When I try to run an RS private server, (which runs using java), It says this. I have attempted to make a path in my system variables, i named it "Java" and put it as C:Program Files (x86)Javajre6in and it still does not work.

Example command:
adb shell getprop ro.product.brand
That command outputs the brand of the device e.g. samsung. I want to capture that without displaying it into a variable that will be used later on in the script. I have the 3 adb files coped over to the scripts location so that it will run natively.
How to make a batch file so that I can launch the ipconfig /all command right off my desktop. I know how to get to the command prompt and running, but I want to just put a shortcut and/or write a batch file with just a click. I can get the command prompt up. I open a new text file and type: C:Windowssystem32cmd.exe and then I save the text file to .bat and I click on it and my command prompt comes up. I can't seem to get ipconfig /all to come up at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know where this error hs_err_pid came from.I closed down explorer and there were all this notepad messages on my desktop and I can't get rid of them. Researching, I know this is a Java thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail.My windows update is fully updated.I've run 3 virus programs.I notice this was addressed for someone using XP but what of Windows 7? My add/remove program file only contines the program Java (TM) update 29. Nothing else is listed as far as Java is concerned.I've run cleaner programs and these did not take care of the problem. Every time I restart my machine these errors immediate pop up at start up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used an Mp3 renaming program which I know cant remember and I stopped it midway through as I didnt know if it was doing what I wanted, I had set it up to remove numbers from the beginning of files, and it added a .bak extension to almost all of my files and now I need to get them off. I have since removed the program before I noticed that and I was wondering if anyone knew of a program or script that would allow me to batch remove the extensions.

This computer is designed to never shut off and doesn't have any other program on it besides Operating System and the sign software. I need to create a batch file that I can place in the "start-up" folder that will open the program (LEDStudio10) and open the file that I want to play. However, these other batch files take awhile to run. and so the entire process takes a very long time, since each "sub" batch file is run only after the previous one is finished.I was wondering if there is a command or way to start a batch file fro the top-level batch file, then go on and start the next batch file before the previous one is finished. In other words, I want the sub batch files to run in parallel in the background. (similar to the '&' in Unix).

I noticed that if I do anything to a file that is in an external drive, that file can not be saved under the same name (read only). In order to do so one must save it internally and then copy or move it to the external drive.So I did just that--I copied a file from taken from an external drive, saved it in the internal one and then copied it back to the external one. Now if I r-click the propeerties of these 2 same files and then go to the 'Security' tab a difference is immediately apparent: The internal one has -1- System & -2 My-computername (user-PCuser and -3- Administrators (user-PCAdministrators) with all 3 accounts allowing all (full control, read, write, etc..). While the external drive has in Properties; -1- System -2- Administrators (user-PCAdministrators) and -3- Users (user-PCUserrs) with this final 3d one (and different one) with no Allow for "full control, or modify or write. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a batchfile that ftp's several other batch files to a computer, then calls one of them which schedules the rest. The scheduler batch file uses the schtasks command. When i run the first batch file, it pulls the files fine but twhen it calls the scheduler, i get the error "'schtasks' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." However I know that the command is installed on the computer because i can type in 'schtasks' and i get all the current scheduled tasks' information. I can also manually run the second scheduler batch file and it runs. It only fails when the first batch file calls it. The calling statement at the very end of the first batch file is "call C:atchfilesscheduler.bat". The scheduler is only four schtasks commands on four lines. Can you help me figure out why the commands fail when called from the first batch file.

The batch file (windows command script) I'm making is intended to do something fairly simple. It extracts a 7zip file into the TEMP directory then starts an executable from that 7zip file. All that is not a problem, but I really wanted to add some house cleaning functionality as well. Namely, after that executable or process is closed, the script deletes the extracted content from the TEMP folder. Also, but less importantly I was wondering if there is a way to hide the command prompt while the script & application is running, mainly so the command prompt window isn't closed while waiting for the application to end, thus missing the command to purge the TEMP files.

(On Windows 7 HomePremium) Windows 7 on partition of my main HD (sata) (Western Digital- have had good luck with them over the years)had a second 320 gig HD (sata) (WD) and a third 12 year old WD ide 40 gig (scuzzy, mainly just backups) Abit IP35Pro mobo (was suspecting sata connects) It's been fine. Until maybe a few months ago when my 320 gig hd blinked out once. I ended up clean reinstal windows, wiped it, lost some data. changing the sata connections brought it back. Might've happened twice.

I've always had java before, and when I tired to update, it was telling me that it either A. Couldn't do it, or B. It wasn't installed for some kind of error. I've deleted the java, and redownloaded it, and still the same problems. Also, on the automatic updates, its not letting the windows 7 SP1 update either. Maybe has to do with the Java, or vice versa?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a 2 TB, and 3TB Seagate Go HDs and decided they would be best used as internal drives, turns out they both crashed completely upon SATA connection in the motherboard, I first guessed probably due to the difference in boot record. Upon reformatting in NTFS, I have found that the drives run very sluggish, I have been debating on just buying a new USB drive and copying my files, then getting rid of these 2 HDs. This doesn't make sense to me as I used to think all HDs were the same, does anyone know any reason why these 2 external drives are killing my system performance after they were made into internal drives (also why would they completely crash before).

Now I bought USB/SATA cabel and I connected the optical drive to the laptop, it is recognized in windows but it is treated as a hard drive (or removable disk). That's great for me as I use Carbonite and they only backup internal drives. I was wondering why Windows 7 sees it as an internal and I could fool Windows into thinking other drives were internal as well?

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded the latest Java Version 7, no problems.However, when l tried to get rid of my older version, Java(tm) version 6 Update 32, it says that the installer is missing a dll (no name mentioned) and cannot continue.Did this via the add/remove programs in control panel, and also Revo Uninstaller,but the same message appears.Then tried downloading Java 6_32 again in case that was somehow corrupt, but it wouldn't install because of this un-named missing dll!I suppose l could just delete the directory concerned but surely that would leave remnants behind as opposed to a clean uninstall.

Now when I place that in an enclosure and want to use it as an external HDD drive, it doesn't pick up the device. Through Diskpart I am able to give the drive a letter and access it, but when I "Safely" remove device, the Drive letters remain....
- Do I need to do anything special to make the Device a Plug and Play?
- How do I remove the Drive Letters that I assigned through Diskpart from "My Computer"?
