Computer Not Working After Installing New Hardware?

i just installed a new cpu, motherboard, and 8gb ram and the computer wouldn't boot up. So i hooked up the original parts and tried to install the drivers for the new motheboard.I turned off the computer and put the new parts in. Nothing worked so I plugged the original parts in and i got a black screen with a blinking white line in the top left corner. I also ran a diagnostic and it gave me an error code on the hdd that said BIOHD 3.

I recently installed SP1 on my Windows 7 x64 system and I am now having trouble with some USB devices, specifically an external USB drive.The drive is a 500 GB Seagate connected via USB. My system is an i7 920 on an ASUS motherboard w/ 24 GB RAM.I have a backup program that runs every night and backs up to the USB hard drive. I've been using this setup for a couple years on Vista then Win 7 and it was working fine.
After installing SP1, though, some of my other USB devices quit working every time the backup starts.For example, when the backup kicks in, my keyboard might stop working. Or my mouse. Or some other USB device. So I have to unplug the affected device then plug it in again - after that it works fine again. Well, until the next time the backup runs...It doesn't happen every time the backup runs (maybe 80% of the time) and it's not always the same device(s) that quit working. As I said, sometimes it's the keyboard, sometimes the mouse, sometimes both, etc. The same problem also occurs sometimes when I plug in my iPod.
As I mentioned, I never had this problem until I installed SP1 so it has something to do with that update.

I previously had Ubuntu installed, but just installed windows 7 professional with service pack1, 32-bit X86 Full.
It seems that I can't connect to the internet though. Not via the wire(LAN) or wireless. When opening up device manager the following is located under OTHER DEVICES:
Ethernet controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
Network controller
O2Micro SmartCardBus_Reader
They all have the same error when double clicking: " The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"
I have tried to Search automatically for updated driver software but nothing so far.

I am trying to find a collection for all drivers needed to run my Vaio-FZ21M (original Vista-32 bit) under Windows 7 64 bit. I installed Win 7 64 bit and it works, but I have a problem with the Internet connection (connected but no information in the browser), so I cannot use at this momet Sony upgrade functions.

since i have clean installed windows 7 on my laptop my dvd drive is not working properly. it starts reading the disk and stop and keep doing it several times and finally i removes the dvd. i have even cleaned the lens with lens cleaner but still it do read erroe many times.
i am using 7 ultimate 32 bit.

So first I get this message when I mouse over the speaker icon(notice the red "x" on the icon).When I click the icon, Windows does a diagnostic and then this shows up.This is whats listed in my playback devices and this is with "Show disabled devices" enabled. Everything is enabled,Here is a picture of what my device manager looks like.
I've tried installing drivers for my sound card and my chipset, I tried restarting my computer, updated from my device manager, uninstalled drivers, reinstalled, etc. I've been searching online for a bit and nothing I found worked so I figured I'd give this a shot. I tried uninstalling the service pack update but that didn't work.

i have a problem with my usb and ps2 ports they stopped working after i installed a pcie nvdia 8600gt card but my 2 front usbs work fine the 4 at back dont also nor do my ps2 ports
the funny thing is when i remove the the nvidia graphics card my ports start to work again i have tryed a fresh install still nothing according to device manager my usb ports are working but when i plug something in theres nothing even when i have my ps2 mouse n keyboard plugged in at boot up there isint even a hint of power there is no exclamation marks in device manger either
my motherboard is a ECS Geforce7050m-m vers2.0 2 gigs of ram a dualcore amd+2 7850 black edition processor 500 gig harddrive
my only option would to be take out my nvidia card and use the onboard graphics card using just the onboard card which is ok but not good for games i play games all the time what does everyone think.

First i want to apologize for my bad english since i'm italian So.. I just installed windows7 ultimate and suddenly the right audio channel is not working.
1) I want to make clear i've tried different cables and headphones/speakers (i'm a producer so i've got plenty..) and i can't hear the right channel at all.
2) I tried to download latest version of Realtek
3) On audio configuration when i press the configure button when i tried the right audio channel i could hear it very low (like the left channel is at least 10 times higher). that is the only situation in wich i can hear something coming out from my right speaker (and is like a 90w monitor.. so i think i'll hear it otherwise)
4) Since i just installed everything i tried to format and re-install, but i got no results
5) I tried the bit/hz thing but with ANY configuration i don't get any result
6) And now a very odd thing: since i got an external audio interface i tried even with that. right channel still not working.

