I have not been able to get my Roxio Easy Media Creator to work. When I click on any of the icons, it says that the 'certificate is invalid or corrupted' and wants me to reinstall it. Is there some way of repairing this short of a complete reinstall? I have the Roxio disk supplied by Dell and I was hoping to get away with not having to completely reinstall the program. I have no luck with that stuff.
View 7 Repliesi recently installed roxio creator pro and was having trouble burning cds so i uninstalled still didnt work and i reinstalled and uninstalled again now it doesnt reckognize any discs cd or dvd it just kicks them out and says please put in disc. everything was working fine til i tried the roxio did i lose the drivers or what and the unit is fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Roxio Creator 9 (which works fine on my desktop XP machine) on my Vista Sp1 laptop and cannot use Cineplayer. After the flash screen shows for several seconds I get "Cineplayer has stopped working" and a second message asking to close the program. I did a clean install (twice) and all other Creator applications work as expected.

Before uninstalling Office 2003 I stored some Outlook pst-files (e-mail, contacts and archive files). How can I import these files into Windows Mail/Contacts on my new laptop (Windows Vista/MS Office 2007 H&S). I tried Windows Easy Transfer, but it didn't work.
2. How can I import Mozilla Thunderbird files (e-mail, contacts) from the old laptop into Windows Mail/Contacts on the new one? The wizzard does not give the opportunity to select Thunderbird files.
After I started windows 7 easy transfer on Vista Home Premium 32 bit, it runs for a while, then says "please reboot your PC and try again". Rebooted a few times and still get the same error. I got tried chkdsk at reboot time and 'Repair your computer' using vista DVD instal disk.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am running Window Vista Home Premium SP1 and have been unable to start WMC using the remote control, shortcuts or by running the ehshell.exe both normally and as administrator. When I try to start WMC using any of the above it looks like the programme trys to start (blue circle appears for a few seconds) then nothing happens.
The last time I tried to open MCE I recieved the following error message: - C:WINDOWSehomeehshell.exe "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." Every few days after restarting the PC an icon appears on the system tray informing me that WMC is downloading guide information from the net for the TV channel listing. When I right click on the icon and select open WMC I get the following error message: - "Unable to start Windows Media Centre"
I have tried setting up a new shortcut, uninstalled and reinstalled SP1 and have installed the latest driver for my video card NVIDIA GeForce 7650 GS driver 7.15.11.7490 and have still been unable to resolve the problem. Hopefully we can get something moving from this thread. Recently I decided to move from Vista x32 to Vista x64 due to memory upgrade limitations. Upon loading up Vista x64 I discovered that while my media sharing worked just fine I was unable to setup my 360 to be an MCE.Upon researching all of the solutions posted out there and trying them all, I decided to do some controlled tests to see if I could replicate the issue. EACH series was conducted on FRESHLY loaded installations of Vista Ultimate and here's the results. Setup parameters

MCPC: Intel based Core 2 Duo System with 4GB RAM @ 3.00Ghz (DP35DP)
The base connectivity is a 3COM unmanaged 10/100 switch connected into a Cisco ASA 5505 which is bridged to QWEST DSL via a Cisco 678 DSL modem. All drops in the residence have been checked for interference and signal quality, all passing with flying colors. A Server 2008 based Active Directory Domain is present in this configuration with GPO enforced to the Computers via a link to the OU that contains all PC's. There is also an Exchange 2007 server present in this configuration. When each test is completed, the XBOX is wiped to factory defaults to ensure a fresh approach.....

A number of activities comes up with an error message: Invalid Application Unable to launch "" In particular, this happens for Internet TV and Online Media Learn How. A few others I don't recall also does this. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to have much in the way of settings or options that I can or should tweak. Perhaps if there was a way to uninstall and reinstall it, but I suspect it is tightly integrated with the OS. I searched the MS support, but came up empty. Since I see that Media Center is taking an even bigger role in Windows 7, I'd like to figure this out.

A 9 minute file screeches through in about one second with only a weird audio noise like a robot talking into a tin can, and no video at all. At first it wouldn't do it, then a prompt told me I could try & run it if I wanted to. It played but now Media Player won't run on web sites, particularly the Nasa homepage (it used to ). Now I am forced to use QuickTime, which just isn't the same. I won't have RealPlayer on my computer either, just in case anyone suggests I download it.

Finally when the torrent finished downloading, i moved the files to from the completed folder to my tv shows. And now the audio doesnt work. I tried playing some other files and they all work fine. I would go to the MSN site, choose the genre, choose the station and it would automatically open and begin to play in the media player. I eventually put a shortcut to my preferred station on my desktop.
About 2-3 months ago things changed. Instead of the media player opening up and playing the selected station immediately, it started downloaded a file (the station's?) before it would begin playback. All audio that opens in the media player (from MSN's music sites) will not begin before the player downloads a file; it is not the music file itself. This is strange. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to uninstall the media player. I thought by installing it again it would work properly. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening? Is this a new change in the media player?
OK, my Dell Dimension E521 running Vista Business SP1 does NOT like Spore Creature Creator. (single core, 1 gig ram, integrated HD audio chip (SigmaTel), GeForce 7300 LE PCIe card) I installed the Trail version yesterday and no problems. I used the EA Downloader to download the full version and quickly found out that you had to uninstall the trial to get the full version to install correctly.
After installing the full version, I started the game and the game crashes
shortly after the EA Logo appears on screen.I went through my registry and striped out all the Spore entries and reinstalled, but I am getting the same crash on start-up.
I got a virus which I was successfully able to remove from my system but now Windows Media Player doesn't work. Clicking yes just takes me to their website where there isn't a version of WMP for Vista, only for XP. From what I've found there isn't a way to reinstall WMP for Vista. Is there a way to repair this error?

I am running WinRAR 3.71 with x64 Vista Ultimate. The program runs fine, however I am unable to get the shell integration to work. It was enabled and I reset it, right clicked on a rar file and it still was not showing me the options of WinRAR.

Vista found the driver necessary and installed it. Worked fine. Last night I tried to use Roxio to copy a cd which ended up with Roxio crashing. I had to reboot. Once rebooted, Vista told me it was installing a device driver for a Semwung DVD-ROM$SD-616E$ATA device. This has left me scratching my head as to why my Samsung is now a Semwung! Any ideas? Also, I have noticed over the last couple of days that someone/thing keeps changing my homepage. I've run Spybot and my antivirus scanner and had 5 tracking cookies and have got rid of them. Is there any way I can find out what keeps changing my homepage? Once whatever it is tries to change my homepage and I try to use Explorer to surf the web, I get directed to a Norton page telling me something's tried to change my homepage but won't tell me what or what to. I don't think my current problems are connected in any way
