After running Malwarebytes and uncovering a couple of infected items, I quarantined and removed as usual. On the reboot, my system keeps freezing and the admin history says I am encountering a DCOM 1084 error.
My laptop is a toshiba l300d, running windows 7 x64 with 4GB ram (glad that's out of the way)I've been having trouble running Traktor 2 on my laptop. It's a fairly resource demanding programme, so I've decided to try and run it with the laptop in safe mode, so I can start it up quickly without having to shut down endless reams of processes + services etc.I've managed to get the sound drivers working, and I assume the USB driver as well, as it recognises the S2 controller I use.The only problem I have is that I need to be able to run the hardware support service to actually use the controller.Naturally, whenever I try to start this service I get Error 1084 "can't run this service in safe mode".Is there anything I can do to get round this and be able to run the service?
My comp is having some audio problems. Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. It says i have no audio playback device installed? One or more audio service isn't running? Both the windows audio and the windows audio end point builder services must be running for audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't running? It says I dont have a playback device installed?
No devices displayed when I open playback devices.? How do I get a device or install a driver to fix the problem. In services both windows audio and windows audio endpoint aren't started. When I turn on windows audio i get error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start. When I turn on windows audio endpoint builder I get error 1084: this service cannot be started in safe mode sound doesn't work no audio at all. I don't have a restore point. I can only boot up in safe mode with networking.
I found this error logged in event viewer and would like to know its consequences, seriousness and solution.Win Seven 64 bit laptop with original OEM applied with SP1. [code]
I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to correct a persistent Event ID 10016 error that keeps showing up in Event Viewer.
I've actually found a couple of guides on how to fix this...change the launch permissions for the app that's causing the problem (IPbusEnum) but when I try to change the launch permissions using dcomcnfg none of the options on the properties/securities tab are available (grayed out).
My user has administrator permissions, I've tried launching dcomcnfg.exe by right click/click on "run as administrator" but no go.
Here's the text of the error message:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{C97FCC79-E628-407D-AE68-A06AD6D8B4D1}
and APPID
{344ED43D-D086-4961-86A6-1106F4ACAD9B}
to the user NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
The CLSID and APPID resolve to a service run under svchost (IPBusEnum). Would appreciate any pointers/hints on how to resolve this error.
I tried to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on a flash drive to be able to run it on another computer but I get an error message. It appears that the data file containing the list of possible infections was installed on my C: drive. Is it possible to run this program on another computer from a flash drive? The error I receive is 'Run time error 13...Type mismatch'.
You really shouldn't run Malwarebytes in Safe Mode unless it just will not run. It is designed to be run from Normal mode. If you have an infection you cannot remove please follow the advice below. If you think you are infected, here are the steps needed to get your computer cleaned.
I did a scan with malwarebytes free and it found pup bundles, so as requested by the the program I rebooted to remove, but after rescaning with malwarebytes it is still there. I use Super-antispyware pro but didn't reveal this pup bundles. I am also using avast free witch includes anti-spyware. I don't understand why malwarebytes is the only program to find this. I am running windows 7 64 bit.
My windows 7 has DCOM Service Disabled - Windows wont start in any mode!Ive tried Safemode, safemode command prompt etc and I just get a black screenI can access CMD.exe using repair mode from the installation disk but not sure how to change services control manager settings from the command line. The systemroot is on D:Iv thought of some routes like, changing the registry or perhaps a batch file running on start up but not sure of how or where to place and enter into startup at the right time.
I am not infected with this Malware yet because Malwarebytes keeps quarantining it... but it's showing up several times a day and it has me worried that I have some sort of rootkit or something that keeps trying to install it. The only site I've been on for the past few days is Facebook. So, unless Facebook is sending me this virus, it's not a site that I'm visiting a lot.
I have win 7 and try to get the windows 8 to test the Oracle VM VirtualBox.I can not make it. Something goes wrong and I get (see below).VirtualBox Warning: The virtual machine execution may run into an error condition as described below. We suggest that you take an appropriate action to avert the error. Some audio devices (PCMJn) could not be opened.The virtual machine window is optimized to work in 32 bit color mode but the virtual display is currently set to 24 bit.
