i recently installed roxio creator pro and was having trouble burning cds so i uninstalled still didnt work and i reinstalled and uninstalled again now it doesnt reckognize any discs cd or dvd it just kicks them out and says please put in disc. everything was working fine til i tried the roxio did i lose the drivers or what and the unit is fine.
View 6 RepliesI have not been able to get my Roxio Easy Media Creator to work. When I click on any of the icons, it says that the 'certificate is invalid or corrupted' and wants me to reinstall it. Is there some way of repairing this short of a complete reinstall? I have the Roxio disk supplied by Dell and I was hoping to get away with not having to completely reinstall the program. I have no luck with that stuff.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Roxio Creator 9 (which works fine on my desktop XP machine) on my Vista Sp1 laptop and cannot use Cineplayer. After the flash screen shows for several seconds I get "Cineplayer has stopped working" and a second message asking to close the program. I did a clean install (twice) and all other Creator applications work as expected.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi got vista installed in AHCI sata mode i got xp installed in IDLE sata mode when i tried to boot up vista, it tries to boot up xp instead and bsod occured i used vista eRecovery i typed bootrec.exe /fixboot and it didnt work it still tries to boot into xp, i typed bootrec /scanos , it only scanned my D:Windows XP OS only.......

The other day it just started hanging so i supposed that the Operation system was the Fault (Windows Vista Ultimate.), Did a format but the same thing... So i Unpluged the Hard Disk From the Computer and Pluged it in another Working Computer, newly installed Windows Vista And Some Programms and drivers, then Checked if everything i working Fine, And it seems so... Well then I connected the HD to the Other Computer and swicthed it on... its going to Load Windows, Afer the First Bar runs it suddenly Splashes A blue Screen... And Restarts the Computer.. Well After that i removed the RAM and tried them in my other working Computer and there were working Great, So does the Graphic Card, If netheir the RAM Neither the Graphic Card and nor the DVD Drives is the Problem. SO What May Be The F***G Problem?..........

View 5 Replies View RelatedOK, my Dell Dimension E521 running Vista Business SP1 does NOT like Spore Creature Creator. (single core, 1 gig ram, integrated HD audio chip (SigmaTel), GeForce 7300 LE PCIe card) I installed the Trail version yesterday and no problems. I used the EA Downloader to download the full version and quickly found out that you had to uninstall the trial to get the full version to install correctly.
After installing the full version, I started the game and the game crashes
shortly after the EA Logo appears on screen.I went through my registry and striped out all the Spore entries and reinstalled, but I am getting the same crash on start-up.
I recently created a second administrative account. For sercurity reasons i hid it from the login screen. When i was making it I accidently changed my first administrative account to standard and didnt change it back before i logged off. Now I cant login in to an administrative account or change the dword value back to 1 so i can login because i dont have adminstrative permission. When i try to do this or change the account back to adminstrator it says "To continue type an administrators password and press ok. BUT their is nowhere to type and the ok is shaded so i cant press it! WHAT do i do! Is their another way i can login?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung DVD Rom which I have put into my new PC from my old one. It's only about 3 years old and worked fine in my old PC. Vista found the driver necessary and installed it. Worked fine. Last night I tried to use Roxio to copy a cd which ended up with Roxio crashing. I had to reboot. Once rebooted, Vista told me it was installing a device driver for a Semwung DVD-ROM$SD-616E$ATA device. This has left me scratching my head as to why my Samsung is now a Semwung! Any ideas? Also, I have noticed over the last couple of days that someone/thing keeps changing my homepage. I've run Spybot and my antivirus scanner and had 5 tracking cookies and have got rid of them. Is there any way I can find out what keeps changing my homepage? Once whatever it is tries to change my homepage and I try to use Explorer to surf the web, I get directed to a Norton page telling me something's tried to change my homepage but won't tell me what or what to. I don't think my current problems are connected in any way

