Outllook 2007: MSVCR80.dll Component Missing
Mar 26, 2008
I successfully installed Outlook 2007. It went through the configuration process and rebooted. When I try to open the application, I am getting an Outlook.exe error message that says MSVCR80.dll component missing and it suggested that I uninstall and reinstall which I've done four times. Before it closes the program, it says that the problem is with the MS Operating System. I went to the website and downloaded Vista SP1. I was able to open the app one time by accessing it directly from the D: drive where the software was loaded. It overrode the shutdown of the program one time and I then got an error message for the missing component RTFHTML.dll. I've searched the pc and have located both of these components in multiple areas.
I am using an Acer Aspire 3100 pc. An acquaintance at MS told me that there's some conflict with Acer, but I don't see any warning on the software box that tells me I should expect anything but wonderful results.

I got a message on my computer this morning from Windows Defender asking me what to do about a suspicious file named Settings Modifier: Win32/PossibleHostsFileHijack. This was identified as under the directory C:Windowssystem32driversetchosts. I responded to Windows Defender to Clean the file which it did. However, when I now start my Microsoft Outllook 2007 with Microsoft CRM 3.0 added in I get the message that "An error occurred loading Microsoft CRM functionality. Try restarting Outlook."

I am running Vista 64bit opperating system with Office 2007. I have a problem with Outlook which often closes or freezes which needs to restart. This brings up an error that says....
"This program requires a missing Windows Component" " This program requires MSVBVM50.DLL which is no longer included in this version of Windows"
I have checked for solutions online and searched the web but am unable to find anything. Is this a common problem with Outlook and Vista 64bit? Is there a solution? Look forward to hearing from you all.

After installing the Dell BT radio, the device manager indicates hardware operable and up-to-date driver. Vista control panel shows the BT icon but clicking on it gives nothing. An instantaneous indication of the activity cursor appears, but no dialog box and no error message. It is as though there is only placeholder code giving a return.

I'm trying to install either Firefox or Flock and I get the following error: Quote: Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features. I click "OK" and the program does open with, as it says, incorrect behaviour.

We installed an application on a Vista Enterprise machine. When the person that installed it is logged on, he can run the program by clicking the .exe, but a service that calls the program fails, and displays a message that says Run-time Error 429 ActiveX component cannot create object. If anyone else is logged on and runs the program by clicking the .exe, they get this same error. I think that the object in question is NTSVC.ocx, but can't be sure.
I have not come up with anything in regards to this. UAC is turned off on this machine. If you right click, select properties, the privilege level checkbox is unavailable - even when the original installer is logged in.

Ever since March 3rd, 2009, every time I plug in my MANHATTAN WP5540 graphics tablet, WISPTIS.EXE crashes with the Problem Event Name of "APPCRASH." It was 1:42PM when I plugged in my tablet (Atlantic Standard Time.) I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x64. For applications, I only installed Firefox 3.1 beta 2, and for Windows Updates the last time that I installed any (major) updates was February 27th, 2009, and I don't believe that I've plugged my tablet in after that until the 3rd.

I just did a plain old save in powerpoint which saved my file as a .pptx, and for some reason this file does not associate itself with powerpoint. If I double click the .pptx file I get the "what program do you want to open with this" dialogue. I've tried browsing where it ought to live, and went as far as C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice121033 without ever finding the executable. As of now the only way I can actually open these files is by opening powerpoint, then selecting open file, and opening the .pptx program.

The machine will only boot XP, so I installed VPC 2007 on XP but when it try to open the virtual PC it hangs at the prompt that has to do with the network card. I see it display the MAC address in that DOS window, but it never goes any further.

I saw a post on here about Outlook 2007 causing WordPerfect X3 to crash. I had the same problem with WP X3 and Vista Business 32 bit. I upgraded to WP X4 and the problem continued. I did a clean install of Vista Business x64 and all programs. The problem continues. If I read e-mail in Outlook, WP becomes unstable and crashes if I open a new blank document or close the last open document.

