BSOD Frequently After Starting Windows 7 X64 Error 0x00000050
Apr 22, 2012
Currently I am experiencing a major issue with my computer. I will start my computer up and I get a BSOD within about 10 minutes. It has happened 10 times already and I have no idea how to fix it. I have read numerous forums, tried updating graphics card drivers, hard drive drivers. I have performed disk check and run a memory test with no errors. I am not sure if it is a hardware fault or other. The BSOD also occurred while I was in safe mode with netowrking turned on. I have tried doing clean boots and even tried disabling my graphics cards, network adapters and audio drivers. I will post the dump file which is always the same every time the BSOD happens.
Dump File : 042212-9937-01.dmp
Crash Time : 22/04/2012 4:13:52 PM
Bug Check String : PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Every time I start up Autodesk 3ds Max 2013, I get a BSOD shortly after it begins initializing with the error of PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. Everything else runs fine, and Autodesk products are the only things that cause any form of error. What do I do to make this no longer happen?

After recently installing a new RAM DIMM to my PC, once in a while Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit crashes.
I'm not certain, but I think the only error I've received on BSoD is "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" (last time the parameters were 0x00000050 (0x80eac2dd, 0x00000000, 0x9e306c99, 0x00000002)). I'll attach the mini-dump files. I'm pretty sure is related to my RAM, because it's mixed. I sure hope my new DIMM isn't faulty. I'm also attaching a report from Everest about my PC.
P.S.: I've also recently played a bit with my BIOS to OC my CPU a bit. CPU voltage is at 1.45V, memory is set to 1.85V, DDR-2 667, 5-5-5-18-2T.
P.P.S.: Forgot to mention... I've run memtest86+ overnight (about 8 hours) - no errors... Also ran Windows' memory test - no errors.

Have recently completed a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a customers laptop, installed Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 x32 and put all his data back on there.Since then hes been getting BSOD's. Have downloaded and installed Blue Screen viewer and have found that im getting 2 different error codes.
1, Stop Error 000000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
2, Stop Error 000000109
I have tested the RAM using memtest overnight and has 15 passes. The problem is i cant reproduce this issue, it seems to be completely random in falling over. I have had it on a test bench for 48 hours running PCMARK 7 and it hasnt fallen over once and then when i have given it back to the customer he says within the hour it was doing it again. I have asked him if there is something specific he is doing when it crashes and he says no its just general use.

Been having random BSOD for the past week or so. Started on Sunday (11-27-11),where I had come back to my machine and it had been restarted... after logging in, find out that it was a BSOD. I then proceded to have 3 different BSOD events on Monday, which led me to perform a memtest on Tuesday morning to see if my memory was bad. After 2 full passes (I know, not a full 8), it didn't seem to be that, so I went ahead and did a System Restore from a backup from roughly 2 weeks prior. This led to solid performance for the next week, until this morning (Monday, 12-5-11) when I had another. All BSOD events seemed to occur at random times, so I can't say they were triggered by a specific event to the best of my knowledge.
I had performed the BSOD dump collection and Performance Monitor Report on last monday as well as doing the BSOD dump collection today. Regretfully, I cannot get the Performance Monitor to stop running today, so hopefully just the dump collection will be enough. As for my computer components:- HP Elite 7000 MT machine- Windows 7 Ultimate x64- Not the version originally installed on system- Hardware is a little over a year and a half old- 64-bit OS (originally had x86) wasinstalled 13 months ago.- Only non-stock hardware would be an added harddrive (just a backup drive, no OS on it), and I added 4GB more RAM (alongside the original 4GB) back in January.

I usually get BSOD once a game but not every game, more of it during the start of a DOTA 2 game. The most recent one I had showed an error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA stop: 0x00000050 etc.. This requires me to reboot my computer 4-5 times daily..

My friend has a virus on his laptop, which deleted his winnet.dll files. After trying everything he could he decided to do a restore. When he tried to restore he said it was taking way to long and decided to just to turn off the laptop. Leading to more problems, now every time he tries to boot the laptop it shows the loading files followed by the Windows loading screen. After that it shows a blank screen with the mouse. Anyway to fix this.I tried booting from safe mode but that didn't work, it would just crash with a BSOD

Getting random BSOD's during every now and then. Especially when playing games (ANNO 2070, for ex.). I've run CHKDSK(inc. physical disk scan), and Memory Tests and found no errors. I am using NOD32 AV even though the PERFMON report states otherwise.

FS9 (Flight Simulation 2004) used to run OK, no problems. After installing REX2004 patches and Overdrive, a few seconds after starting FS9 a BSOD occurs. So far no other programs have caused a BSOD. I have tried fully uninstalling FS9 and reinstalling it and the BSOD returns after the reinstall. At present FS9 is not installed. Have now created the file folder you requested to support this thread, see attached. I can again run FS9?

I just built my first computer and am now attempting to do an install of Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). I am encountering BSOD during the install.
I downloaded the ISO and burned it to disc and had BSOD issues. At first I thought possibly that it was the ISO or the burn, but now I am using a disk that has been used successfully on other computers.
My specs are as follows
Gigabyte P55-UD4P (F3 bios)
Intel i5 750
4 GB of Crucial DDR3 RAM (2x2GB)
WD Caviar Black 640 GB Hard drive
Sapphire Radeon 5850HD
I have adjusted the BIOS to boot to the DVD drive first. In addition, the BIOS came not set to AHIC (I think that is what it is called. I heard that it can cause problems.) I have made no changes in the BIOS.
I have encountered BSOD at different times. First I got it during the Windows 7 installation, at 1%. Now I've gotten it before you are even able to select the language to install it in (the first screen you are presented with I believe).
I have gotten different errors, but unfortunatly I only wrote one of them down, the most recent. It says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" and the tech info says: "STOP: 0x00000050"
I really don't know exactly where to start to troubleshoot this. I really don't know if it's a hardware or software issue.

