ITunes Background Colour
Apr 7, 2010I hated the new colour scheme when iTunes 9 was released, with the harsh white background. Is there any way to change it back to the black/grey without installing anything????

Background Colour Will Not Print
Nov 23, 2008I am working on a TAFE project. The word document I have created has the page coloured, text and photos on it but when I print the page out the background colour will not print, everything else does.

Sep 21, 2009I have been using my Windows Mail for a little while now and am pretty much there in terms of understanding it. However, at work I use Outlook Express and there are a few things that I like from it that I am unsure whether Windows Mail has or if I am just not finding them. The main thing is:
I colour code messages (categorise them) by descriptions I have altered them to, for example, if I select pink, this is known as 'awaiting others actions' and if I select blue this is 'Needs further attention by me' or purple meaning 'completed'. Does Windows Mail have this option anywhere at all so that I can colour my inbox messages until I have dealt with them all fully. I would be greatful for any advice about this.
Start Up Graphics Glitch 4850: The Login Screen I Receive Small Blocks Of Colour That Do Not Match The Screens Intended Picture
Feb 14, 2009Error on startup. After a period of time. Having scoured several topics in relation to this issue, I am still none the wiser and like many pledging for some guidance, I thought it best to post here. Some quick Background Info;
I made this computer using my old Powersupply ( Jeantech 500W) and Harddrive. I had previously used the graphics card in my old setup and had no issues. This was XP, different motherboard, processor etc. I formatted the Harddrive and installed Windows 64bit and installed all the new parts. Drivers are all up to date except the motherboard. (Of which the CD couldn't be detected)
When I turn on my computer, at the login screen I receive small blocks of colour that do not match the screens intended picture. On the log in screen this is normally minimal, but on my main desktop this will nearly cover the screen intermitantly. Sounds bad? But it will either fix itself in time with the "Windows has recovered the driver Atiamtag" Or, I pop open the Chess program and on load up this clears the issue..........
OT - Windows 7: Fall Back To A "basic" Colour Scheme
Jul 29, 2009Why does Win 7 want to fall back to a "basic" colour scheme? When I start to watch an AVI file in Win Media player it almost immediately pops a message to say that perfromance is slow.... running low on mem for Aero...suggest I go to basic display Why would it do that? I have Win 7, a damn good sys - with 6Gb of mem. I did read that it caused some incompatability with progs - but I using an AVI in MS media player... so surely that should be compatible? I have breakdown of how file was encoded if people interested - but lets keep simple for now... Why would MS media player make Win7 do that?

Jul 29, 2009Everytime I try to add a digital copy of a dvd or blu ray into my iTunes it says I do not have the access privilages. I am the administrator and my computer is definately authorized with my iTunes. I emailed Apple, and the guy said it was probably a Vista issue, and was unable to help me. I have done the following:
*uninstalled the programs itunes and quicktime
*uninstalled the programs completely using Crogram files - the additional way of uninstalling.
* reinstalled/uninstalled both programs about 4 times
* reinstalled quicktime as a stand alone program
* used Windows installer clean up
I can't turn DEP off by selecting itunes and putting into the marked exception box because an error message tells me that itunes MUST operate with DEP. It will not drag it into the box.

Apr 25, 2010I have Vista Home Premium 64 Bit SP2 and cannot install iTunes.
Today I downloaded the newest version from Apple's web site. Installation proceeds normally for awhile then I get the error below (it appears in box labeled " iTunes + QuickTime".

UNKNOWNComponentsDA42BV89BF25F5BD0AF18C3B9B1A1EE87E577B2224C654E801A9E52375DB49. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
I navigated to the key (substituting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInstallerUserDataS-1-5-18 for UNKNOWN above) and found 3 instances of the key. 1 had data, 2 were empty. I deleted the 2 empty iterations. I had read about running regedit as an administrator and trying to change the permissions so that the owner was "adminstrators" instead of "system" but was unable to change the ownership (maybe because I have not uninstalled the older version of QuickTime that I used to get things working). Anyway I would like to install the 64 bit version of iTunes now but need to get past this problem. Additional info: I noticed that iTunes 64 bit selected as the install directory C:Program Files (x86) instead of C:Program Files. I have tried installing in each of these directories with the same results.
My system state is now that everything with iTunes in uninstalled with the exception of QuickTime 7.3.1 which I use to run a program that I use often.

Dec 17, 2008however i went to install Itunes 8 (64bit) and have this issue when i startup the program. I have all updated drivers, and no hardware conflicts presently that i'm aware of.. It's starting to get frustrating not being to update my phone/Ipod etc, so i'll paypal $20 to the first person that can provide me with a solution.

Mar 23, 2008I was ok for a a few hours, but something has caused my iTunes to stop operating properly. I can bring the app up. I can see the songs just fine. But, when I attempt to play them, nothing happens. They won't start. Either will a CD or a song sample at iTunes store, or a MySpace audio file, or my Band in a Box music software.
I keep getting a message that iTunes is NOT the default app for these files

Can't Open Itunes Folder
Apr 26, 2009I wanted to change my destination location for the "My Music" folder to be an external hard drive, since I am a professional musician and my music takes up a great deal of space. However, something strange has happened so I now cannot open my Itunes folder, and when I click on the "My Music" folder there is NOTHING--all of the tabs that had previously been there are gone, and it just has the general tab with o bytes. My music is still on the computer (I can find it under my name...music) but I cannot figure out how to restore the link from the "My Music" to this.

Background To Stop Or End
Mar 23, 2008Has anybody here used the program EndItAll 2 with Vista? I was thinking about installing it to end background tasks & such in order to play my games. Since Vista is such a resource hog, thought this might help with the performance of my game. Mar 18, 2009I have a problem with my machine running slower whenever I'm on the Web. Recently I discovered that it was because of one or perhaps 2 programs running in the background even after I close the programs. Last month, after performing a system cleanup with my antivirus and antispyware programs, I noticed that the cleanup process was running unusually slow. At some point, I activated RealPlayer and it wouldn't activate. I double-clicked the icon more than once, and it didn't run.
Out of curiosity, I decided to look at my Task Manager, and in the list of programs running under the 'Processes' tab, I noticed 'realplay.exe'. My RealPlayer program was still running in the background, even though I closed the program, and it was chewing up my resources and slowing down my machine. I stopped the process by hitting the 'End Process' button, and noticed that my machine was back up to normal speed. Once in a blue moon, I get the same problem with Mozilla Firefox, and I have to go into my Task Manager to stop that process to be able to run it again.
So far, RealPlayer and Firefox are the only 2 programs that run in the background even after I close them. How to I fix this problem so that I don't have to keep going into my Task Manager to shut down both programs if they continue to run in the background?
