Last week i had my system crash in that i have lost all my partition disk data's. After that i have re installed my OS and re recreate a partition disk also. For my data's i try to trace it by using recovery software. I got all my videos and documents and mp3 files. but i cannot able to find my photos in my system. I dont know what is the reason.
I was try to find some photos but every photos are showing invalid image.
the installation didnt find any driveits seems like i need to load driver to find the hard drive but i didnt find...for xp i used the MB driver calld "asrock 775Twins-HDTV"

When I look under device manager they are both listed and they are both listed under the bios menu. When I look in my computer though under hard disk drives it only shows the one that I have the OS on. When I had Vista it showed both of them. Is this something I should be worried about. The drives are listed as WDC WD3200AAJS-22B4A0 DRIVE 1 and WDC WD3200AAJS-22B4A0 DRIVE 0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am really digging the ability to rate and tag photos. I take a lot of photos and don't have enough room for them on my C: drive. I have a second internal drive that I store them on. The problem is that I am unable to rate or tag any picture on the second drive. The stars are de-highlighted and tags is not even present in the pane. However, any picture on the C drive can be rated or tagged.
I have tried adding the external drive folder as a library. It addes it properly and allows the arranging functions to be used but I can not tag or rate.
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit (clean install from formatted drive)
i can not install dual-both window7 and window8 on my computer.i think that may be my hard is dynamite.not basic.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.

I have few questions on Windows 7 Upgrade. Currently I'm using windows vista home premium 64 bit and I bought an windows 7 home premium 64 bit upgrade disk.
first thing is I want to format my previous operating system and all the data in my laptop and install windows 7 in it using the Upgrade disk.
second thing is I don't have my vista installation disk with, my laptop was pre-installed with vista so in future if I want to switch can I get back VISTA using system restore.
third is can i install windows 7 on a new hard disk using a windows 7 Upgrade disk?
have used ATI for a long time with no problems on various machines, including my Windows 7 Ultimate, x86 computer. this machine has a WD black caviar sata lll 500gig hdd, but is connected on sata ll (mobo doesn't support sata lll). have just got a new machine which is running windows 7 ultimate x64. it has the same hdd as the machine mentioned above, but is connected as sata lll on the mobo. ATI told me that it couldn't find any disk drives, so i couldn't back up the hdd. i discovered that WD put out their own version of ATI, so i downloaded it, installed it and made a recovery cd. this gives me the same error that it cant find any disk drives so i still cant back up the hdd. didn't see why but thought it may be the o/c settings, i reverted back to stock but no difference. windows backup works, but produces a hell of a big file compared to ATI.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have the problem that when i am starting up my copmuter it cant find my HDD with my System on. under upstart it says cant find boot drive restart the computer. Then i start up, push F12 and Select HDD, select my Main HDD and then it starts to windows.
It all started after moving my Main HDD Sata Cable to another plug on the motherboard.
is there anyway to change what disc it boots from first, other than changing the cables ?
I've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

NO I do not want to format this hard drive it has all my backed up files!!! Can anyone help me? A little more info: Before i redid my cpu the hard drive was a secondary that i had used bitlocker on to keep it password protected. I know my password but i do not see my hard drive and i NEED to get into this hard drive.

But the installation never gets started, because when it asks me to select a drive to install to, the list is blank. It can't find my hard drive, and there's no way to direct it to do so.
This is odd, because Vista has always run perfectly for me, and I've never experienced any issues. All of my Windows updates and drivers are current, Microsoft Security Essentials is disabled, and still Windows 7 can't seem to find my C drive. Any suggestions?
Any ideas how I get my other hardrive to come up?

Sometimes I have to reboot and it shows up but other times it doesn't. I have removed it and pressed it back in its slot to make sure there isn't just a bad connection. Obviously I need to do a custom install, as I'm not upgrading from anything, but when I get to the screen where it asks where I would like to install Windows 7, nothing is listed. I've tried loading from the disc that came with the motherboard, the Windows 7 CD itself, even the C drive (said it needed to format it, but couldn't).
