LG Flatron W2361VG-PF Monitor Driver
When I go to the LG website and download the Windows 7 driver for the LG Flatron W2361VG-PF my AVG Anti-Virus goes insane saying the Setup.exe file has the virus Win32/Virut in it. Anyone else run into this?

LG Flatron W2753V Driver / App
Got a new monitor - LG Flatron W2753V with CD install that provides forteManager (India) application. Works in this Mac Pro - Vista boot option, interfacing with monitor to change contrast etc., etc. In Windows 7, I got the Monitor to be seen as LG W2753VC(Digital) in Device Manager rather than PNP default by directing Update Driver in Device Manager to the CD .inf  However the install of forteManager - in all compatbility attempts on Windows 7 results in same window for settings but the visible control selection options do not activate. While there are backlit touch sensitive controls on the bottom of monitor that result in Screen options similar to forte interface, they are next to impossible to use, unlike previous Samsung 225BW Response from LG is: Thank you for contacting LG Customer service. We are here to help provide you with the answers or guidance you need. If you require further assistance please submit a new request or contact customer service at 1-888-542-2623. Unfortunately the software does not support Windows 7. So, while with muliple boot I can revert to Vista & vary settings that are good for Windows 7, I don't expect to keep Vista much longer. Wondering if anyone has suggestion that would make possible install of forteManager. Maybe something about .inf compatability since forte doesn't want to interface with monitor?Â

Samsung Monitor Driver
I've had an ongoing problem with this for some time now. You can see here that my Device Manager tells me that I'm missing a video controller, and also in that post is my inability to watch full screen videos online. Here, I talk about the problems I've had with my display driver crashing. Now, yesterday I downloaded Photoshop, and as it opened, a window popped up saying that my "monitor Profile" is defective and needs to be calibrated (See first attachment). If I choose to Ignore Profile, I can use Photoshop as usual, but everything I export has an irremovable yellow tinge. If I choose to Use Anyway, there is no white in Photoshop's color pallet, only the same yellowish color. This got me thinking for the first time that my monitor was the cause of my problems, so I searched online for Samsung 2243swx drivers. On their webpage, they had up for download only one driver, which is for a VGA graphics card (See second attachment). I've been running a PCI graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS), and I was wondering if this could be the problem. Would you say I ought to buy a VGA graphics card?

Dual Monitor Problems With NVidia Driver
Running 32-bit W7. NVidia 7600GS with a pair of 1920 * 1200 LCD monitors. The NVidia driver that comes with W7 (including the updated one that is delivered through Windows Update) was causing serious problems with my dual monitor setup. The second monitor would remain blank (actually, in power save) when W7 started. The Screen Resolution window would show both monitors, as if they were working. Repeatedly pressing the 'Detect' button would sometimes - but not always - bring the second monitor to life. Sometimes, pressing 'Detect' would cause the second monitor to be "lost" (undetected), and other times it would cause both monitors to go blank, requiring a hard reboot to recover. If you are suffering these symptoms, I can report that I've installed the 32-bit 181.20 Vista driver and it works perfectly. All problems have gone away. Begin by using Control Panel | Programs and Features to uninstall the NVidia software. Reboot. W7 will start up and then install its original (buggy) NVidia driver. Reboot again. Then simply double-click the '181.20_geforce_winvista_32bit_international_whql.exe' driver file. You don't need to worry about running in compatibility mode or anything. It just installs without bother. Reboot once more and both monitors will work with complete reliability. I thought I'd mention it in case you've got similar problems. NVidia make great hardware but their driver software has always been bloody awful.

CHIMEI CMV 221D Widescreen LCD Monitor Monitor Issue
I have a CHIMEI CMV 221D widescreen LCD monitor (22"), native resolution is 1680x1050. Under Win7 RC 64 bit with a 8800GT, this shows up as Generic PnP monitor (I can't find drivers for it anywhere). However, while in Crysis, there are several display resolutions that do not stretch to the full size of the screen. Under XP, only supported resolutions show up. I installed the latest 186.18 nvidia Windows 7 64-bit drivers. There is also a setting in the nVidia control panel for non-native resolution scaling. This seems to be broken. However, when I am not playing a game, and change the resolution of the screen via the desktop, the screen modes work and scale correctly.

Dual Monitor Display Cut Off On One Monitor - Nvidia Gtx 280
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and am experiencing a dual monitor problem using my nvidia gtx 280. I am using driver version 8.17.11.9562 according to control panel. One monitor is an ASUS 19" and the other is an ASUS 22". The left 19" monitor displays perfectly but the second 22" (right monitor) has the display shifted hoirzontally to the left so that part of the screen is cut off. I have tried to adjust this using the monitor's horizontal adjust feature but even when it is adjusted 100% to the right (deFault is 50%) part of the display is cutoff. Does anyone know of another way that this display can be corrected?

Second Monitor Not Found, Primary LCD Monitor Shows As CRT
I have Win 7 Pro installed and working. Display adapter is an ATI Radeon 3870 x2. I have tried drivers from windows update, ATI, and Hanns-G (manu of my monitors). My primary display is showing up as a CRT with and without the driver. My secondary display stays blank and goes into standby mode. Neither problem changes before, during, or after installing any software. I have tried both x64 downloads of ATI software. Currently, windows update's drivers show my display adapters as the right models. (2 gpus on one card, obviously) Does anyone have suggestions? I am completely at a loss after many hours of frustration.

