Installed Os Registry Patch Manually Copy
Mar 23, 2008I'm having trouble enabling AHCI under Windows Vista Business x64. I initially installed the OS with AHCI enabled in the BIOS, but I receive stop code 7B upon reboot. The only way to get the OS to boot is to disable AHCI in the BIOS. The last time I installed the OS, I was able to apply a registry patch and manually copy IaStor.sys (from the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver) into the WindowsSystem32drivers folder. This would allow me to boot and run the system with AHCI enabled, and utilize the Intel Turbo Memory flash cache module I installed. I also made sure that Msahci.sys was set to start on boot as per the instructions at
Now, for some reason, this procedure no longer works. I still receive stop code 7B upon reboot. (Note that I am not able to install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver or the Intel Turbo Memory driver until after AHCI is working. Attempting to do so results in an error message that my system "does not meet the minimum requirements".)I'm trying this on a Dell Vostro 1500 with a PM965 chipset and ICH8 I/O controller hub. Jun 21, 2009I wonder if someone could recommend some software that would be good for administering remote machines. I would like to be able to do the following ... Add/remove user accounts Reset passwords Monitor the user (preferably without alerting them) Edit the registry View, Stop, Restart and disable services. Get information such as time of boot for example. I can do all of the following already using SSH, MMC and remote registry but I would like a GUI and to have them all in one piece of software. I have used LogMeIn IT Reach which was good but I would like alternatives.

Win 7 compatible - have used this and deleted all 1200 entries it found. It makes a backup - been running for several hours and reboots with no probs. Also working fine so far on my Vista x64 and Win 7 x86 installs. After cleaning you need to shut the app. and reopen it for it to find it's backups. (Easy to find them by hand - it can compress them to.7z files, too ). Have used their regdefrag a lot - identical scans and results to the Auslogics and Glary versions- so use whichever defragger you already have. WARNING: not recommended to defrag registry across drives.

Nov 13, 2009I am using this program to clean up my registry and it seems to work fine except the errors keep coming back. I can do a scan, clean up all the errors and then shut down and start up and I have a new 20 registry error list and most or all of the errors relate to "bad path for the value" and its windows files that seem to be at fault. I don't understand why Microsoft operating system would create registry errors on a startup, before anything has been installed etc. is RegistryBooster misleading me or what. I am running win7 but it did the same thing on vista home premium so I think the question is valid for this group.

Dec 10, 2007I can install CoH from my DVD no problem. The game works. When I try to patch it, the game becomes corrupt. I can get patch 1.40 to install, after that it is a no go. I am completely frustrated. I must be having a hardware conflict or a corrupt install disc. I do a selective startup with only Windows services running. Each an every time I get this error message involving this file "ww2data.sga" and this code: Error 10104. Anyone else on Vista 64 experiencing this problem? Aug 24, 2008After installing the patch the singleplayer is fine but it seems multiplayer is broken. If I start a server it loads the map but locks up straight away, also looks as though it's missing textures(random black spots) It even crashes from menus if I try and change my character as its also missing textures (all black) Ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling etc. Latest Catalyst drivers, card is a 4870. Running as admin, compatability mode etc make no difference, weird as it works fine with no patch, unfortuantely all the servers require 1.42.

Mouse Not Recognized After Reboot Following The 04/08 Patch
Apr 9, 2008I have a new system that has been working flawlessly til this patch. vista64 home premium, and the offending device is a microsoft usb wheelmouse optical.Now when ever I reboot it says new hardware found and driver instillation failed. I downloaded and installed intellipoint 6.1 for 64bit. and device manager shows no conflict and if i just clear out of the error boxes it works fine. Just everytime I reboot it does same thing again. It in fact, it cannot even recognize the device it is trying to install drivers for which is why i think it fails the driver update on reboot. I found out the hard way by telling vista to ignore the problem and it promptly disconnected the mouse altogether. I tried restoring to a point before the patch but it did not fix
the problem. One of the patches warned that it cannot be removed , so my guess is that is what is causing the problem.

Who wants to be distributing patches during the annual holiday party (assuming your company has one and it's no wake for those employees surviving layoffs)? For some consumers, that patch didn't come soon enough; they've been exploited already...........

Mar 29, 2008At work I got a new computer with Window Vista, this was connected to the server but it simple does not respond whenever I try to get any data or move a file from the server to the vista computer. Dell sent a new computer, furthermore many IT personnel from the place that I work had check the computer and all got to the answer that is a Vista problem. I was given a patch KB Article Number(s): 931770, which does not work, as it says that the file is corrupted. Does anyone now how to solve this problem. Does anyone know how I can return Window Vista to microsoft and get XP back.

Dual Boot And XP:stuck With The Windows Vista Boot Loader
Mar 23, 2008I have windows xp installed right now and I dual booted with vista by re-partitioning my hard drive. After encountering problems with vista I delted the vista partition and resized the xp partition back to it's original size. I am now stuck with the windows vista boot loader which persistantly telling me that the windows vista files are not present etc. etc. Is there any way that I can delted the vista bootloader and go back to using the xp bootloader?
