Exporting Contacts List From Windows Mail
Mar 26, 2008I was recently switched to a new ISP (Comcast). I'm trying to figure out a way to copy my contact list from Windows Mail to the Comcast Webmail site. They have some help screens for moving it from Outlook Express by exporting the Address Book. I'm not seeing any options in Windows Mail to export contacts via a .cvs file. Is there a way to do it?

Jan 15, 2010that her Windows Mail is really strange. I can't help her because I don't use Windows Mail so I am asking on her behalf.
a) When she opens her Contact list , the names are in alphabetical order (which is expected) .However when she composes an email and clicks on the "To" button , the name list displayed is not in alphabetical order by name but strangely ordered by email addresses. Is there a way to rearrange to resort by names?
b) When she types a name in the Address area ie in the box next to "To" , another page opens for search. Is this normal ? With Outlook ( which she used to use until she changed to a new computer running Vista) when you type the name a list of potential email addresses appear. IS there a way to fix this?

Jun 17, 2009I am using Vista Home premium 32 bit and i am using windows mail for all my emails. I also have office 2007 with Microsoft Outlook.
Problem is that i want to use microsoft Outlook but i can't transfer/export my email accounts from Vista Windows mail to Microsoft Outlook or even outlook express for XP. I have forgotten 3 critical passwords so I cannot recreate the email accounts in Outlook....
How can I export my email accounts to microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express from Vista Windows mail?
Contact Group List: Don't Want To Type Each Name And E-mail Address
May 8, 2009I just got an e-mail with probably 50 e-mail addresses in the To list. I'd like to use to this list to create my own Contact List but don't want to have to type in each name and e-mail address. in WM is there anyway to copy a long list of addresses (located in the `To' section of a mail one receives) and somehow paste all of that into a new contact group list that I want to create?

Contact Folder: Windows Mail Doesn't Support Folders In The Contact Area
May 31, 2008I'm very disappointed that windows mail doesn't support folders in the contact area. I hope some one from Microsoft see this and they reconsider putting a update to re add this feature. I just got this computer and already I want to send it back. I really need folders to keep my contacts sorted. Either add the option or let me download the old Outlook to install. And buying Office outlook is not a option.
