I've built my new computer a week ago and I'm having a problem and I need to know ASAP if any part is defective to do a RMA. When I play games, (League of Legends, Cod4,..), my computer randomly crashes on a black screen and a looping bug sound. The monitor says ''Monitor going to sleep''. I've tried to run OCCT on my GPU for about 30 minutes @ 90 degrees C withouth problem. I've done one or two pass in Memtest+ to check my RAM too. Maybe it is my PSU? I've heard about the NVidia HD audio too. today a little problem cropped up as i tried to watch a Internet video. as soon as i go to open it i got a sound loop crash (sounded like buzzing) and when i went to login it would crash on the windows 7 'jingle' at the login screen. this started happening the restart after i did a windows update, specifically kb982018, kb2532531, kb2529073, kb2675157 and kb2505438. i also used a tcp optimizer and ran this batch file to further optimize my internet connection beforehand:

I got this problem with my new computer which is when i play games recently the screen turns black (sometimes dark blue and with stripes looking graphics all over the screen). This have been happening sometimes in a week or 2 and sometimes it doesn't turn black but just get like a freeze for a few seconds and then go back to normal.it's starting to scare me since my last computer which was a laptop had the same problem, but there was no saving it.This computer is just a few months old, it has good RAM, CPU and graphics card.
My computer has a problem with crashing while playing a video in full screen. When it crashes the screen turns black while the speakers give out a buzzing noise. Everything is unresposive the only solution is to turn it off with the power button. It happens in any full screen video online or offline and even visualizations from windows media player and iTunes, but only in full screen. I don't think it's overheating either because sometimes it takes 30 mins to crash and other times it will crash immediately when put in full screen. *I've tried setting it back to factory settings thus reinstalling windows. *All the directx features are working with no reported problem there.* I don't think it's a memory issue in the computer, as my specs are:

The laptop keeps crashing randomly throughout the day while doing some editing in CorelDraw. Also, I changed the dump settings earlier from the default kernal dump to the 256kb settings. After doing that rather than the black screen crash the computer went haywire with a bunch of lines across the screen. I just started working at this small sports shop and this is their laptop, not mine.

whenever I game, eventually and randomly, my game will freeze and loop the last sound. I'm not even kidding, it loops the last like half second of a sound which is extremely annoying no matter what it is because it just sounds like a loud thud going on forever. I have to reboot every single time this happens and I think it's hurting my laptop.So many said my laptop may be overheating, so I got a program called SpeedFan, and tweaked it so the temperature offset would be negative which would make my laptop cooler. According to it, it did go cooler with the setttings before/after using the program.The left side still emits heat, but not that hot with the program?
So I was watching the temperatures, before using the program, the temperature was always around 150-170 degrees farenheit, afterwards, it said it was at like -something which the air seemed be cooler or at least the offset measure.I'm not sure if my laptop is overheating, but when I took out the piece on the bottom pinned by 3 screws, there wasn't much dust inside.This all started when I had updated my Nvidia Drivers, I really regret doing this. So stupid game GTA IV can't detect system specs, so you had to use special commands for it to realize what specs you have. If I could, I'd sue them for screwing up my laptop. Everyone told me to update my drivers.Previously, I could play games like Deus Ex Human Revolution fine,I played the entire game twice with not a single freeze and looping sound/crash. Fine.after I installed any of the new nvidia drivers from their website?Occasional freezes and looping the last sound played.It seems that when I had bought this prebuilt Dell Laptop, it had epic drivers for itself and I was never suppose to update the perfect drivers.Then, everything was messed up once I updated my nvidia driver....Maybe, incompatible with the version of my realtek hd audio, that's why i installed all the old drivers from the driver disk the laptop came with. still didn't work, they had corrupted drivers too, or something.So I honestly don't know what to do. I remember a few months ago, I tried downloading a realtek hd audio driver, wow i lost sound for 3 days straight, no one on the internet knew and kept on insisting to install other drivers when I had to type 2 lines in the command prompt.
Lately when I run Windows Media Center and I'm watching live TV, the screen will just go black and the sound will stop. I can't get anything to come up on the monitor (goes into sleep mode), yet the hard drive is still going and power is on the pc. I have to power down the pc and reboot it. I have checked all my power settings and made sure they are good, I have the latest driver for my Nvidia graphics card.
I never had this problem and then began about a month ago and seemed to go away. Lately it is back. WMC will play live tv for about 10 minutes and then black screen. I have run malware and anti virus programs, nothing detected. Updated graphics card, pc isn't overheating. I have run out of ideas why WMC is going to a black screen. If I run just the pc, I have no problems, it's only when WMC is running.
It has happened now over 2 times in 3 months. Not so much but it's still quite annoying.. I couldn't read the whole report of the blue screen screen but it said something about memory clash or something.

