I'll start by pointing out that I am by no means a rookie with computers. I've used and done troubleshooting on PCs for quite a while. Be that as it may, this issue is a new one to me and simply beyond me. Whenever I attempt to download a file via either of my internet browsers(IE/Firefox) the files simply vanish. I can watch the files download and observe the progress bar. I can even repeatedly select the un-finished files I'm downloading and check their properties and confirm the files are the same size as the progress bar indicates. However, the moment the download finishes, the files simply cease to exist. The icon vanishes from the destination directory. It does not appear in any other directory, and any uses of search of the entirety of the hard drive for the filename of the vanished file come up empty.
Perhaps even less sensible, repeated attempts to download the same file will sometimes result and a .part portion of the file remaining present in the destination, but any attempt to delete the file results in an error message telling me the file is not resent, verify the location and try again. Weird given that I can right click the .part and select delete or drag it into a recycling bin only to be told the file I just clicked isn't there. And a last note on the issue, is that I have managed to 'trick' the problem with a large file download on firefox by downloading it repeatedly and attempting to open a previous vanished download of the same file in the same destination as the current download reaches about a half-second from completion itself. Can't really explain how I am able to pull that one off.................
When i download Files using Firefox or IE once they have downloaded they vanish from the files i save them too. I cannot find them anywhere on the computer i have even tried opening the files rather than saving them using IE. still no luck it jsut wont open.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently encountered a situation where sent messages randomly are not put into the Sent Items folder of Windows Mail even though that option is checked in my Options settings. This problem never occurred until about two days ago. I have unchecked and rechecked this option and rebooted the PC, but no resolution.
As I said it occurs randomly, but more often than not. For example, I can send several test messages to the same receipient that correctly get put into the Sent Items folder, and then without changing any settings whatsoever one to the same receipient does not get placed there.
I can receive messages but I can not send. I've tryed everything but no result.

When trying to open or delete some messages in WM, I am receiving an error message telling me "an unexpected error has been encountered." The error message states that there is a problem with memory or the disk being full. My computer is fairly new so I can't imagine that I have even come close to filling my memory.

After going to the event view,I saw this regarding San Andreas. I know many have the cracked version of the game but I can assure you that my copy is 100% legit,I will post a pic just in case you want proof. I keep getting 42 messages trying to come through and they get stuck on message 28. I then get a message saying 'client connected' and I can never retrieve the other messages. I then cannot delete the first 27 messages. Do I have a virus or something or what is happening?

I turned off my antivurs program Avast to see if this helps. I also turned off "Defender" and any thing that looks like a firewall.But The problem persists. It works about 70% of the time. It is very unpredictable.
