Cannot Find Icon To Change Single Photo Viewing To Full Screen
Feb 16, 2009I cannot find an icon to change my single photo viewing to full screen. Is this another Vista "oops"? Do you have a solution?

Recycle Bin Icon Doesn't Change To Full After Deleting Items
Jul 11, 2009When you dump things in your recycle the icon changes to a pic of a full bin (as we all know) well mine doesnt , not until after a reeboot then it shows as having contents.
if i put something in my bin now , it will go into the bin , i can open the bin and its there to be recycled but the icon wont change , if i dont empty the bin upon next reboot the bin will show as having contents so im assuming its not the icon cache thats screwed up (i have rebuilt it just incase and ive checked the correct icons are selected)...
Photo Viewing Failure
Mar 23, 2008I used whatever the default program was in XP to view (not edit) photos and it was great! I am having a terrible time in coming up with the same program in Vista.

I have been unable to view these. Seems like there isn't an application on the new machine that will open the files in photo parade format.

Nov 29, 2009I'm just trying to get used to this windows mail. When i try to send an e mail with a few photos attatched. As well as the photo id showing under the subject bar the photos are being shown within the viewing pain way over sized so when i try to send the photos they are holding too much info for receiving address to accept so the e mail is bouncing back. Mar 23, 2008I purchase a new PC with Vista Home Premium from BestBuy and had them install a graphics card. Well, evidently, they did the basic boot up and check up stuff. Now, everytime I install new software, the software grabs my name suggestion as being "owner" and my company "Hewlett Packard". Microsoft Office, Visual Studio 2008, everything. Of course, all I have to do is type in my correct name, but it is very aggravating. The name on my user account is "Bill" (I changed it when I got the computer home) but I cannot find where to change my default full name and company. It is NOT in Control Panel > User Accounts. Seems like this was easy to do in XP.

Jun 7, 2008On vista though you can't run dos in full screen So I really wanted to load a version of Windows 98 on to a new partition on my new computer. I created a new partition and a windows 98 startup cd and re started the computer. I ran fdisk and set the new partition active and attempted to load Win98. For some reason unknown to me 98 wouldn't install properly so I gave up. I restarted and deleted the partition through fdisk. I then set the Vista partiton active and now the computer won't load vista at all, only a black screen with a flashing cursor.

Feb 25, 2009When I open up my computer one of the drive letters (E in the right pane has a 3DHA (3D Home Architect) icon in place of what should be a regular drive icon. I guess when I was test installing 3DHA, it somehow messed up that drive icon, though I have no idea why, but their web site offers no help. I've since removed the software but nothing I've tried will allow me to change the icon back to a regular drive icon. I prefer not to download a 3rd party program unless I have to. I've come across a few sites that offered some tips but everthing I've tried only changes the icon in the left pane. In fact the properties for the drive letter in the right pane don't even have a change icon button, anywhere.

Mar 2, 2009After completing a system recovery, I am unable to get a sharp full screen picture any more. I have a 20" lcd and the best I can do is about 8" before it starts to pixilate.
To get widescreen I have to zoom and that makes it even worse. I have an nvidia geforce 6150se card, and the tv card is a haupauge wintv hvr-1600, vista home premium ,computer is an HP pavilion m8000n.
I have downloaded all updates I can find but to no avail. The sample movies that come with media will not play any better. Can someone help. Miss my pc/vcr.
Full Screen Applications
Jun 6, 2009Any application like a game or a presentation wont use the entire monitor! It centers itself into a square and leaves a huge gap on each side. I cant take a screenshot so I will try to draw an example. Imagine the white is the application and the picture is my entire monitor. I dont know what else to do. I've updated the drivers and nothing seems to work! It's a HP Compaq 6710b, I haven't changed any display hardware. I've changed the RAM that's it.

No Full Screen On HDMI To TV
May 20, 2008I do not get the full screen output on my TV when connected via HDMI. This is very frustrating. The TV itself works fine in full screen (1080p, 720p, 480p, etc). I DO get full screen output on any Linux o/s I test it with, via hdmi. However, I prefer to use Vista instead in order to use MCE and the plugins I have (Netflix, Joost, etc plus MCE remote). I duplicatedt this before and after upgrading to Vista SP1. I've duplicated this with many WHQL certified NVidia drivers as well. Literally at least 5-10 different driver versions for my 8400M GT card.
I cannot figure out why it is not showing full screen output, but I can confirm this happens in Vista only, not Linux (did not and will not test in XP). My index score in Vista is 5.0. It was actually 5.3 at one time, then dropped to 5.1 and 5.0 over few months span...........
