I have tried everything that Tom Tom say, like make sure you own the folders and rights etc etc. But still doing this error.
Every morning I wake up, I have to re-start my computer in order to get Firefox or Internet explorer to work. Have tried all below with both wired and wireless connection. All other functions, icons and various do-dads work, just connecting. If I happen to pass out and forget to logout of either Mozilla or IE, the screen I was on stays up but when I hit re-fresh(IE) or reload (mozilla) the problem pops up.
1. Wake up and touch mouse, desktop comes up, no problem
2. Check network connection, all seems good. Network icon shows full connection, you see the globe symbol, all good.
3. Try to access either Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox.
4. I.E. says it cannot connect and Mozilla says, well it says nothing at all except for "done" in bottom left corner of screen, but leaves a blank screen.
5. Have checked my power settings, and have made sure that both plugged in and on battery that the computer is not set to sleep. Never sleep............
When I open a a certain program I keep getting the error code "windows Host Process (Rundll32) is not responding. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

If I close IE or Firefox and re-open the website it takes 32-40 seconds. The second takes 20. When I open the first program it takes 9 seconds. I do not have a lot of programs running, run my utilities regularly, use CCleaner daily. My hardrive has 50 of 150g used. Is there a way to cut down the load time of the initial website?

My internet provider is Charter and that is what I am using for the POP and SMPT. My husband and I are on the same connection in the house just different computers and he chooses to use hotmail as his email, He is not having any of these problems. I thought it was a Charter problem so I called them and they say it is Microsoft Mail and they can't help. Is there something in options or somewhere else in this Vista Mail that can fix this?

After installing the Dell BT radio, the device manager indicates hardware operable and up-to-date driver. Vista control panel shows the BT icon but clicking on it gives nothing. When the person that installed it is logged on, he can run the program by clicking the .exe, but a service that calls the program fails, and displays a message that says Run-time Error 429 ActiveX component cannot create object. If anyone else is logged on and runs the program by clicking the .exe, they get this same error. I think that the object in question is NTSVC.ocx, but can't be sure.
I have not come up with anything in regards to this. UAC is turned off on this machine. If you right click, select properties, the privilege level checkbox is unavailable - even when the original installer is logged in.

I am using an Acer Aspire 3100 pc. An acquaintance at MS told me that there's some conflict with Acer, but I don't see any warning on the software box that tells me I should expect anything but wonderful results.
Ever since March 3rd, 2009, every time I plug in my MANHATTAN WP5540 graphics tablet, WISPTIS.EXE crashes with the Problem Event Name of "APPCRASH." It was 1:42PM when I plugged in my tablet (Atlantic Standard Time.) I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x64. For applications, I only installed Firefox 3.1 beta 2, and for Windows Updates the last time that I installed any (major) updates was February 27th, 2009, and I don't believe that I've plugged my tablet in after that until the 3rd.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI an unable to have SP1 intall on my computer. When I run Windows Update, it begins the download, then fails after a few minutes, then
gives me the "click here for help" After clicking (obviously ) there are 5 things MS has you do. I tried all 5 and my computer passed,
but SP1 still will not install.
Thinking that maybe Updater was being mean, I dowloaded the stand alone update. When I run that it installs to 50%, then hangs and requires it to be manually cancelled.
The only error I get is "Code 800736B3" which seems to only refer to Dreamscene, and not SP1. That or my google-fu is weak.
I am wondering if there is any possible way of retrieving the activation code, currently in the process of creating a Vista Home Basic DVD with SP1 intergrated into it, currently have same activated and legit on system. I relise that you can call or even activate it over the internet, but this is anoying everytime I install a fresh copy of the OS. I am creating my own personal edition of vista that contains SP1 and Programs I enjoy using.

I purchased 32bit Vista early after its release and then sent off to Ireland for the Vista x64 DVD, cost around ?10, I saw the offer in the 32bit box. I'm having some problems so wanting to reinstall 64bit Vista but for the life of me I can't remember whether I need a code to re-install Vista x64 from just the 64bit DVD, or whether I need to install the 32bit version first and then the 64bit upgrade goes in without needing another install code

View 5 Replies View RelatedBought and installed WEB EASY 7. Ran fine no problems. Shut down system and when I started up later and executed WEB Easy it said that it could not fine the serial code. Put the serial code in again and it ran fine, until the next shutdown and restart. Worked about 6 weeks with WEB EASY (Avanquest) to resolve and they could not. Their final fix was to format the disc and install a clean Vista with all updates.
I have not problem with any other software that I have purchased. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WEB EASY from my account with Admin Priv as well as Installed with the "Hidden Administrator" logon. Avanquest has of course said it is Microsofts problem and hung up. Apparently when I do an initial install and enter the serial code as requested it puts it in the worng place or somewhere that later users, including the Administrator, does not have access to; or the prgrram itself
is locked out of.
Microsoft says I need some updates to Silverlight. I can't use the updates (error code 64C), I can't uninstall or Install it (the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.) What should I do?

After reboot, I ran update and got a bunch of updates. A few days later, update listed sp1 under automatic updates. i ran the update and got this error:

I've gotten this error before on another machine and it was pretty easily fixed by deleting a few folders(as per the instructions in the Help guide). This time, it isn't working. I've tried the steps listed at least a Dozen times, I've downloaded the stand-alone update, combined the error fix with a restart, and I always get the same error. Now, my computer is constantly telling me to install the update, but it won't let me. I really don't want to have to reinstall again.
