is that at device manager, the monitor driver is generic pnp monitor and i can't install the right driver for my laptop.
I visited the acer website and i didn't find any monitor driver. Is there anything else i could do?

Upgrade On Acer Aspire 5920G
i just upgraded and have a few issues. altogether windows 7 is fine but in devices and printers ive got CRD-PC with an exclamation Mark under devices and A310 under unspecified. i have installed all the drivers from the acer website. then i also have some usage related issue, i know probably the wrong forum but i dont know where to put them plus dont wanna make a 2nd thread. whenever i restart, i have to reselect VLC as default program to open avi's, it defaults to winamp. happens with all media files, but strangely not with nfo's (havnt tried any other files yet that i set to non default manually). also, my toolbars disappear after evry restart. which is annoying cause i always move it so i have an XP style quickstart panel. my system: acer aspire 5920G T7700 (2.4ghz 2mb L2 Cache 800Mhz FSB) 2GB DDR2 Ram Geforce 8600M GT WIndows 7 ultimate x64

ACER Aspire 5920G Laptop Drivers
Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but any pointers would be hugely appreciated! I'm running an ACER Aspire 5920G laptop, which comes with Vista 32-bit installed. I'd really like to give the Windows 7 RC candidate a try, but don't want to screw anything up! I'm going to add a new partition so I can dual-boot the existing OS with the new one, but my major concerns come from ensuring the hardware works acceptably. The graphics chipset in the 5920G is a Radeon 3470 HD Mobility, and I keep it up to date under Vista using the Mobility Modifier software. Will the same modified drivers work fine with Windows 7 RC? (I'm hoping that there might be someone on this board who's been in a similar position). Also (and this isn't quite on the topic of drivers), the laptop has 4gb of RAM installed - is it worth using a 64-bit version of Windows 7 RC, or does that complicate matters unnecessarily?

Display Does Not Fit Screen - Acer 23 Monitor - Model H233H
I just set up my HP PC (e9220y) today with Windows 7 and my new Acer 23" monitor (h233h). The screen doesn't fit the monitor - icons on the left are only about 1/3 visible, and only the top 1/2 of the taskbar is visible at the bottom. Screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (Window recommended and default). I can only get the screen to fit properly if I lower the resolution to 1776x1000 - but then the screen is too small and I have borders. I've read posts with similar issues, but have yet to see a fix - other than getting a different monitor. HP support didn't have a clue. Any ideas?

WiFi Driver - Acer Aspire 1800
I have an Acer Aspire 1800 that I installed Windows 7 RC onto. I was completely impressed with the ease of the installation and how it seemed to find a driver for everything on my laptop. Well almost everything. Apparently the Os can't find a driver for my wifi and the manufacturer doesn't seem to want to help. Has anyone else used this particular laptop and ahd any luck? I hate that the only thing not having a driver in the Device Manager is the WiFi.

Acer Aspire 6530 Synaptics Touchpad Driver
I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire 6530 laptop, which comes shipped with Windows Vista x86. I promptly made the restore DVDs, and installed Windows 7 x64, with no issues, except, one rather important one: the TouchPad driver does not work. When Windows first booted, the driver that comes with Windows worked fine. You did not get the scroll functionality from the side of the pad, which is meant to act like a scroll, but it recognized movement and the two click buttons. After getting on the Internet, Windows automatically went out and found the Synaptics TouchPad driver for me. Now, according to Device Manager, the driver will function after a restart. TouchPad works fine, go to restart, driver is applied, and.. nothing. The mouse will not move. Any USB mouse if plugged in works fine, but the click buttons and the movement on the pad do nothing. If you go into Device Manage and uninstall the device, the TouchPad works again! It seems whatever TouchPad drivers that are loaded with Windows 7 work like a charm, besides the built in scroll area, work wonderfully, but the driver that it automatically downloads/installs on boot does not after restarting and applying that driver, even though the device is fully functional according to Device Manager. Is there any way to FORCE the built in Windows 7 drivers, or a known fix to get the normal ones to work? Does this have to do with 64bit vs 32bit at all? Note: I have downloaded the driver from the Acer website for Vista and ran it in compatibility mode for Vista, with no change, so it is not just the one Win is automatically finding. Note2: I tried booting without any internet connection after disabling the driver, but Windows went ahead and installed the driver anyway. It was either still downloaded, or in fact comes with 7 and is not gotten through Windows Update, but is not installed initially? Plug and play is weird sometimes =/.

Acer Aspire 5050, Display Driver And Card Reader Problem
I've just installed Windows 7 64bit on my laptop, once installed it installs drivers for "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". I downloaded the ATI drivers from the windows update, When I tried updating the driver it said that "The best driver software for your device is already installed" I have also tried clicking "Add a Device" but it then just sits searching for a device and never stops to allow me to select a device. The standard VGA adapter works ok for basic use of the laptop but it's frustrating that it only allows 800x600 or 1024x768, as this laptop has a widescreen and things on the acreen are appearing stretched. My second issue is the built Card Reader on the laptop does not seem to work. I have three devices showing as drivers not installed they are all identified as "PCI FLASH Memory". I did install the PCI ENE drivers (for Vista) but now the device shows as "This device cannot start". Any ideas on my next step?
