Oct 24, 2009I have had Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit RTM installed for a couple of months now, but there is one issue that I have not been able to solve for this whole time.
When I first went to install Windows 7, I had to remove a 2GB stick of RAM in order for the installer to even start without blue screen-ing on me.
So I took the RAM out and managed to get 7 installed (yay!). However, when I tried to reinsert the RAM, I got the same BSOD that I would when trying to install 7 with the other 2GB in. I gave up after a couple of tries, and it has taken me this long to try to solve the issue.
I am pretty sure that my specs are 7 Ultimate x64 compatible? Because if not, that is most probably the source of the error.
Otherwise, could anyone lend a hand? It really hurts having 2GB of RAM lying around in a drawer being useless.

Adding Patches/softwares To Windows 7 X64 ISO?
Jul 11, 2012I have got an Windows 7 x64 PL with SP1 ISO.
What should I do to "add" the patches (those KBXXXXXXX files) from Windows Update to ISO. Is there a way to "put" .NET Framework 4.0?
I guess that "add" is very relative term as I suppose, that the new .iso file can be created at the end of the process leaving the old .iso as it was.
What I mean I've seen terms like Windows Automated Installation Kit, imagex, sysprep, OOBE, but I can hardly figure how they works.
Now there is a huge problem. I had really difficulties with understanding stuff during reading numerous articles which were telling how to make similar things (or just my guessing told so). Here are some wild guesses:
1. Editing the original .iso file with some software, thus creating the new iso.
2. Making fresh installation of Windows 7 (whether by Virtual Machine or on real hardware). Enabling audit mode, but then I don't quite get it about Out of Box Experience (OOBE), set up the things I want to and by imagex(???) create the .iso of it?
3. Creating Win PE which will be (????) a background for "typical" Windows Installation?
Does this problem have something common with unattended installation?

Windows 7 Will Not Download Latest Itunes 10.6 Program
Mar 13, 2012Last night, whilst plugging my iphone 4 s into my windows 7 based PC with 64 bit to back up my phone things went horribly wrong.The system told me in itunes that i need to down load the latest upgrade for itunes.I tried this and with my phone plugged in through a USB port to charge it went haywire.At the same time, as i was down loading the latest itunes 10.6 update, up pops the words "A network error occured while attempting to read from the file: C:windows installeritunes 64 msi". So i went back to the download page and clicked on the other download link and this time this message came up;This itunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions of windows. Please download and instal the 64-bit itunes installer instead.I could not find that installer so used other recommended installers, to no avail.I tried re-installing the 64 bit version at least 6+ times from other sites, but the same error message keeps coming up as the 1st one i wrote above.My iphone 4s is stuck on a picture showing a USB cable going to an itunes symbol. It will do nothing. It won't turn on/off and now my computer won't even recognize it when plugged in! Where did the driver go all of a sudden?I reset my PC to a couple of days ago, then tried loading the program again, made no difference. I have updated drivers, iphone on the list, but not showing any problems.I need to go get another phone now as i run several small businesses and need client contact all the time, but will answer this forum as soon as i can.

Sep 12, 2012After turning on my computer today, I noticed that the "shut down" icon in start menu had the familiar triangle referring to updates. I closed things down and selected it to "Shutdown and install updates". I keep my Windows as up to date as i can, so this was a recent update.
The problem is that upon starting the computer, I could get to the log in screen with both the Administrator and user accounts visible, but when attempting to select either one to log in, the screen flickers black once for a half-second, then kicks me back to the user select screen. How can i undo this last update without logging in? I tried inserting the windows disk to use the system restore feature, but it claims that "No restore points have been created on your computer's system drive" yet as far as I've seen, each update has been initiated with a "creating system restore point" loading bar, so how can this be? I've attempted logging in in safe mode as well. The same black screen, it just took longer before I got kicked back.
Or additional information I can provide?
Edit - If possible, does anyone know of a program or command that can bypass the log in screen and immediately log in? Maybe if I could do that and get into the system itself, I could undo the upgrade on my user account.

I have since read online that other people were having problems including BSoD etc?! I have since using system restore, gotten it back to normal although I have had to ignore the updates again so as not to end up at square one?!
