looking for someone that can supply me with information on how to download email, christmas email etc. It appears to load but it goes into my downloads instead of my email stationary and when I click on that icon nothing appears except it wants to download again. A site named "Thundercloud" has instructions they say will allow you to send etc. If I read the instructions correctly it should work for Vista and my winmail.

I've downloaded several stationaries from the Window's site. It's taken me forever to find where Vista downloaded them. Why can't I choose where the files are downloaded? It gave me no option to do this.

I have had trouble with the Sky email log in passwords but now it seems to accept the one I have first time. One item I cant do without is my footer showing cthe usual "if you recieved this email in error" and all my business contact details including my VAT number. I have by mistake deleted it and want to create a new footer template so with 1 click i can go to it. I have spent hours trying to create a new stationary or edit an existing one. with no luck. The repetative warning message comes up "this file does not have an association with it to perform this action. Create an association in the set association control panel. This is the error message when i go in to windows mail. I have had my laptop and norton antivirus the same for the past year and last week I started getting this message. I have two other pc's in the house and everything is fine on those to access my mail. I have deleted the account and tried to reconfigure it but it is still the same.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBoth apart is quite straightforwad. Go to Options and select which you desire. But I am NOT able to achieve both. Tried two approaches: First I made a BMP-file with my signature and logo and used the stationary wizard to put that on left bottom of my messages. In the wizard I can also change the font and size. Easily done. But ... when I compose a mail the bitmap doesn't go down with the text which makes this approach quite useless.
Secondly I made a HTM-document with Word and again placed my signature and logo on the bottom. In Mail itself I tell to use font Calibri 12. The HTML-text scrolls nicely down when I compose a mail but it KEEPS typing in dull times New Roman 12. The 2nd approach is closest to what I desire apart from the font. Maybe there is a 3rd approach which I haven't found. Maybe there is a simple solution.
I have Vista Ultimate 64, sometimes when I am downloading a large file download does not finish and I get an error box that the download had timed out. How can I stop this, the sites where is happens do no support resuming and I only have a slow connection.

Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem. I cant adjust my spam filters cause sometimes theres important emails which get IDd as SPAM by accident. Is there anyway to fix this?

However the folder for email is now on his desktop, and is called Old Email backup. I know that one of these days he is going to delete it and wonder where his email went. Control panel default settings will not allow option to disable Windows Mail. (grayed out). Register Hotmail software says only Vista but I am using Vista. But if I do a select all the blank space turns blue as if something is there. When I get mail from ex. USAJobs, the entire body of the email is blank. Some others the text directing me to "having trouble viewing this email click here" and then it takes me to their website. I have the block pics box unchecked and I am running vista with PCTools Spyware doctor. Also email from friends and family the pictures show up with no problems. That the second one would catch things that the first one might miss. So I'm gathering that this isn't true? I did look on the Kaspersky web page last night as I saw it listed on another firewall question and thought it looked pretty good. So which is better? Kaspersky Internet Suite, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, or this AVG one. I do want to purchase the whole program as the free trials only last for 30 days.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe version of Vista I use, running IE7, cannot download .exes. My XP computers, running IEs 7 and 8, and once 6, have never been so irritating. (i'd say my faith in vista is dwindling, but it was never there to begin with.) I've tries to download many a .exe. This time, for reference, it's Ventrilo. Certainly not a shady program - trusted by supposed millions. When prompted, if I click Run, the file appears to download, but when it has finished, the dialog box disappears and nothing else appears.Ever.

There is no error message. There is no message of any sort. Repeated attempts to download do nothing. Renaming the download to .ok, or some other name (in anticipation of renaming it to .exe once downloaded), as suggested in a previous thread, does not work. I have tried temporarily turning off certain securities, to no avail.
