I have the problem that the service WLAN Auto-Config isn't started. When I try to start the service manual then the error 1068 appear: "Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." I have tried the three steps of onopko, but this is not working to my computer. On advice of StalkeR I have add the reg files of Black Viper site as Safe as well default. Every time I have restarted my computer after adding the reg files, but both files are resolving me problem.

WLAN AutoConfig service gives error 1067 when trying to start it. What I've tried:
Reset winsock settings
Ran SFC /scannow
Did system restore
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
I tried all of these in normal mode AND in safe mode. None of it worked. Then i thought the service dll (C:Windowssystem32wlansvc.dll) itself might have been damaged/outdated, so I decided to delete it and put a new one from donor pc. NOPE.It wouldn't give me access to the file. No matter what i tried, safe mode, unlocker tools, auto rename it on startup, doing everything in administrator or even messing with permissions under file properties. It just wouldn't give me access to the file.Wi-Fi was working smoothly few days ago and i literally have no idea why it stopped working.
Specs:
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Sony VAIO VGN-SZ340P
3945ABG Wi-Fi card

PC boots normally, though somehow slowly you can really hear the HD is working hard! Wireless is connected as it should, as one of the last tasks in the entire start up process. Good signal with 4-5 pins in the internet access icon down in the right corner of the lower menu bar, and no problems with connection to the internet. However, after 1 minute or so, I can hear the HD start working intensively again, and then it disconnects the internet access, shown by a red cross over the internet access icon. Just before that, the screen flashes a bit, and the color of the lower menu bar becomes slightly more pale, as if some booting is still going on. Going into the Services.msc, the WLAN Auto Config says that it is started, but opening it in General, it says Stop. When I click on Start, it reconnects and works fine again. If I do nothing, after yet another 2-3 minutes it tries to reconnect, and eventually after 5-8 minutes after reboot it is reconnected, and work fine again. I off course use Antivirus program (Microsoft Essentials) and have installed all the latest Windows 7 updates, including SP1.

On my HP dv6-2010eq laptop with Atheros WiFi chipset the WiFi connection drops at 'random' intervals after the laptop has been started. The only thing that solves this issue (albeit for short) is manually disabling and then re-enabling the WLAN device from Network Adapters. This manifested few months ago, alas I didn't recall what I might have changed back then.Sometimes it drops almost immediately after boot, sometimes it takes hours to do so... The lappy has 3 user accounts. Exactly the same behavior on all three of them. Now, the only thing I could see as a possible reason from the event logs is that right before the drop an event 'WLAN Autoconfig has successfully stopped.' occurs. Without any further explanation. So far, when I boot in Safe Mode with Networking this issue doesn't present itself for as many hours as the laptop runs.Tried disabling few programs (firewall, antivir, etc.) but still the same...

Windows Search in Windows 7 64bit has stopped working. I am unable to Start the Service. StartUp Type is set to Automatic.I am not sure but I suspect this started after a recent Windows Update. When I try to start the service, I get a message that says, "Windows could not start the Windows Search service on Local Computer." "Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."However, WindowsSearch.exe is indeed in C:WindowsSystem32 folder. When I ran SFC on WindowsSearch.exe and on srvsvc.dll, no problems were reported. In fact, running SFC on the entire system returned no problems or errors. In Windows Features, both Indexing Service and Windows Search are checked. In /Control Panel/Indexing Options, "Indexing is not running."When I run, "Troubleshoot search and indexing," I get the messages:"Incorrect permissions on Windows Search directories""Windows Search service not running"I could not find the Windows Search directories.

I ran across an issue when I booted my computer this morning. One of the tray icons was missing that usually shows and my cursor was spinning non-stop. Not to mention nothing else worked. It was frozen, so I pressed the power button and restarted it that way,Normal, not in safe mode.I'm sending 2 Snips to show you what I think was the reason for this. gupdate is set for Auto(Delayed) start in services. When I went in there and looked gupdate was no started at either time. The first time 9:35:58am was when this whole mess started. I just happened to go back an hour later to look in Event Viewer and it was listed again and still not started with the same explanation.Would this have caused this freeze or crash and is there anything that can be done to rectify this deal? I know some people disable gupdate and everything to do with it but I do not want to get into this.

