I have just moved to Sky broadband, and got a new PC at the same time. I have had trouble with the Sky email log in passwords but now it seems to accept the one I have first time. I am trying to get my Vista email to accept the Sky email address but when it ask me for the password and username, it keeps rejecting it. Sky dont want to know as its Windows Vista email

looking for someone that can supply me with information on how to download email, christmas email etc. It appears to load but it goes into my downloads instead of my email stationary and when I click on that icon nothing appears except it wants to download again. A site named "Thundercloud" has instructions they say will allow you to send etc. If I read the instructions correctly it should work for Vista and my winmail.

This is the error message when i go in to windows mail. I have had my laptop and norton antivirus the same for the past year and last week I started getting this message. I have two other pc's in the house and everything is fine on those to access my mail. I have deleted the account and tried to reconfigure it but it is still the same.

I did look on the Kaspersky web page last night as I saw it listed on another firewall question and thought it looked pretty good. So which is better? View 9 Replies View RelatedThe version of Vista I use, running IE7, cannot download .exes. My XP computers, running IEs 7 and 8, and once 6, have never been so irritating. (i'd say my faith in vista is dwindling, but it was never there to begin with.) I've tries to download many a .exe. This time, for reference, it's Ventrilo. Certainly not a shady program - trusted by supposed millions. When prompted, if I click Run, the file appears to download, but when it has finished, the dialog box disappears and nothing else appears.Ever.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. Windows Updates wants me install Service Pack 1.
1) I am up-to-date with Windows Updates, so do I really need the Service Pack?
2) Also, isn't it just going to take up unnecessary hard drive space since most of the fixes in SP1 were already downloaded by Windows Updates?
3) Does SP1 automatically not install whatever is already on the computer?

I now have a brand new HP m9100z and can not get email to work at all. My other machine is an HP s3123w aka "slimline". Both run windows vista home premium. On the slimline, email works just fine. On the new machine, nadda. Zip, zero. Can not get email to work using any client I have.
Thunderbird, windows mail, forte agent, all say "login failed". Even though both machines are setup exactly the same. The difference in the two machines is that the new one now has a wifi card and dual ntsc tuners. My domain works fine through browsers so I can get email through the website. Just can't do it on this machine. So what tricks can I try to get email to work?
My email box is loaded with "Returned and Undelivarable Messages" using my email address as the sender. Some are in foreign languages. How can I prevent someone from using my emaill address to send out mass spam email?