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my old XP machine I could go into the "sound" option, select recording options and check the "stereo mix" box, then play a song in Windows Media Player and record in Roxio or another sound recording application. This was a useful way to convert song files from one format to another (for example, from wmf to mp3, or from some proprietary iTunes or Rhapsody format to mp3). This option isn't available on my new Gateway running Windows Vista. The new sound menu has "Recording options" and "Playback options". Under "Recording options" it only has Microphone, Aux and Line In. None of these work for recording from the computer. Is this a limitation of my machine, or of Vista? Is there a way around this problem? How do I record from the sound card in Vista?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Compaq Presario desk top computer, and my wife has basically the same computer as mine (also a Compaq Presario), but in lap top form. Hers is about a year newer than mine. My computer came with 1GB or RAM, and I installed another 1.5GB about a year ago (by replacing one of the two 512mb memory cards with a 2gb card), and now I have a total of 2.5GB of RAM. My computer model, according to Compaq, is expandable up to 4GB.
In the last month or so, I've got into using DVD ripping programs to abstract video from discs and into my computer. Using Roxio at first, a 25 minute television show was taking about three hours to complete, with a video file of only 578MB being produced. On this particular program, there is no settings to produce a smaller or larger file. I have to say that the DVD rips were coming out just as good as the DVD version when I played back the "wmv" file in my computer, so I was very pleased with that, at least.....
After I installed SP1 today, all third party burning software will not recognize my DVD drive as a burning drive. I can only burn from the embedded windows burning software.

I suspected that Roxio 10 took over my pictures marking them in this peculiar way. It was not. Uninstalling Roxio didn't in getting rid of the horrible "mark".

What is the best NG to learn how to create DVD movies that might actually work when attempting to watch on TV? I am using Convert2DVD 4 to create DVD movies NTSC but when I attempt to watch them on TV I get nothing or a msg that states "No Video". I can play these movies fine on my computer.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been wracking my brain for weeks now, trying to play C&C First Decade with Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge over the LAN, it will only run on IPX networking which I could setup with 2x XP machines, I have Vista Ultimate on my PC, and XP on another, I found some drivers for IPX to work on Vista, didn't work ... So I loaded Hamachi which had built-in IPX support. Now when I open RA2, it no longer says IPX unavailable, it shows 00 00 00...
So it can see my Hamachi adapter with IPX support, great! The other XP machine has Hamachi installed, and they are both VPN'd (Connected) on the same Hamachi Network. They don't see each other... The XP machine shows a few IPX networks, I have tried switching to them all, even put the Hamachi adapter and the LAN adapter to the top of the preferred networks list. This was sort-of a breeze with both XP, but with Vista it's looking to be a bit tricky. I have no firewalls running on either machine and I am pretty cluey when it comes to networking (TCP/IP that is).
Ive just bought some new headphones yet when i plug them in the sound still comes out of the speakers. I know the headphones do work because i use them with my mp3 player
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had Windows Vista 64 for 2 Months now and of that period of time it worked soundly for about 2 Weeks. I am NOT an irresponsible User, I don't just delete Data, I know a little something about computing, I don't visit or download from dubious sites etc.
1) Without any reason software suddently doesn't work.
a) I installed a Antivirussoftware - after 3 Weeks it suddently didn't work any more (Kaspersky) I couldn't reinstall it.
b) I installed a new Antivirussoftware - after 5 days it didn't work anymore.
c) 4 days later I started to get errormessages "Windows Defender doesn't work any more" - "Windows Hostprocess doesn't work anymore"
Well, my Memory RAM doesn`t work like it used to.
Later on, my Memory RAM Score was like 5,9 on RAM and now it is 4,8 after i formatted my computer. I`m sometimes experiencing some slowdowns, like i type a entire word, and after 3 seconds it shows up. Or i scroll down, and after like 4 , 5 seconds the page shows up.
OBS: The Paging file is managed by the System ( I Used to let it on 4 mb )