I have a Dell XPS M1730 with Windows 7 Ultimate and it was doing an iTunes update and the lid got closed during the update process. Now when I start the computer up it says "the user profile service service failed the login, user profile cannot be loaded". The computer starts up in safe mode and won't let me do a system restore because it says it is shut off. When I look at User Profiles in Windows 7, it states that the users profile is as backup and the default profile is the local profile. How can I fix my computer to get my user profile back up and working?

Every time I rebooted my laptop windows runs through preparing to configure windows, then configuring the service pack, starting at 35% and finishing on 37% and then boots windows normally. This is very annoying to go through everytime I reboot. I ran the portable fix it program from microsoft to fix windows update problem but it I booted into safe mode to try uninstall the service pack to reinstall but now when it reboots it says preparing to configure windows, then failure to configure service pack, reverting changes. Now it does this every time.I've tried running windows updates to try to reinstall but it just seems to go on forever. I have also run the System update readiness tool from microsoft but it does the same as the windows updates, runs continuously

amd athlon x2 6000+Broadcom netxtreme 57xx gigabite controller (integrated)Fresh Install today.(no updates or sevice pack on yet)I have had this problem for about 4 months now,It started when i put my daughters xp laptop into the local connection(I use a 3 dongle to connect to Internet always have and never had any trouble, shared connection).I got xp working on my network no trouble, the trouble began when i switched off and went to bed.The next morning I replugged my xbox 360 into the local adapter and got the unidentified connection,to cut a long story short I have tried all fixes I could find on the Internet but nothing worked,so I manually assigned a ip address in the ip4 properties and everything i put on local adapter now works but it still says public unidentified network.
So today I formatted and re-installed windows 7 expecting this problem to be fixed but no,it is exactly the same,I am going bald way to quick as It Is,I have this error in event log every time i restart or disable/enable local connection .event id 1001Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x001EC93E0D7B. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server. Also this one :The Mobile IP Route Manager service failed to start due to the following error: This driver has been blocked from loading The DHCP allocator has disabled itself on IP address 169.254.149.243, since the IP address is outside the 192.168.137.0/255.255.255.0 scope from which addresses are being allocated to DHCP clients. To enable the DHCP allocator on this IP address, change the scope to include the IP address, or change the IP address to fall within the scope.

This is the error I got, and I couldn't connect to the internet. ""Local Area Connection" Doesn't have a valid ip config. It also stated that I had an unknown network, and I couldn't get an IP from the DHCP Server for some reason.I used the 'netsh int ip reset c: esetlog.txt' method in the command prompt, and after I restarted, it still didn't work, so then, I remembered about an old computer in the garage with an ethernet card in it! So, I put that old dusty card it, and plugged my cable into it instead of the default on my motherboard. After a min of it trying to find and install a driver, it failed, and I still couldn't connect. So, I decided to plug it back into the motherboard ethernet if the card wasn't going to work, and whala, it worked.

I got that message when I did the basic troubleshoot for my connection. The internet was working earlier this morning, and has been working for the past few months, but when I got back home today it just, seemingly randomly, stopped for no reason.Yes, I know there have been lots of people asking about this problem, and I've tried a few different things, but I just can't get the internet to work.I'm pretty sure it's not the router, a computer with WXP works just fine, as well as Xbox Live. Ipconfig in command prompt came up with 169.254.187.196 as Autoconfig IPv4, if that makes a difference. My only active network is an unidentified, public network.I've reset PC, modem, and router. Ping 127.0.0.1 was successful, so does that mean it isn't the NIC? The NIC is, I believe, a Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet. I didn't have the option to rollback drivers so I guess that won't work =/.

