How Can Autocomplete For Signin Gmail
Oct 7, 2009When I signed up for Gmail I had the option to choose AutoComplete for the sigin but did not choose it. How can I now choose AutoComplete for signin from my computer?

User Account & Signin Name Different?
Jan 27, 2010I am giving my computer to a friend and am trying to clean it up for her. I added she and her husband as administrators and then deleted my account. But when I restart the computer I get a notice that the name is not the correct one. I change the user, but I end up having to click on my name which is still there, and entering my password. Then I see two of each of our icons. I can then click on another person. I went into the system and checked and it shows only the other two people as administrators and does not show my name.

Apr 7, 2009I have been using MS Office Word 2007 for several years, but recently upgraded from Vista Ultimate-32 bit to Vista Ultimate-64 bit. Before this upgrade (and through no effort on my part), when I would begin to type either the name of a day or a month, I would get an automatic "tip" that would finish the word by pressing "Enter". This autocomplete function, which was very useful, no longer seems to be working since the upgrade. I checked Word Help, and it claims that "AutoComplete is still available for the current system date, months, and days of the week."

Mar 23, 2008When sending an e-mail in WM I begin entering an e-mail address in the To box that should autocomplete. I've got autocomplete set. But it does not. I imported my address book from Outlook Express. I've Google'd around for help with this and see lots of complaints but no mention of fixes. I realize this problem much have been posted to this group many times. But it is not showing up in any of the postings that I can currently view and I am new to the group.Hope someone knows of a fix.

Dec 5, 2008I got my new Dell XPS M1530 yesterday which came with Vista and was really excited to use it untill I was forced to switch my mail from Gmail to Yahoo by Vista, indirectly ofcourse.The problem is that 98% of the times when I try to send mails from my Gmail account (I use it from the browser itself and not windows mail), it gives me a #008 error. Vista is also not letting me open a few other webpages that I am able to in XP. Mostly the pages are the secure ones.It came with McAfee, so being a non techie guy I thought that it must be the one to blame so I uninstalled it and installed my loved AVG. But the error persists.The thing to be noted is that I am able to login, receive, read and do everything else with Gmail except sending mails.
The remedies I have tried so far:
1. Use another browser (FF and Chrome)
2. Remove/ deactivate firewalls, email scanners.
3. Use Gmails Secure mode (https://mail.google.com)
4. Putting all security settings in IE7 to "Low" allowing everything.
I apologize for such a long post but this appears to be a common problem with Gmail in Vista or you can say Vista with Gmail and there is no proper solution availabe for it in the net or with the two giants themselves as far as I know.
Keeps Asking For Gmail Username And Password
Jun 3, 2008My windows mail was working fine. Now it keeps asking for my username and password. I know it is correct and when I enter it, it asks for it again. If I press cancel it gives me this error.

Gmail: Application Freeze
Jan 10, 2009I recently bought a system running Vista. My Gmail was running fine for a while, but here's the deal: If I have Gmail open in a tab, and it sits idle for awhile, the application appears to freeze. Not only does it freeze (blank screen when I activate the tab), but it "freezes" my whole IE7 (cannot access any other tabs, no tool bar functions, etc.) I have to abort my whole IE7 through task manager. I've started opening Gmail in a separate browser to avoid this, but I still freeze in that browser window and have to abort with Task manager. Anyone else having this problem? It only happens with Gmail, everything else works fine.

Gmail's IMAP Not Configured
May 26, 2008I am using Windows Mail with Gmail's IMAP configured. I've configured it in Windows Mail as per the directions in the Gmail web site. Regardless, I get this error message every time I try to check my Gmail:

When I send an email, a copy of the email that I sent is stored in the Sent Items in my local folders and on the Gmail server. May 15, 2010my Gmail account has been comprimised yesterday They have changed the secondary email so I cannot just reset the password I have tried to fill out the form to regain control over your account but they declined to give me my account.
