I'm trying to download a game from 1995. When i try to install it it says error CONFIG.EXE i tried googleing it and installing config.exe but it doesnt seem to work. I have a toshiba computer with windows 7. What can I do to install this game (rayman)?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWLAN AutoConfig service gives error 1067 when trying to start it. What I've tried:
Reset winsock settings
Ran SFC /scannow
Did system restore
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
I tried all of these in normal mode AND in safe mode. None of it worked. Then i thought the service dll (C:Windowssystem32wlansvc.dll) itself might have been damaged/outdated, so I decided to delete it and put a new one from donor pc. NOPE.It wouldn't give me access to the file. No matter what i tried, safe mode, unlocker tools, auto rename it on startup, doing everything in administrator or even messing with permissions under file properties. It just wouldn't give me access to the file.Wi-Fi was working smoothly few days ago and i literally have no idea why it stopped working.

When I try to start the service manual then the error 1068 appear: "Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." I have tried the three steps of onopko, but this is not working to my computer. On advice of StalkeR I have add the reg files of Black Viper site as Safe as well default. Every time I have restarted my computer after adding the reg files, but both files are resolving me problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I play a game for longer than 10 minutes, this happens. Affected games: trackamania nations, trackmania united, CoD4, MW2, BO, Oblivion, .. Most games. Stepmania doesn't seem to have the problem, so I think it may be OpenGL/DirectX related.This sound is also paired with severe FPS problems. After a few more minutes of play, I the BSOD; [URL]One odd thing is that when I launch a game (for example CoD4, which boots quickly, because other games need to boot steam first :s) right after startup, and leave it running for say 10 minutes, the problem will not exist for the entire session, until I reboot.Natively, I had Vista, after a month orso the problem started occuring. Then I clean installed Windows 7 Home Premium, the problem didn't exist at first. After a month, same problem. Then I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, which gave the same story.I'm confident that the problem is with an auto-update of something, I deliberately didn't instal any drivers manually.

- I got my system just over 2 years ago.
- My current OS is about half a year old I estimate. The problem recurred over all OS's.
first time posting here so im not sure what all the info i need to post is but i get a bsod randomly. from just watching Internet to playing games like dota 2. i dont really know what is causeing the issue. i did see from another post how to attach my minidump files so ill do that.

Here is some information about my computer:
AMD X2 4600+, nVidia GF 8800GT 512mb, RAM 2GB.
I already changed drivers to newest and downgraded to some older, but nothing changed, the same problem again. I used option that I founded on the net where I needed to use CMD and expand that .sys file to create new, but that not worked too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGetting distorted (cracking/popping) sound and poor FPS/screen tear after switching application from a full screen game via the taskbar and via alt tabbing.The only way to rectify the issue is by restarting the PC as reloading the game will semi fix the sound issue, but limits my FPS to 30 and will cause the sound to slowly deteriorate to how it was before.
It mainly happens when I have a full screen program while watching a Stream/Video on my second monitor and I switch program through the aero feature in the taskbar/alt tab pop up. Sound goes to shit, then the frame loss kicks in a second later.
I assumed it was an issue to do with the aero application preview feature, but I'm not 100% sure. I've disabled it by using the classic theme which I've been using for the past 2 days and things seem to be alright.

Because I had so many problems with my computer, I tried clean installing it, which helped for around a month. Now it is back to BSODS. The error code I mainly get is the 0x00000A.

i have window 7 test version installed however When i tried to install Act of war: Direct action, it didn't work and since i have herd how the game does not like more than 3 GB of rams i change the MSconfig settings and set a limit on the memory from the Advance options after i restarted my computer it crashed...and i am unable to undo the msconfig changes, because i am unable to access msconfig i have tried to boot into safemode and load msconfig, however it says i do not have the privileged to access msconfig...i have tried the automatic repair in window 7... and it didn't work anyother ways to undo it?i have a lot of accessments in the C: drive which i have not backed up?
