I send out email to a number of lists and I use Bcc to hide all of the addresses. Trouble is, I can't find Bcc in Windows Mail. Is it there and if so where is it?

Jun 24, 2008i got a new pc at work and not knowing what winmail was (outlook replacement) deleted everything that pertained to it. now i cant set it up and i need it. all my other coworkers use outlook so it would make it easier on me if i had it to. at first i tried to set it up but didnt know how to find the info on my mail server so i hit anything i could to get out of it. We have a mail service through a site called Proapp. how i can fix this or have i done something irreversible?

Mar 23, 2008I recently upgraded to VISTA and discovered I didn't like Windows Mail because of the way the autofill thing works for the addresses. So, someone in this group told me to upgrade to Windows Live Mail. I did that and so far have been very happy with it. Except that, I can't find new stationery for the program. I love using cloudeight stationery and it was working on the windows mail, but not on windows live mail. I emailed and asked them about this and the following is their reply to me. Is this true? Is Windows Live Mail really Hotmail? I look forward to hearing back from someone about this.

Jun 5, 2008When I first start Vista mail a popup asks me if I want to find my connection on this phone number or should it dial another number. When I click on newsgroups I get the same message and have to answer and when I click back to my inbox I get the popup question again and I have to click it repeatedly. It asks if it should dial another connection that is no longer on the computer. How can I kill this damned message? I switched to Live Mail but it does the same thing with that so I'm back with mail.

Mar 31, 2009My computer crashed and I currently have my hard drive set up externally to copy the information off of it onto another computer. I was using Windows Mail that came with Vista on my old computer when it crashed. I've been able to salvage my data, but would like to find my messages stored in my Inbox in Windows Mail. I cannot open the program (Windows Mail) currently, but will be able to open it when my new computer arrives. For now, I'm copying needed files off my hard drive and storing them temporarily on my children's computer. I do not know what folders from Windows Mail, or Windows perhaps, that I need to save in order to hopefully open my saved inbox messages.

And it says to set it up but i dont know what the incoming e-mail server type is. And dont know what IMAP or POP3 is and what goes in there for the incoming mail server. As well as the outgoing e-mail server name (SMTP) I'm so clueless and usually confused when it comes to technical stuff on cumputers.

Mar 23, 2008I have a simple text file with a certain word in it. I try to find this text file, but vista won't find it. Windows 2000, linked by network, finds it within a second.
I have tried all available options.
"include non-indexed"
"always search file names and contents"
"find partial matches"
"include subfolders"
etc
etc
It just doesn't work. Why is there not a simple search function that actually works like in windows2000? I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit. But not having a working search function doesn't look that "ultimate" to me.

In the good old Outlook Express Address Book, I could open a Contact and in the "Other" tab, I could see a list of all the Groups that the person belongs to. In Windows Mail Contacts. I successfully imported all my Contacts and Groups. But is there a way to find out which Groups a person belongs to? It's too time consuming to manually search through each of my 20 groups. The Help section claims that Windows Mail has all the features of Outlook Express. but the list of Groups a person belongs to is obviously
missing. show me that I can display a list of Groups for each person. I rely heavily on Groups. Just for example, if I have multiple entries for the same person (with different email addresses), I can tell which one is the most current by looking at which email address is part of a recently set up Group.
Unable To Open Attachments In Windows Mail: Windows Cannot Find File Name
Jul 29, 2009There are discussions on this general subject but no aparent resolution. About two months ago I was sometimes prevented from opening photo attachments on some emails received from the same party and sometimes could open them. By this I mean, I would click on the paperclip where a list of photos would appear and I'd click on on photo and I'd get a message saying: "Windows cannot find file name (photo captions used by sender).jpg. Make sure your typed the name correctly and then try again." Well, of course I didn't type the file name; the sender did. I could click on the save attachments, and once saved to a folder I could open them from the folder. I forwarded the mail to others, and they report no problems in viewing the photos. I can also view the photos in the email itself, but it would be necessary to scan up and down and from left to right to view the whold photo and the caption would not appear.

Feb 7, 2009I have a problem that everytime when I open a folder with mpeg-file the windows gives an error message about that host process stopped (rundll32) so it seems that I have an error with codec lmpgspl.ax. This problem started when I downloaded the ACE Mega Codecs pack and I have HP lap top. The update from HP website didnīt work.
I have read through the threads about this problem and it seems that the solution is to rename the file, because I wasnīt able to unregister the file. Problem is that I canīt find the file from my computer. I have changed the option from control panel to show all the hidden files, but still my searches are without results. In one post Malke recommended to find the dll-file from system32, but I only find rundll32.exe, but I havenīt had the guts to rename that file because I believe that is the wrong one.
I have already tried all the other solutions that windows and many others have posted on these forums, but really donno what to do.
Cant Find Cd/dvd Drive
Feb 26, 2010I have a Toshiba Satellite A215 laptop with FUJITSU MHY2250BH ATA device disc drive. When I go to 'My computer' the drive is there, as soon as I enter a game or a cd of any kind into the drive there is no auto play and the disc drive disappears completely from 'My Computer' I went to device manager and it is there, said its working properly. I tried to update drivers and it all up to date.