I've come across an interesting problem recently which I have tried to solve to no avail. I installed Windows 8 Developer Preview on a separate hard drive to my base Windows 7 install, and had an issue that arose where the OS suddenly decided that the drivers the keyboard was using were invalid. This is not the (current) problem, however it is important to mention. Now, to fix the Win 8 driver problem I went to the device manager, uninstalled the drivers, and then unplugged/plugged the keyboard back in. Since that rather bodged fix, the keyboard suddenly stopped working in Windows 7. It shows up in device manager as working, and I can set macros in the associated Razer software, although it does not perform its most basic function of typing. I have tried a similar tactic to that which I employed while fixing the problem with Windows 8, although my attempts have been fruitless. The keyboard in question is a Razer Lycosa, and the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.

I had a virus and so had to re-install windows 7 home premium in my laptop. Now, internet is not working. I went to device manager. There, I see a node called 'Other devices' under which 3 items appear.his is what I see.Other devices.Network controller.PCI simple communications controller.Unknown device.In their properties, therer is a similar message - Drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)I have Dell drivers DVD that I purchased along with the laptop. But, I don't know which drivers to install.

I have Compaq Presario C784TU laptop with windows 7 updated on it. Recently while watching a movie, the audio suddenly started giving problems. I updated my audio driver in the device manager and it installed Conexant High Definition Audio Driver 221. After installing that, my audio completely stopped working. Also,that my headphones are working but only the speakers have stopped working. I have checked all the settings and also I don't think there is any problem with the hardware.

So my disk drive wasn't working so my husband installed a new driver, it fixed my disk drive, but now my mic (built in) stopped working. I really need it to work bc my husband has PCS-ed to Japan for 18 months, and skype is kind of out only option to talk.

I bought a SSD, installed it, installed Windows 7 Ultimate. Got into windows and everything was fantastic. Installed all the windows updates, video card drivers, ect... Then rebooted the computer and lo and behold, it doesn't recognize the SSD as a valid boot device anymore. Assuming that the install corrupted somehow, I decided to run startup repair on the Windows 7 disk. However once the disk gets past "Windows is loading files" all the lights on my mouse and keyboard shut off and they stop working. However up until that point they work fine, if I go into BIOS they work no problem. I have no idea what the issue is... I literally JUST used this same disk to install windows 7 and had no issues less than 30 minutes ago... The only advice I've been able to find thus far has been to ensure that legacy USB settings are enabled, and they are. Also, if I boot into windows on a different drive that has the OS installed my mouse and keyboard work just fine in windows as well. As it stands now I cannot fix my windows install or even reinstall windows...However up until that point they work fine, if I go into BIOS they work no problem. I have no idea what the issue is..

I just recently built a new computer myself, and am trying to put Windows 7 on it. I downloaded Windows 7 Pro with the student discount from the MS website as an ISO file. I keep being told to burn the ISO file to a DVD +R and install it that way, but for some reason when I downloaded it from the MS website it downloaded as a ZIP file and now I don't know what to do. The ZIP file is an ISO, so should I burn it to a DVD +R anyway or do I need to do something else?
Edit: Basically I just need to now if I can just burn the Zip file to the DVD because it is also an ISO file.

I manage a computer lab at a school. We are currently using Windows XP, and we want to migrate to Windows 7. Students use their unique network ID's to log in. This means that every time a student comes in to the computer, he or she is a new user, as far as the computer is concerned. I need to set these machines so they don't ask all the first time user questions every time a student logs in. In XP, this was relatively easy. I created a default profile, and everyone logging in saw exactly the same thing. With Windows 7, this is not so easy. I can still create a default profile, but settings specific to many applications do not get copied. So when a user opens Internet Explorer, he has to answer the set up questions, or he sees the "Welcome to..." screens that many programs like to show first-time users. I need to eliminate all of this. So, how do I set up the environment so that when a user logs in for the first time, everything is already configured, and the software doesn't make him jump through a bunch of hoops?

I have bought a new computer without an Operating System. I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and the intention was to install the OS myself. I uncoupled the old creaky PC and connected up (correctly) the new PC. I pressed the start button and opened the DVD drive and placed in the Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installation disc, there was a lot of noise as the HDD started to operate and I thought that the DVD disc was working too. All the time there was nothing on the Monitor. I checked the connections and all was properly connected. I realised that I didn't know why the PC wasn't installing the OS. The PC is an Ankermann Wildcat Gamer, Intel i7, 1 TB HDD, 4x3,40GHZ, NVIDIA GeForce GTX660 2048MB.