A couple of months ago, I bought a new graphics card: a Nvidia 560GTX (Gigabyte GV-NV56GOC) and a new PSU (Corsair CX500 V2 Builder Series, 500 W) to run it and after 3 weeks the PC began to fail with the 116 error. At the begining it crashed only at Windows 7 blue starting screen (after the loading screen with win logo and a progress bar). It happened once every 4 or 5 days. After a month it was almost imposible to run unless starting in "FailSafe Mode" and began to crash in the desktop in idle. I tested it with another drivers, clean installs, changing cabes, etc... and nothing worked, only with another graphics card (an old nvidia 220GT wich came with the PC) and worked properly so I decided so send the card in RMA.
A couple of days ago the seller sent me an email saying that they couldn't find any issue with the 560GTX and they sent the card to Gigabyte to further testing (I wil have to wait 20-30 days to have more info). Yesterday my PC with the old card (the 220GT) began to fail while playing Skyrim with a grey screen and a strange buzz in the speakers. After 2 seconds it restarts saying that there was an system error bccode 116. Today it has crashed 4 times in 5 hours while playing (same as yesterday), "youtubbing" or (I think, but not sure than) in idle with a white screen and a strange buzz in the speakers, but not starting like with the 560GTX.
I had to change my HDD a month ago too so I tested in 2 diferent HDDs, drivers are OK and I guess that the PSU is enough for the new card and more than enough with the old one. I also ran sfc.exe /scannow witho no problems.I'm running Windows Home Premium x64 (Service Pack 1) OEM, reinstalled one or 2 months ago. I will attach minidump files with errors of both cards.

This is a new computer build that I finished a few days ago. I've updated the BIOS, set up a RAID 1 configuration through Intel Rapid Storage Technology/through the BIOS. I installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and have begun to migrate my programs and data over from my previous machine. This process has been paused because I am experiencing BSOD. There are two which have occurred:
0x0000001a - MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
0x00000050 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
I ran a Windows Memory Diagnostic test overnight - no problems were found. I've updated all my drivers. I have followed the BSOD posting instructions and SF Diag Tool instructions, and also googled effortlessly regarding these Stop codes.

I have trawled the forums and tried what seem to be the usual tricks.
Including: Running anti virus (AVG)
Running a registry cleaner
Running a Malware cleaner
Replacing old RAM with newer and more RAM.
Removing Daemon tools
Some of these measure have provided (the illusion of?) stability, but never for more than a day. SO, I'm a bit stumped and hope someone can advise. Perhaps interestingly I am having some problems updating my ATI driver, it is 12.3 instead of 12.4 at the moment. I have included specs below, unfortunately I don't seem to be able to attach Minidumps.
Intel® Coreā¢ i5 750 Quad Core Processor (2.66GHz, 8MB Cache) - LGA1156
Windows 7ā¢ Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit - English

I recently reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on my HP Pavilion dv6233se notebook pc as a response to frequent system crashing and being unable to restart. I've updated all the drivers as far as I can determine, but I still get occasional BSOD. The blue screen is too blurry for me to read so I have no information to go on as far as codes or causes.
The most recent BSOD occurred while running IOLO System Mechanics, when I started the defrag tool, but I have since run the tool without incident.

Collecting data for crash dump
Initializing disk for crash dump
I've lurked around on a lot of websites looking over all the information available before posting here. I replaced a Seagate 1TB HDD with a Caviar 1TB, and that is when the problems began. I am leaning towards the Caviar just being a dud of an HDD, but I want to talk this out with some people before I switch my HDD.I've followed all the standard "make sure your collection is turned on" steps in the Startup and Recovery settings. All drivers are up to date. No Malware on the PC. Temps and voltage appear fine. 15 Hours worth of passes on the RAM turned out ok. Chkdsk returned no errors. So, in essence, computer worked fine, switched HDD, and now computer doesn't work. The entire PC is brand new.

I have been struggling with this for some time so I will try to describe everything I've done to date. I have: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit The hardware is under 2 years old. I have recently re-installed the OS but the trouble predates that. Since last June, I have been receiving BSOD's after the Post but during Starting Windows screen. They all seem to revolve around "ntoskrnl.exe" and my WhoCrashed program has consistently indicated its a driver issue. So I started peeling back the layers.I took out the SLI'd second video card. Still happened, I uninstalled Norton, still happened. I ran the RAM diagnostic tool, everything came back clean. It hit a spike recently and I RMA'd my motherboard. That was a week ago. I installed Windows on a brand new hard drive to mitigate variables. It worked great for 2 days then today, BAM, my first BSOD since the rebuild. This BSOD is consistent with the ones I was receiving before the rebuild. It seems to be random, I can go a week with no BSOD, and then BSOD repeatedly for the next several days. I'm slowly being driven insane little by little. I have used the UniBlue driver scanner and it tells me everything is up to date except for the Marvell Driver which is a raid controller and a controller that I have nothing plugged into. I did not install that this most recent build. Could it be a RAM problem? A BIOS issue? I am not a pro at the BIOS configuration but it doesn't "feel" like that's the problem since it consistently boots, etc.Anyway, I put myself at the forum's mercy.
