I have windows 7HP. None of the cd or dvd burns are successful. I use wmp or winamp usually but even Nero won't burn from storage. Message reads burner not connected or disc requires cleaning.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI,ve build a new puter using old burners and H/D's. Installed Win 7 x64 SP 1 and same programmes that where running on old puter. Problem is both burners wont reconise blank media - CD's or DVD's. Media worked on old puter with these burners. 1 x burner is Pioneer connected with IDE cable other one is Asus connected by SATA. Same problem on both burners using Nero and WMP 11. I've also been into the reg. and removed upper and lower filters...But still no go .

1. Read DVD-Rs from an external DVD drive?
2. Burn DVD-Rs using an external DVD burner drive?
First my two DVD burners and blu ray burner were gone in Windows, then most of my hard drive partitions disappeared..BIOS shows the burners OK.Partition Manager shows only C, D and E, and the rest as Unallocated (540Gb).Burners do show up in device manager but with exclamation marks "no driver".

Some of my keys don't work very well at all, and some work only sporadically. The keys I'm talking about aren't any of the input keys for typing or anything, but rather the keys to adjust volume, brightness, screen width, etc. I'm not sure why the keys stopped working, but if someone could help with that would be awesome.I am also having trouble with my fingerprint scanner stopping working. View 9 Replies View RelatedComputer Crashes TV? for the last year and few months my Sanyo 26in lcd 720p has worked wonderful with my computer, connect thru pc port on tv hdmi computer connection with this tv is down right ugly.issue Out of the blue the screen would lock up and then go blank it would come back, eventualy it goes blank and stays that way have to power it down and leave it off for at min an hour now if i am running this same tv with my dvr it never freezes or goes blank if i am running my older 19in lcd monitor /w computer i have no issues.

This includes buying two new wireless adapters (which totals the amount to 3) and a week ago, a new motherboard to see if that could sort the problem out.
None of the 3 adapters have been working properly at any point before buying the new motherboard. After that, I actually got the latest addition to function for a couple of days now - that is until I updated to Service Pack 1.nothing works.I tried uninstalling the service pack again... which did the trick.So I can't update my windows if I want a functional computer.Ive found numerous people (around these boards as well) having problems with x64 and wifi but no solutions...

Ive tried all latest drivers from manufacturer, even tried latest drivers from chipset manufacturers.
since a few days the hibernate option is not working on my computer. I tried the Microsoft fix it programs for disabling and enabling hibernation, but it didn't help.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I've been trying to solve this since it randomly started happening yesterday, but to no avail. I have a Samsung Q430 Intel i5 with Windows 7 x64 Home Premium (SP1), and the computer randomly started to lag, so I restarted it. It logged in successfully the first few times, but became extremely laggy after login, until it froze up completely each time. I then tried the recovery CD, and it worked the first time, but nothing changed, and it was still laggy. However, the computer could not even get past the black loading screen anymore, and began on a continuous reboot cycle, each time ending with a flash of a BSOD that I couldn't catch. It restarts to two options: Launch startup repair or Start windows normally, both of which end up freezing and restarting.I have tried:-Safe Mode (worked first time, but was laggy, and now it just freezes during loading)-Last Known good configuration (nothing happened)-Recovery CD (becomes stuck while trying to find the OS, says "Drive E: 0 bytes, windows 7 and never finishes loading)-Installation CD (stuck at entering setup screen)The only thing that really works is the Ubuntu Live CD.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just noticed an odd occurrence when i right click on Computer either on my desktop or the start menu & click Manage, it does nothing, just a timer circle for a sec and thats it. can run the Computer Management shortcut fine. I have had win 7 installed for a little while now and i know it was working fine up until yesterday.
I have seen others with the same or similar problem with running the manager from the computer context menus but the only answer iv seen is to do a repare install. There must be something better as how do i know it wont just happen again ? would any1 know what might have caused this? & if im really lucky how to fix it.
I'll try to explain as best I can. I have a custom built pc, running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, Intel LGA 775 motherboard, Intel Xeon 2.4 Quad processor, 550 watt power supply and nvidia GeForce 9800 GT graphics card. I do audio recording, and use an external audio interface (novation x-station 49). My computer has ran flawlessly for the past year or so, now my 2 (22" Samsung) monitors go black after a few minutes. It started out once or twice a day, now it only takes about 5 minutes.
My first thought was the video card (because both monitors go black) which I'm still in the 5 year warrantee period, so I can get it replaced. Everything is normal, then I get a second of messed up screens, then it goes black. When the screens are messed up, they look like the one referring to bad video card ram in this link... I have done a full system scan with my anti virus and it has found nothing.
Over the last few days, my computer has been freezing. Before it freezes I repeatedly get a black screen flashing up and then a message that my graphics driver wasn't working but is has been repaired. It does this about 5 times, before completely freezing (ctrl + alt + del doesn't do anything). I have forced it to shut down and started it up, and it works for about 1 minute. At the time I was using microsoft one note (which I haven't had any problems with before), and google chrome, which I have only recently installed. I tried uninstalling chrome and using IE but it did the same after about only a minute of being switched on.My laptop is about 4 years old, but I've only had problems over the last few days. I'm currenly using safe mode, and I'm not having any crashing/freezing.
