Deleted Files Not Shown In Recycle Bin
Jun 22, 2008When i delete files and pictures to my recycle bin, it never shows anything in there but its thereb to empty it, how can i change settings to show files that i put into bin.

Oct 8, 2008I have just bought a new pc with Vista Home Premium x64. Problem is that the recycle bin won't show deleted items. The bin just looks empty. If I click on empty recycle bin it prompts me if I want to delete these 16 (or whatever number) items, so they must be there but will not display. I have tried displaying hidden files and checked in recycle bin properties that files are not deleted rather than placed in the bin to no avail. If I click restore items nothing happens.

Mar 5, 2009I am puzzled. The Indexed locations shown when I press the show all locations button are Microsoft Outlook Start Menu and Users. Only Microsoft Outlook is checked. I was trying out the search facility above the start button on Vista to look for a program and was very surprised when up popped a selection of files that are stored on an external hard drive that I use from time to time as a secondary backup. The files shown have not been accessed recently and at the time of the search the external drive was not connected. Hovering the cursor over the files told me that they were located on this external drive. why these files would have shown up on the search as I have not chosen to have the external drive indexed?

When I delete something from the recycle bin it is gone forever. -THINK AGAIN- I deleted somthing from the recycle bin and got it back a few days later...I also found a ton so stuff I was told was "deleted" forever by Windows.
