Uninstalling Nero 7 : Nero 8 Installer Crashing
Mar 26, 2008I am trying to uninstall nero 7, so I can puy nero 8 on. The installer keep crashing and won't let me uninstall 7. If i try installing nero 8, it gets to the part where it tells me it has to uninstall 7 first and then stops. If I go through the uninstall programe it is gathering information and then tells me the uninstall has stopped working and is sending a report.

Mar 23, 2008I have created a movie using Windows Movie Maker. I am trying to burn this movie using Nero 6, so I can play the movie on a DVD player. I have tried various attempts and not getting anywhere. Need quick steps what I need to do to get the file to play on a DVD disk? In Nero, I am selecting Make Video CD option. I then Add the WMV File, which it analyzes and I select the DVD/RW...option (not Image Recorder). It then begins encoding but it then spits the DVD/RW disk out saying the compilation cannot be written to this type of disk.

Oct 17, 2009I have always been able to burn CDs without a problem. It had been a while but a few days ago i had tried to burn a CD with windows media player using MP3s from my hard drive. first the error with windows media player is that it begins to write all songs without analysing which it used to do, the burn rate literally increases every second however before ti used to take some time and stay a couple of seconds in each percentage. in the end all songs will fail to burn as soon as one or two fail all the others do at once. the red x error only says check the drive is connected and to check the cd is not damaged. non of theres erros could be so as i have used two different batches of CDs and the drive reads CDs and can clone CDs with nero still.
when trying to burn with nero the only error which comes up states that the burn failed. the log is very lengthy however. if i go to device manager the drivers are upto date. this is a very strange problem as nero is able to copy original CDs but however no files from hard drive can be written to a CD as an audio CD for some reason.

I've had the same Nero 7 now on 3 different computers. I got it FREE Nero 7 Premium a while back. (I don't remember why) but it is NOT illegal, it is not hacked with a keygen or something like that, that a free AV program would find as a false positive. It's just a normal Nero 7 Premium.
I've ran the same NOD32 on this computer for over a year now, with the same Nero 7 and never had a problem. but this morning I woke up to an Error, and a Virus Warning. Threat Detected in my Nero folders. something about cad/0060H795.cad or something like that.
It gave me the option to clean, and or delete. I cleaned it. But this is the first attack my current BIG RIG has ever had. So I just want to look into it to be safe.

May 3, 2008My PC came with Vista Home Premium 32bit. Since SP1 was released, I've tried several times to install it both through Windows Update and manually but it always fails.I looked at the information in the nowledgebase article about the error message I was getting and it suggested running a system scan utility through the command line interface which I did. The utility said that it fixed some files but I had corrupted files that it was not able to repair.I went out and bought an upgrade version of Vista Home Premium that contained SP1 thinking I could just upgrade it as a workaround. No dice,the upgrade option is disabled unless you already have SP1 installed. It will only let me do a clean install.This brings me to my first question. If I do the clean install, it's going to format my HD right? I'll have to reinstall all my software? My second question is, does anybody know how I can get SP1 to install on my current installation? Any way to find and repair those supposedly corrupt files?

Mar 23, 2008Running Vista Home Premium with an NVidia 8800 GTX video card. Have SP1 installed but do not have Acceleration. Trying to install SP2 but it won't install. I first tried clicking "Run", and then also tried downloading the patch to the desktop and then running, but it simply will not install...just cancels itself. I disabled McAfee VS before trying to install, but results still the same. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to get this to work? May 2, 2008I Just got a new computer and upon first turning it on my daughter accidentally hit the button on my power strip turning the computer off mid-installation. Now when I turn on my computer it looks as if windows is trying to start but goes to a message stating "Windows could not complete the installation. However, there were several issues with performance and finally late last year I gave up and went back to XP. Now that the SP1 is available, I want to go back and install Vista, but for some reason, my computer won't recognize the disc. It trys, but just can't load it. I've tried other DVDs and have burned a couple and they all work fine. For whatever reason, the problem is with the Vista DVD.
