Jun 20, 2009I use MS Paint a lot. All of a sudden the Text Toolbar has disappeared. Yes, even when I am entering text and the tool is ticked in View-tab. What has happened,

MS Paint Text Function Grayed Out
Apr 22, 2008MS Vista Home Premium I am trying to use MS paint and the 'A' tool on the tool bar is grayed out and not clickable. Do I have to pay to use this tool? Also if I go to view the 'Text Toolbar' option is checked but again it is grayed out. I am no expert on windows but I thought paint was included with the OS. PS Don't bother telling me that some other program is better, I just need to plan my flower garden and MS paint is fine for that.

I HATE the ribbons, period? I LOVED the nice, neat, useful, and tiny toolbars I created and edited in the 2003 programs and this 'RIBBON' thing is the most obnoxious thing ever! I REALLY fell bad for those laptop dudes and dudettes, especially the 15" (or smaller) screens. I have a nice, new, big 19" and I find the useless and extravagant space requirements for the "Ribbon" (who came up with that one, anyway?) EXTREMELY ANNOYING..............

Mar 12, 2009I've had this Vista with PSP10, storing all my graphic tubes on an external hard drive. I installed PSPX2, and now not all my graphics
show up in VIsta. They do in PSP, but I need to be able to view them in a window environment, etc. to move around and other things. It's only one type of file I cannot see, and that is any with a .psp extension, i.e., .psp, .pspimage, .psptub, etc. I can view my jpgs fine and gif's fine, and all other graphics I have on the external. It all worked wonderfully with psp10, no problems.
Paint Dpi: Image Not Hold Up
Mar 23, 2008I like the simplicity of Paint, even with it`s limitations. But the one draw back that is really frustrating is its low dpi resolution. When I try to print image on to a larger format, usually paper poster, the image just does not hold up. The pixel becomes distorted and image is unrecognizable. I want to be able print my drawings on to much larger mediums. Whats the solution? Is there an upgrade version of Paint. Or can anybody give me an other solution. I already know about Photoshop, Corel etc...but I am a simple illustrator.

May 1, 2009With IE 8 and Google Toolbar. I installed IE 8 for Vista 64 Bit. When I installed the Google Toolbar, it showed up at the installment, but then when I relaunched IE 8 Google toolbar was not there. It also was not in the "Add Ons". But was in my Programs. I uninstalled and reinstalled two more times and it will not show up in IE 8. I had MSN as my home page , so I had to change the home page to Google in order to have my mail. I have gmail. However, today I was wasting time playing Sid Meiers Railroads and the game crashed. After the crash the bar at the top of my computer screen was missing. It was like this tool/task bar(this one isn't specifically mine): It has Categories and the recycle bin in it. Can someone explain how I can get the toolbar back. Mar 9, 2010I can do a ctrl+alt+delete and bring up the task manager and kill the process BUT my desktop has lost the task bar and starting orb. Moving the mouse top or bottom or to either side does not 'unhide' the toolbar so that I can access my USB drive with rkill.com (a process to kill this malware) on it. Have tried booting into Safe Mode and the viral program appears there also, but once again cannot access the Start Orb or Task bar. I have no knowledge of any 'DOS' commands should I be able to go to safe mode with cmd prompt. Using Vista Home Premium.

Feb 25, 2007I have added a directory to the toolbar as you can see from image one. Now i can re-organise them such as in image 2, but as soon as i restart, the files sort to alphabetical. I've been using Vista since the public beta's and not experienced the problem until i just reinstalled last week.

It's not a huge problem, but i found it very annoying when i am working and need to bring up something quickly while the screen is filled with 100 windows.
Comodo/ Hopsurf Toolbar
Nov 18, 2009When I first got my new Sony Vaio model VGN-NS30E, I installed Comodo Security Suite. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I wasn't happy with it and tried to uninstall it. I now run AVG free edition, and Windows firewall. I also now use Firefox browser, and am happy with my set up. I don't really like internet explorer, so don't use it. Unable To Look At Certain Aspects Of Toolbar
Jun 7, 2008i have been unable to look at certain aspects of my toolbar. everytime i pass over my clock, battery meter or network status bar and try to preview them, windows explorer shuts down and has to restart. ive run numerous system restores and they all have failed, as well as security sweeps and nothing seems to be able to find the problem.

Sep 18, 2008For toolbars started in the Vista taskbar, how do you remove the Title? The option doesn't seem to exist any longer.
i.e. under older windows you could:
If you add one or two toolbars to your Windows taskbar, regain some space. Right-click on your created taskbar and on the popup menu that appears, uncheck "Show Title." This removes the title description for your taskbar. If you know the programs on the taskbar by their icon and don't need to see the names of the programs, uncheck "Show Text" as well.
Does this no longer exist in Vista and that I can no longer reclaim the space?
