View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to ask this straightforward question: does Windows 7 Ultimate Edition support both 32 and 64 bits? I have a legal copy of it and installed it on my Vista Business PC, but it seems to be running at 32 bits only. Is it because of this Vista only supporting 32 bits? How do you tell the bits your OS is running at?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit RTM installed for a couple of months now, but there is one issue that I have not been able to solve for this whole time.
When I first went to install Windows 7, I had to remove a 2GB stick of RAM in order for the installer to even start without blue screen-ing on me.
So I took the RAM out and managed to get 7 installed (yay!). However, when I tried to reinsert the RAM, I got the same BSOD that I would when trying to install 7 with the other 2GB in. I gave up after a couple of tries, and it has taken me this long to try to solve the issue.
I am pretty sure that my specs are 7 Ultimate x64 compatible? Because if not, that is most probably the source of the error.
Otherwise, could anyone lend a hand? It really hurts having 2GB of RAM lying around in a drawer being useless.
My Friend have windows phone and he want Talking Tom application for his windows mobile.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowing a Windows 7 update my laptop would no longer recognize my projector, which it had been doing for some years and immediately prior to the update. I also find that my laptop now no longer recognizes my monitor, which again it had been doing for some years. Different cables are used so it is not a cable problem. I have been through all the obvious things and have looked for updates to the graphic driver, but no better updates available. When I plug either of these items in to my laptop the screen resolution on my laptop changes as if it is recognizing the additional hardware, but in neither case is anything displayed on the remote device.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Vostro 1500, running 32-bit Windows 7. It came with Vista, but I upgraded to Windows 7 a couple months ago, which I think is causing the issues I'm experiencing. According to whoever I'm speaking with, the sound for the microphone built in to my webcam fades in and out and gets really loud randomly. In an attempt to solve this, I bought an external microphone which also does not work. The sound driver is the SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC, version 6.10.0.5614. When I tried to update it through Windows 7's update driver software it says I have the best version for my system, but I still suspect that this could be what is causing the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to be getting a BSOD every once in a while. I don't understand why it happens. It seems to happen occasionally while I am doing various things on the computer. I might be watching a video, or maybe just talking on Skype.I attached the files asked for, and included a picture of the BSOD..Edit: This computer was recently reformatted (a couple weeks ago). It appears to have been the cause, since before the reformat I never experienced this. Also, it's Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe issue came when I was talking on skype, the connection was lost and the whole pc became very slow and unresponsive, I thought that the problem was on skype so I uninstalled it, but the issue appeared again when I opened 3D games. I made everything possible to solve the issue but nothing happened. I also checked that my rams were installed correctly, the pc says that I have 4GB of rams and the available physical memory is 2GB of rams.

I heard from some people they had the same problem under Windows Vista and solved it by switching to newer drivers, but alas, it seems I have the newest beta driver for Windows 7.
Is there any other way towards activating the boost or do I just have to wait until Creative releases a Windows 7 beta driver with microphone boost included?I also checked if the problem comes from my headset, but it's working fine under Windows XP with microphone boost enabled.
