Nov 8, 2011is it possible to somehow partition a NEW CLEAN hard drive and copy windows installation files from mounted iso and make that partition bootable to install on a different partition on the same NEW/CLEAN hard drive? on a different PC? its cuz im a tech and i left all my flash drive and cd's somewhere else XD and i gotta install =P i pretty much want to be able to put the hard drive into the new pc and have it boot to the disk and install to the same.

My installation gets stuck on expanding files - it goes no further than 0% and then throws up error 0x80070017. clean the main partition (not the 100MB one created by the CD) with the Clean ALL command on the X: drive. Nov 17, 2009Im currently setting it up and everything was going smoothly until it finished. It rebooted, started up and then started 'Configuring System' this finished then rebooted. Then did the same thing, then it did it again. Now its frozen on the 'Configuring System' screen.

Aug 3, 2012Recently i have installed a game called Command and conquer generals , and Command and conquer generals zero hour after installing it i download a game mods. My toshiba laptop satellite works fine , but after booting it up again the day after i installed those games my laptop stuck's up on welcome screen after putting up my laptops password . I try to fix this problem by going into safe mode and scanning for errors in "error-checking" option on computer's property . After scanning i managed to get through the welcome screen. But my new problem is that my laptop freezes after booting up , when i point my cursor in the taskbar it keeps on loading and never stop and when i open any program is suddenly stops , i cannot open anything.

Jul 19, 2012I just performed a fresh reinstall on toshiba satellite c665 with windows 7, all seemed smooth, however it will not even check for updates.. I go to windows update and it says "windows update cannot check for updates because service is not running, you may need to restart your computer".. So I made sure all update services / module were started, and even tried the "fix it update program" still same error.. This never happened to me before.. I'm stuck.

I know for a fact the last updates that were released for my BIOS and my motherboard chipset were in 2006. Will they even work in Windows 7?

Jul 16, 2012I recently created shortcut desktop 'sign-in' links on my two laptops to take me straight to the place where I enter my email address and password so I can look at my mail. That's fine, but somehow on the older machine I managed to create s shortcut straight to my actual hotmail inbox, meaning I did not have to go through the signing in process. I would like to do that on my other machine as it saves a few seconds and I am on and off email all day. If it sktop link which takes me direct to my account is the miscrosoft windows logo, whereas the one on my other laptop which takes me to the signing in station has a little orange envelope and 'hotmail sign in' on it.
