OC To Over 10%, Vista Won't Load

Sep 7, 2008

I bought an ASUS Striker II Formula, and it the DVD it has comes with a lot a stuff to install. One of them is AI Suite, which has a couple of features including the OC program AI booster. For some reason when I try to OC to over 10%, Vista won't load. If anyone knows a better OC program please tell me or help me with this program. The version of AI Suite is 1.03.16. Just so you know, when I overclock to 10%, my CPU temperature stays at or under 40 degrees Celsius. When every CPU core is a 100%, the temperature is 56 degrees Celsius.

Vista Will Not Load With 4GB's Of Ram Or Even 3GB's

Oct 10, 2008

i have Corsair XMS2 DDR2 1GBx2 memory sticks in my computer, i installed vista with this Ram and then after installation decided to place another 2GB's of RAM. My issue currently is that Windows Vista will not load with 4GB's of Ram or even 3GB's. When i try to re-install Windows Vista with the new RAM in my pc restarts before installation begins, when i plug the ram in and try to run Vista normally, it either restarts at the loading screen or just crashes completely......

I have heard that there is a windows update which may resolve this issue however you need 3GB's of RAM installed, which my computer wont allow. Any Bios related or any solution in general, could you please go into great detail and if possible step by step guides of how to fix this problem, i have a basic bios knowledge however take my knowledge as 0. (I have also Updated Vista to SP1 and have completed all Vital Updates)

My situation i have a set duel channel 1 gig a-dat memory ddr 400 2gig total memory works for 3 years, still works great. I bought the same memory, set duel channel 1 gig a-dat memory ddr 400 and installed them on my vista 64 bit system the bios reads 4gig np but windows will not load (windows error recovery) no specific error listed. I then took out my original memory and left the new in the newly used duel chanel slots on my motherboard. Both the new memory and the previuosly unused ram slots work fine. I have repeatly installed all 4 gig same problem (windows error recovery) and always works fine with either set of in either duel chanels on my motherboard. I have windows vista 64 bit.

HDD Running Very Slowly And Turns Off

Sep 29, 2009

I just bought a Dell studio XPS 1640 about a week ago. It ran perfectly until 2 days ago. Now when I turn on the computer it takes forever. When it finally gets running the HDD light on the case is always on and it runs very slowly. If the computer has been on for several hours the light turns off and it runs fine. But when I restart it does the same thing over again. I thought it might be indexing or something along those lines but didnt know how to find out.

Down Load Vista Ultimate Put In The 32 Bit Instead Of The 64

Oct 14, 2009

I just purchased a new HP desktop, INtel core 2 Quad processor, 64 bit performance with 8gb of ram, 1 Terrabyte hard drive. It came with Vista home premium 64 bit edition. I had previously purchased Vista Ultimate for a laptop that no longer works. When I downloaded Vista Ultimate I put in the 32 bit instead of the 64. I am not able to do a restore to go back to the way I purchased it. I am not very computer savvy. And what would be the down fall for keeping the 32 bit installed (somone had told me I wouldn't be using the full capicity of the computer).

when i install Windows Vista and it is on Expanding Files it takes a really long time, its suddenly stops and its takes a really long time to increase the percentage of Expanding the files...

When it's finish Expanding the files it takes about 1 hr to install and when the installation is complete the start up takes about 30 minutes to finish and open the desktop and when im in the desktop, it takes about 10 minutes to just click on something and usually it freezes or locks up and it will just continue reading.....

I have already tested the "Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor" and it said that my computer can run any Vista Version. i've been so stress just waiting for the installation of this Windows.

Vista Will Not Load After Software Install

Aug 17, 2009

I installed ActivClient 6.1 (CAC reader sw), on a Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 laptop running Vista Ultimate SP1. When performing the suggested restart to complete the install, I received this error ""Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause....blah, blah, blah...File: windowssystem32DriverspxHelp20.sys Status: 0xc0000098 Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt."

I tried the Vista Repair option multiple times and though it indicated success, I still could not start windows. I then attempted to perform a restore from three separate restore points, each time it stated to reboot as if all was well, but returned the same errors with alternating bad files PxHelp20 or winload. I went to the Vista repair utility command prompt and attempted to run sfc /scannow, but was given "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."

Business 32-bit Boots Up Very Slowly, Blue Screen

Dec 19, 2008

the PC boots up very slowly and I began to occasionally receive Blue Screen Errors. I think I have most up to date drivers for my hardware and applied most of the tutorials in the Speed Up the Performance of Vista Tutorial on my PC. However I have a RAID 0 setup and 3 partitions on my HDs and couldn not apply the #6. Enable Advanced Performance for the Hard Drive tutorial.

At system startup up Windows Explorer crashes sometimes and while playing Adobe Flash Movies from a CD I got an Blue Screen Error after I restarted the computer in Safe Mode with Net Support and now I am writing this post; the computer booted faster in safe mode without Kaspersky AV and ATI CCC.

After boot the windows reported that the cause of unexpected error was Intel Matrix Storage Manager(iaStor.sys)? I have used Uniblue Driver Scanner 2009 to scan the drivers and update them as necessary recently. How can I find out if there is any driver conflicts or cluster on the main drive? I have SP1 installed with 4GB physical RAM whose only 3070 MB can be used and have the latest drivers avaible for my GPU and the latest BIOS for my MOBO. I also experience lack of performance while displaying desktop, executing a program. Furthermore I want to know how can I access Boot logs manually.

Blue Screen When Load Vista Install

Mar 23, 2008

I've been getting the same blue screen as early as attempting to load the Vista install PE environment from the DVD. Would like some specifics as to what that is pointing to. Initially, I had a bad stick of RAM. I have since RMA'd the RAM, and tested the new RAM. I'm not showing any errors with the new RAM. It does it irregardless of 64 bit mode, or 128 bit mode. It does it, when I add a second stick of RAM however.

Window Vista Dvd Would Not Boot

Jun 1, 2009

This is for sure that its an old issue and has been quite used and abused on this and different forums. I tried to boot my laptop from the Windows Vista DVD but it just wouldn't boot. Its booting all fine from my desktop but not from my laptop. All i am getting is the bootmgr error. Its not even letting me into the BIOS. When I try to press any function keys, i get error beeps. For the hell of it, I tried to boot from the Windows XP bootable as well and even from Linux Fedora bootable...Did anyone get anything like this. If yeah and you were able to solve the whole thing out, please be kind enough to share the solution.