There have been already few threads open for this topic not only on this forum but on different ones around the world, however the problem is still not solved, thus I decided to open a new topic and solve this problem once and for all. Here is the problem: I cannot connect to my wired network, it is stuck for a while at 'identifying' and then it says: " "Local Area Connection 2" doesn't have a valid IP configuration Not fixed "I have tried restarting the laptop, turning off/on the router and modem, manually assigning ip address, disabling/enabling network adapter, disabling/enabling TCP/IPv6,
1.Right Clicked Local Area Connection
2.Clicked Configure
3.Advanced Tab
4.Highlighted Network Address and changed value by entering random 12 alphanumeric characters (i used 02EF22FD2310 from the top of my mind)
5. Click OK

since I didn't have any kind of network in my house (I only have one computer) it would be okay to disable my Wireless Network Connection -- 802.11n Wireless LAN Card. I did this and now I notice in my Event Viewer under Custom View > Administrative Events there is an error saying: WLAN Autoconfig Service has successfully stopped. I am curious if this service is connected with my now 'disabled' 802.11n Wireless Lan Card? If so, would there be any problem with 'stopping' it in Services since the Wireless Lan Card is already disabled too?

The Auto repair was useless, and to make matters worst, I started getting the evil blue screen. After a week of headaches, I decided it wasn't worth it. So, I used safe mode to save all our pictures and my books on a flashdrive(nothing else, just so it whatever was hurting the comp wouldn't come back on). Then I decided to recover the comp so I could rid it of whatever was causing the awful blue screen. It fixed it, until recently. Now understand, I didn't put anything back on the comp(not even the stuff I saved to my flashdrive) since it irritated me so much before, so I know I didn't do anything to cause this. See, now the comp won't start up at all without the Auto Repair coming on. Even when I get the option to start up windows normally and bypass the auto repair, I still end up back on the auto repair. I'm totally lost on what to do.

I have a program running that automatically syncs some of my data online. It is running on a computer with Windows 7 Pro as well as a Windows Server 2003 that I use as for file storage. Unfortunately it does not startup until I log into a profile, but since I don't really use these computers, sometimes this doesn't happen for days on end. I decided to create it as a service (used the sc.exe utility - sc create DataBackup binPath= "C:Program FilesData Deposit Boxackup.exe" DisplayName= "Kineticd Backup" start=auto). The service was created successfully, but when I try to start the service, I get the following error.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

I finally got a new laptop after almost a year of struggling with my old one. I've had experience with using homegroup in the past and was thinking maybe I could access some of my files on my old laptop through that so I don't have to go through the trouble of manually transferring everything via flash drive and what not. I seem to be running into a problem though, my old laptop seems to be in its own homegroup I guess. Whenever I try to leave it, it says "windows cannot remove the computer from the homegroup".
I researched the problem, and used the troubleshooter which said that the homegroup provider service wasn't started and it couldn't be fixed automatically. I tried restarting starting the service but got that error 1608 thing. To bypass this I've tried joining whichever group my old laptop is in, but it can't seem to be found even though the two are both on the same wifi/network. If it matters, the new laptop is windows 8 and the one I'm having trouble with is windows 7.

On July 12th 2012, my computer installed updates. After rebooting and waiting for me on the login screen, I gave it a hard shutdown to check on the BIOS settings (for a little side project, in the end I did not save any changes). After booting and logging in again, I find that many services are not running. I ran a very thorough check for malware and viruses (took over 24 hours to complete), and still no solutions. I have uninstalled/reinstalled my Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Driver several times.
I now look in the Event Viewer and find that the DHCP Client service is not running! It is set to automatic start in Services.msc, but when I try to manually start it, it gives me error 1075 (some dependencies do not exist or are marked for deletion). Running ipconfig, I notice that my system is using an APIPA-formatted address (169.254.x.x), indicating that the computer couldn't find a DHCP server.
My Event Viewer is peppered with:
Event 7003, Service Control Manager
The DHCP Client service depends the following service: Afd. This service might not be installed.
Event 7001, Service Control Manager
The WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service service depends on the DHCP CLient service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependcy service does not exist or has been marekd for deletion.
And that keeps repeating many times in a minute (about 30-40 cycles of it).