Does the mails from the inbox, outbox and deleted items of my gmail get downloaded to my Hard Drive of computer running Outlook 2007? Does that mean I will have two copies of every thing one in the GMails Browser and another in my Hard Drive?

I just replaced my 10-year-old PC and am trying to install Office Home and Student 2007 on my new Vista 64 machine. Unfortunately, whether I use the autorun or manually double-click setup.exe on the disc, nothing happens. I get an hourglass briefly, the disc spins in the drive, and setup.exe appears in the task manager for about three seconds then disappears. Nothing else happens.
I've downloaded every available update from Microsoft. I'm logged in as an administrator, I've tried to right-click on setup.exe and select run as admin from there, I've tried changing compatibility mode to XP SP2, and nothing seems to work.
I've been searching online for awhile now and can't find anything with regard to this issue. Has anyone seen this before? Or, can anyone give me some suggestions? I didn't anticipate any problems because I read in many places that Office 2007 runs fine on Vista 64, so I uninstalled Works and the free 60-day Office trial from my new PC before I tried to install the full version of Office to avoid conflicts. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Word or Excel now, and it's going to be a problem.

Could I follow the tutorial doing the exact same steps to accomplish this?

I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for about two weeks everything was working fine. I have not change the way I used this program. I have used Microsoft Outlook 2002 for a few years so I had no real problems until recently. I save many of the e-mails I receive in either text or HTML format with no problem. When I save an e-mail now in
either text or HTML now, a folder is automatically created with the same name I have created the e-mail I have created. The e-mail which I save is not saved in the folder which automatically appears. What is in the folder are three files: colorschememapping, filelist, and themedata. If after I save the file then go back and delete the folder with the same name as the file, both the folder and the e-mail which I saved are
deleted. I do not know what is going on. Now my computer is getting filled up with e-mail messages I want to keep and folders that I really do not want. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I am aboutready to pull my hair out.

I just installed SP1 from technet recently, and decided to try my hand at virtualization for the first time today. Once Virtual PC 2007 is installed, my system BSoDs during every boot. The only way to gain access to windows is safe mode, or using the last known good state.
After using last known good state, VPC 2007 is installed, but won't work (as the drivers/services have been removed during install). I've uninstalled the remainder of VPC 2007 and rebooted; no problems. Tried again to installed VPC, and after reboot it once again BSoDs endlessly. So it stems the error is recreatable (at least on my machine).

I am using Windows 7 and every time I try to open Outlook 2007 (and sometimes some of the other office programs), it will only open up half way? Inasmuch as it opens to the full width from side to side but I always have to resize it for the height as in top to bottom. This has happened with a few programs but some of these seem to have sorted themselves out but most definately not Office 2007! It's really weird and I am getting fed up with having to keep opening the program up manually, to get it showing fully on the monitor. I don't like it opened maximised (as in no edges to the opened program) as I like it to show the edges, so that the transparency on the edges and rounded corners show when fully opened. It may be a bug but being a bit of a 'divvy' with things like this

I have 2 accounts on my laptop running Vista Home Premium and Office 2007. One for me and one for my wife. Currently she can't see any email received using my account. The goal is to see all email messages both for her and me. Data files were stored in different locations C:Users<me>...Outlook.pst and C:Users<wife>...Outlook.pst. Well we couldn't see inbox of each other while we are sharing the same email address. I wanted to add her data file to my Personal Folders and my data file to her respectively. When I try to add the data file I've got the error: "The file C:Users<wife>...Outlook .pst cannot be opened". I check that I do have Full permissions for this file.

The Office 2007 icon on my start menu inexplicably became nonfunctional this week. I'm running Vista Home Premium x32. I tried uninstalling Office 2007, but I get the message: "Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator." If I try to reinstall using the original disc, I get the message: "Setup has stopped working." I've tried to follow the instructions at 'How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us) for uninstalling without using the add/remove program, but I am unable to go to any "choose details" menu on the view tab ... it doesn't exist, so I can't continue the instructions from there. I don't have a second drive to try installing the disc from there. The disc is brand-new, not dirty or damaged. I've defragged the computer.