Iam using windows 7, Core I5! X64 based notebook pc! Today i downloaded IE9, when i run the setup, i get a error ' cryptographic service not running, please check events log.' But cryptographic is running.
I have bought mw2 from dick smith and installed it on my computer however whenever I try to go onto the single player or multiplayer it comes up with the error "Fatal Error steam must be running" and then exits to the desktop.
I have an unspecified error 766f6c756d652e63 3f1 (yes there is a gap before the 3f1). I have tried but the above error occurs. HDD is C: drive NTFS system. Reason I'm worried is that sfc /scanow returned nothing, but windows backup returned quite a few lines similar to the following....
- Windows Backup skipped C:UsersxxxxxDocuments because is it on corrupted drive C:. - Windows Backup skipped c:UsersPublicvideos because is it on corrupted drive C:. - Windows Backup skipped c:UsersxxxxxAppDataLocalLow because is it on corrupted drive C:.
I've been getting a series of BSODs on my laptop recently. It appears they only occur while uTorrent is running - which is rather puzzling seeing how I've used it for months without issues and I have made no changes to it recently (it also takes some time after the start of the program for Windows to crash, so I'm not entirely sure uTorrent is really the culprit.)Incidentally I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on my 1.5 years old laptop. Windows came preinstalled and has been reinstalled by the Sony support less than 5 months ago (together with a new HD and motherboard)[CODE]
Even though I do not meet the minimum requirements of the game, my friend is running it under an weaker spec under lower performance options and it is running smoothly.
I am having problems getting firewall to stay running, when try to start get 1079 code, need this to run in order to install wireless program for HP printer. Tried many options including running malware and virus programs. Maybe need to reinstall drivers for this? Will that be a complete reinstall or can it be only the drivers for the firewall,,,is it a driver issue at all?
I own a Dell XPS M1710 running Windows7 (5 years old). The graphics card has already been replaced once (after 1 year) due to a well know heating problem (made tolerable by cooling pad). I get Blue screen and Memory Parity Error some of the times I start up but mostly it freezes at the black screen point. Memory check gives all clear and I have tried swapping out all of the RAM with (working) modules but still get the same error message. Tried updating the graphics driver, no change. Tried disabling the Graphics device in Device manager and this had a slightly different blue screen but the same basic result.I suspect the graphics card Nvidia Go 7950 GTX because the fault first happened while playing an MP4 file.
2 days ago I uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials from my pc. Yesterday I update my Firefox from v. 14.0.1 to v.15.0, since then firefox won't run on this pc. I tried downgrading it to version 14 but it wont work. Here's the error msg: Code: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.
Problem signature: Problem Event Name:AppHangB1 Application Name:firefox.exe Application Version:15.0.0.4619
I have a computer that's 3-4 years old now and in the last couple of weeks has been giving me a popup alert saying 'This computer is not running genuine Windows' with and error # 0x8004fe21.I have called Microsoft telephone activations and was asked to run 'slui.exe 3' from the command prompt and re-enter the Windows product key (from the computer case), which I did and it successfully activated. I restarted and everything initially seemed fine, but now the message has returned.The MGADiag report (below) shows a number of 'File Mismatch' errors - but I'm not sure what to do about it.

My Gateway laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) recently crashed, and when I rebooted it, it displayed this: Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next." 3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. Status: 0xc000000f Info: The boot selection failed because a required devices is inaccessible.
The thing is, I don't have a Windows installation disc! I was just browsing the internet when my laptop crashed, and now I can't do anything; repair your computer, safe mode, boot from last known good setting, etc. all result in the same error screen.
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have done a system backup of my portable and restored it to a larger hard disk. Everything is working OK except for Windows Update. When I try to run Windows Update I get a task isn't running message - Unknown Error 8024A000. I have replaced the old hard disk and Windows Update works just fine.
Upgraded from win xp to win pro 7 32 bit. I have two hitachi drives that I mirror using casper xp. Saved my old config with xp on drive H. Now, in windows 7, I can see drive H, but get error not accessible.