RC1 Dual Monitor - Installs On Wrong Monitor
I have a dual monitor system - the video card is an NVidia GEForce 8800 with two DVI outputs. I use the second monitor sparingly. My BIOS boots to the "primary" monitor, and during the install of RC1, most of the dialog occurred on this monitor. I have set up a dual boot system with Vista and W7 and Vista runs just fine on the primary, and I can turn on the secondary at will. So far so good. However, during the last phase of the install of RC1 (this also occured with the first beta), the final output and startup of RC1 occurred on the secondary (!) monitor. It first seemed as though the install hung - the primary simply showed a black screen even though it had been active thrtought the install. I turned on the secondary, and there was all the final install dialog display. I finished the setup there, and then set my main monitor to be primary and now all is well. The fact that some of the install output displays on the secondary monitor is a problem (especially if I don't happen to have that monitor turned on). The entire install should display on the BIOS boot monitor, I should think...

Dual Monitor Issue, Secondary Monitor Is Undetectable
I have just did a clean install of Windows 7 ultimate from XP and I am unable to get my dual monitors to work like they did in XP. I have a DVI Radeon graphics card plugged into the agp slot, and a Nvidia geforce vga adapter plugged into a pci slot of my dell optiplex 755. When I am in the screen resolution settings the second monitor cannot be detected. In bios I have 2 options under primary video adapter and they are auto, and onboard card. When set to auto the Nvidia card gets a signal but the Radeon does not. There are no conflicts in the device manager, and all of the drivers are up to date. When I change the bios option to onboard card the Radeon adapter gets a signal but the other monitor cannot be detected and in device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Standard VGA adapter and a code 10 error that states the device could not be started. I have powered down, and unplugged every cable, I also tried to use the integrated VGA adapter to the Intel G31/G33/Q33/Q35 Graphics Controller but the computer will not even boot. I get "System Halted Attention Unsupported Video Configuration Detected" I have two monitors, both work fine as standalone but Windows will not detect either as a secondary. Please help me someone, I am so used to having my helpdesk email open in one monitor and all of my other work in the other monitor.

Dual Monitor Bug - Monitor 1 Crashes
My primary monitor (1) ÃÂ now causes system to be unuseable after it reaches the sleep mode.ÃÂ I just converted to Win 7 Premium from ÃÂ 32 bit VISTA, where everything worked ok.ÃÂ Windows stays alive if I duplicate the 2 screens because my second monitor still works. Both monitors are DEll E207WFP.ÃÂ The card is a NVIDEA 7300LE.ÃÂ Everything was ok until I upgraded 2 days ago. After reaching the sleep time, the monitor becomes DEAD.ÃÂ I setup the screen saver, but the monitor 1 would not awaken, even though it shows the pictures until I use the mouse to awaken the system. Mon 1 is DVI.ÃÂ Mon 2 is VGA connected. System might stay up if I tell monitors to NEVER sleep --- a waste of energy. I first noticed the problem when I went away while backing up the system and my primary monitor never could recover.ÃÂ The monitor sleeps forever so a power off / power on is mandated.

My Monitor Gets Reset To Generic PnP Monitor
I am running Windows 7 using a Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS video card. After every time the computer goes to sleep, it loses its display settings for my monitor (a ViewSonic G22fb CRT), and resets to the default Generic PnP monitor. To return to my display settings, I need to go to the control panel, adjust resolution, and click on the "detect" button. After that, the computer recognizes my Viewsonic G220fb again, and returns the display settings, including resolution to my adjusted settings.

Taskbar For Each Monitor With Multi Monitor
Is there a possibility to have a taskbar on each monitor, optionally containing only the programs which are on that monitor? I doubt this feature is available as I just found the following entry within the support: "Find the taskbar" which is stating "If you're using multiple monitors, the taskbar will only appear on one monitor." So my suggestion is adding the feature. Plus showing the alt-tab-window on all monitors.

Multiple Monitor Detection With Only 1 Monitor
i'm running Windows Seven Professionnal from my msdnaa account, and i have an annoying issue. every start i start my computer everything is ok, bug after windows seven welcome message, when windows launch a screen detection runtime (i think), it detect me multiple monitor randomly (sometime 1, sometime 2 or 3). I have only 1 monitor, a samsung syncmaster 2233Rz. The issue is more annoying that it look, sometimes windows make an extended desktop with the "virtual" monitor (mouse can go out of my screen), but sometimes windows display only on the virtual monitor, and turn off my real one. (i hear sound so i know windows is not crashed). If i unplug/replug my monitor, sometimes it relaunch detection and the display go back. But most part of the time i need to reboot, and hope this will work. I think first at a driver issue, i triyed different one and nothing was better. I triyed the RC before and it did the same issue. I was hoping where better in RTM :( maybe there is a way to turn off automatic display detection ? i try removing flag of TMM in registry, desactivate Nvidia interfaces services, but nothing change. My configuration : Phenom X4 955 Motherboard gigabyte MA770T Geforce GTX275

Monitor Not Detected
I'm running into this and issue and I can't peg down a cause. I recently updated my Vista HTPC to Windows 7. When booting up I can get into the OS, but the screen goes black shortly after. I have tried two monitors: the Panasonic plasma just goes black and when I try Samsung Syncmaster LCD it looks like it's searching for digital, then analog sources. I have an Nvidia 8400 GS card and I've tried both the 191.07 and 195.62 drivers. I've also let Windows install the drivers after uninstalling the Display Adapter in Device Manager in Safe Mode. When I start in Safe Mode I cannot recreate the issue. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers in Safe Mode.

Monitor Will Not Stay Off
I have two systems here running Windows 7. One system is older with a PS2 mouse. I think that is why my monitor will not stay off. I have gone into advanced power settings and turned off sleep, and made sure all my settings look right. I have also gone to device manager and un-checked the "allow this device wake computer" box for the mouse. The monitor still comes on when you touch the mouse. What else could be making the monitor come on? How do I make the mouse so it's less sensitive or disable it so you have to hit the keyboard to turn on the monitor?
