I've downloaded several stationaries from the Window's site. It's taken me forever to find where Vista downloaded them. Why can't I choose where the files are downloaded? It gave me no option to do this.
View 4 RepliesI noticed that weeks ago I could simply click at a site with an MPEG file and view it without having to download it. Now I am forced (at least at one site) to download it. What can I change of anything to have Vista automatically open it and view it from the remote site.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my windows vista (ultimate x64).It crashes in BSoD every time I try to download one or more large files at once (>=100Mb), or when I surf on many internet pages at once (e.g. when I start Opera and it opens 10 tabs simultaneously). I hope it's not due to my hardware, since it's a new computer, but I had another o/s before (XP) on the same computer, and it didn't crash.I hope you guys can save me =)

View 9 Replies View Relatedlooking for someone that can supply me with information on how to download email, christmas email etc. It appears to load but it goes into my downloads instead of my email stationary and when I click on that icon nothing appears except it wants to download again. A site named "Thundercloud" has instructions they say will allow you to send etc. If I read the instructions correctly it should work for Vista and my winmail.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I changed over to windows mail Imported along with many things my stationary. One item I cant do without is my footer showing cthe usual "if you recieved this email in error" and all my business contact details including my VAT number. I have by mistake deleted it and want to create a new footer template so with 1 click i can go to it. I have spent hours trying to create a new stationary or edit an existing one. with no luck. The repetative warning message comes up "this file does not have an association with it to perform this action. Create an association in the set association control panel. Does anyone know where this is and how to set it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedBoth apart is quite straightforwad. Go to Options and select which you desire. But I am NOT able to achieve both. Tried two approaches: First I made a BMP-file with my signature and logo and used the stationary wizard to put that on left bottom of my messages. In the wizard I can also change the font and size. Easily done. But ... when I compose a mail the bitmap doesn't go down with the text which makes this approach quite useless.
Secondly I made a HTM-document with Word and again placed my signature and logo on the bottom. In Mail itself I tell to use font Calibri 12. The HTML-text scrolls nicely down when I compose a mail but it KEEPS typing in dull times New Roman 12. The 2nd approach is closest to what I desire apart from the font. Maybe there is a 3rd approach which I haven't found. Maybe there is a simple solution.

The real difference is only the CPU and RAM size.
I'm trying to use a VPN connection and it works fine if I'm using my wired connection, however if I'm on my wireless network at home, the VPN connection does not work unless I disable the ethernet card.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled, cleaned all drivers both for my screen and video card, nothing works. When I have uninstalled my grapich card i can choose higher res, but when I reinstall it, it will set back to 1024x768.
I have looked all over but cant find anyone with the same problem..........
how come i cannot choose recipients when sending emails. it has happened before and i uninstalled an update (can't remember the update ). however, that update is not installed and now i cannot choose recipients, nor can i add a new contact to my contacts folder.

Which one should I use, the Audigy 2 ZS (and alchemy for EAX support) or the onboard (will I still have non-EAX surround in older games, and will it use too much my CPU for video editing?)...
I have single user, home computer running Vista Home Premium (32 Bit). My e-mail usage level is fairly low. (About 15 - 20 per day.) Right now, I have two e-mail systems on my machine namely Windows Mail and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. I am looking for advice on which one to use. Windows Mail appears to be the simpler one and would satisfy my requirements but I do not wish to use it if it is likely to be discontinued in the near future.

I bought a pc in germany and the start up failed i got an error message in an endless loop i got it to start with the recovery disc but that has set it to German and i cant change it. I am unable to choose a recipient from Outlook 2007 Contacts correctly to use in Windows Fax & Scan. When I click on the To: Button in Windows Fax & Scan I only get three columns shown. Name, Display Name and E-mail Address. If the intended recipient does not have an email adress their name does not appear. What am I setting up incorrectly. I can not see an option in Windows Fax & Scan. Is it a Outlook setting.

I was informed to re install Vista, and that all my information will be lost.
When i did this, i did not reformat the drive, so it saved all the other stuff in a folder titlled windows.old.

The problem is that the folder customization / layout never stays the way you set it, even minutes later after closing/re-opening explorer. This is driving me insane. For example, in explorer under Computer I choose large icons. Close, re-open its back to list view instead. Sometimes other folders will somehow change views by themselves too. This is really annoying.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot download anything. everything looks to download correctly but the files are not to be found afterwards. the dialog box for "firefox downloads" has OPEN and OPEN CONTAINING FOLDER greyed out. last night i went into safe mode and ran avg, No virius found. went into IE and checked if downloads were disabled, they were not. I empied the private data in firefox, and ran disk clean up. even went as far as uninstalling firefox and checked the box to remove all user info (Lost all my bookmarks). nothing I have read about this problem has worked. please help. I cant even get pdf files, programs, pics, mp3. nothing at all comes through.

What ever I am downloading starts out ok and looks like it is going to finish the job. Suddenly the downloading stops never to go again. Sometimes it shows 20% has downloaded and may even reach 80% and then stop dead.

A window pops up -It says recieving-then before it actually gets them it disconnects and there is nothing new since the 3rd of May. I haven't done anything new as far as I remeber.