Anyone had similar problems with The Sims 3 crashing computer to the safe mode screen? Been playing Sims on my laptop for couple of years and everything was fine until I installed a new game. Im not sure whether there is a windows update which is interferring or not. Anyone experience anything? There is nothing wrong with my graphics card and my fan isnt overheating. My dad works in IT and we have basically pulled apart the laptop and rebuilt it and it still crashes when The Sims 3 is installed.

The past couple of days i've been experiencing unusual behaviour from my computer. For the past few days I've been having crashing problems. The crashes aren't all the same however; on a handful of occasions it's given the famous old 'blue screen of death' and on others my computer either just turns off, or the whole computer just crashes. I've noticed the crashes only occur when I turn the computer to 'full peformance' mode after a couple of minutes meaning I'm literally unable to leave power save mode for more than 3 minutes.
I use 'EPU-4 Engine' to switch my computer between 'power save' mode and 'full peformance' mode only using full peformance if I want to play games or install something.
I didn't think much of this at start, as i've never had these problems before 2 days ago. I figured it may have been a faulty driver, so I downloaded specific ones for hardware, but that didn't solve the problem. I then tried a system restore to restore back to a previous date presuming it may have been an update that went wrong, but nothing changed, I still got the crashes.

well my screen keeps going black, i restarted, then it stopped bt wanted to make sure the monitor is working fine, well, i installed skimcleaner, a few days ago or maybe earlier, computer hasn't speed up.
I'm having some serious troubles with my main PC, my gaming PC, and it's really messing things up for me. I was just parusing around like usual on my computer, it runs Windows 7, and I allowed it to download the usual updates and restart itself. When it shut down and began restarting, I notice that it loads up the logo, briefly flashes what I think is called a Bios Post page, and then goes to a page that is nothing but a blinking "__" sign. It does nothing here, won't continue, and I can't enter or do anything. It just endlessly blinks, before disappearing and the computer screen shows nothing but black.
I'm having random crashes during general usage on my pc. Attached you will(hopefully) find bsod logs. I have run memtest already and it came back ok. I have also updated to latest nvidia drivers and it still happens.This is a nearly fresh install of windows 7 and i have loaded minimal software onto it since install a week or so ago.
just put together a new computer and I'm having trouble booting it up. All the lights on the MoBo, and the fans are running, the fan on my GPU seems like its going at max speed.
When I try to start up, the computer starts, then turns off for about 2 seconds, then starts up again, and stays on until i turn it off. Theres only 1 short beep when I start it up. I am using a HDMI cable from my monitor to my graphics card, and it just says " no signal "

When I turn my computer on nothing happens. The power light comes on and I hear ONLY the fans turning. Nothing happens on the screen, it just stays black. It does say NO VGA signal.

My friend was having problems with her computer. So I ran a few programs to check it out and clean it up.. (AVG, CCleaner, AntiMalware...) But then after running the last one and rebooting, the screen goes black once Windows starts to load. Then the mouse appears but still nothing. I tried safe mode and still nothing... Not sure what to do, but just gaining access to copy files to an external hard drive is important. I was planning to reformat anyways..

Just got myself this (old) new computer, that I was going to use for a media center. But it randomly crashes, and i can't seem to figure out why. I formated it yesterday, so I doubt it would be a virus.Sometimes it goes black, and picture returns within a few seconds, but other times it freezes up completely. When I restart it (with the power button) I cant get pasted the BIOS screen, but if I unplug the power supply, and hit the power button a few times and then plug in the power, it starts up like normal. When I'm playing certain video games, like Battlefield Play4Free, sometimes, my computer lag spikes and then my screen flashes black. Then the lag's gone. After that, in the tray notification area, I get a message saying, "Display driver Igfx stopped responding and successfully recovered".

I have a custom built pc, running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, Intel LGA 775 motherboard, Intel Xeon 2.4 Quad processor, 550 watt power supply and nvidia GeForce 9800 GT graphics card. I do audio recording, and use an external audio interface (novation x-station 49). My computer has ran flawlessly for the past year or so, now my 2 (22" Samsung) monitors go black after a few minutes. It started out once or twice a day, now it only takes about 5 minutes.
My first thought was the video card (because both monitors go black) which I'm still in the 5 year warrantee period, so I can get it replaced. Everything is normal, then I get a second of messed up screens, then it goes black. When the screens are messed up, they look like the one referring to bad video card ram in this link... my computer boots up to a black screen with a mouse. The problem is, when I boot from anything or into any option I get this. Safe Mode gets me black screen, so does booting from a Win 7 Recovery disk, everything puts me in a black screen with cursor. At first it will show Windows logo on the screen, with loading bar, then cuts out, and cursor pops up. That's it.Also, when I try to boot normally, it hangs at Windows logo, then flashes a quick blue screen then reboots.
