When I use Windows Movie Maker to capture from my DV camcorder, the CPU is at 100 % and the fan is always working. Then, after approximately 5 minutes of capture, my PC freeze and I have to reboot it. Then I see that a 39 MB video file (.wmv) and a 468 MB .tmp file have been created.I have a notebook 2.4 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. I have ordered a notebook cooler but it will come in about 2 weeks.I tried to capture my video with the Samsung software coming with my camcorder, it worked, the CPU was low during the capture but the video captured was of poor quality
I could not import video file from my video folder because the codec requied to play file was not installed on my computer. Where do I go to get the codec that is required?
i am running windows xp SP2. all of a sudden windows movie maker has just stopped working, when i say that i can open it but when i try to drag a movie/video clip into the time line the programme displays a error and say it has encountered a problem and needs to close down. ive checked out what is causing the problem as it is located here (C:DOCUME~1foxLOCALS~1Tempfeeb_appcompat.txt)i dont know how to fix it
Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the source files used in your movie are still available, that saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.
This error is driving me nuts.
Not matter what drive I select, no matter what files I use as a source, I STILL GET THIS ERROR.
I have 2 hard drives, one with 35 gigs free space, the other with 90 gigs of free space. I have 2 gigs of RAM. AMD 64 3700+ processor.
When I go to Microsoft's site for this program I read that it needs to be downloaded with SP2. Now, my o/s (Win XP Pro SP2) and Office 2003 has all the latest updates completed (no failures). Why and how would I download SP2 with Movie Maker 2.1 when I already have SP2? How can I download Movie maker 2.1 on its own?
I recently upgraded my XP to SP2. I have since that time upgraded my hardware and software programs to work on XP2. However there is no upgrade for my movie making program for XP SP2. I lake SP2 since I have worked out the bugs and would like to keep it. Can I Reinstall windows XP on another partition on my hard drive so I can boot to this installation when I work with Adobe premiere(my movie making program) and Pinnacle DV500(my capture card) And if so how big of a partition should I set-up.
I use XP Media Center 2005 Edition and was watching TV while editing a video with Movie Maker 2.1 on the same screen. After several editing the Movie Make became slow and then stopped responding. So I'd like to restore the Movie Maker but it comes with Service Pack 2. Is there anyway the Movie Maker program alone may be deleted and reinstalled without deleting and reinstalling whole SP2 package?
I am using windows XP home edition with office 2003 professional on a Toshiba dynabook. I want to uninstall or disable the Microsoft movie maker, as it is interfering with my professional Adobe Premiere Pro software. I have found no say to this. Every time I plug in my i-link DVD tape drive, I get the absolutely annoying, pop window that asks which software I would like to use to capture from the DVD device. Unfortunately the software I want to use is not listed! I have selected no program and the use for every time check box.
I have been trying to make some family clips and found ou that windows XP brings Movie Maker. I have Windows XP Home eddition. I tried to look in the Accesories/Entertaiment/ folder for the Movie Maker, but it's not there. I went to add/remove windows components, but there is no option to add movie maker. I thought I did not have the software so I went to the xp windows microsoft downloads and look for the movie maker. I tried to down load the package that brings this software but it run and applation to check if I required the download, but it was already installed. So it looks like that it's already installed, but I don't know how to acces it.
Done 3 photo videos in Movie Maker. Two of them work fine. The other gets to one slide and stays there. Music continues to play. I have recopied to Media Player about 6 times.
I burned a movie onto dvd-r and it wont play on my tv/dvd player. I also tried burning onto dvd+rw and it still wont play on my tv/dvd. Am I burning the movie wrong? How can I fix this?
I am getting the following msg, it only happens in Yahoo groups: "A script in the movie is causing Macro Media Flash Player 7 to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?" I pick "Yes", my system does indeed become "unresponsive" for about 5-10 seconds, then goes back to normal. Then about a minute later the same thing happens again. This only happens in Yahoo groups!
Downloaded SP2 for Windows XP Home and immediately lost all video (not audio) in both Real Player and Windows Media Player. Removed each of these and reloaded "fresh" version - same problem. Then removed SP2 and presto - video returns.
Can anyone tell me how to configure windows media player 10 to work from behind the windows firewall which was installed when i updated to windows service pack2? I am using windows xp and explorer6.0 with verizon dsl 3.0 internet connection.
i tried to install media player but it said i needed the update rollup 2 so i tried to install that but it failed and no updates are working they all fail. Someone told me to uninstall some updates and reinstall them but i cant find them. any ideas?
easiest way i can capture video's off my DV Camcorder into windows movie marker and if i can, have it automatically split the clips up into 4.2 gig sized movies..(the reason being i have a movie thats 8 or 10 gigs long, and i want to cut it into slices that will fit just right onto a dvdr) there is a check box when your recording the movie that says "make clips when finished" or something like that and it just seems to split my movie in half i think? i'm not really sure...Also does WMM copy the information DIRECTLY from the tape digitally to the computer so what i have is an EXACT copy of what was on the camcorder? (i.e. the FPS and screen size and image quality are the EXACT SAME? no gen loss?)..
I use Windows Media Player 10 as my primary media player. But I like to keep Real Player and QuickTime quietly waiting in the wings and call upon them occasionally. Well, I got the latest version of the Real player and clipped its wings so it wouldn't take over every audio and video file i have. Then downloaded the latest QuickTime player (after uninstalling the old one.) Every time an attempt is made to install the QuickTime player after 11 or so seconds into the process it stops and gives me this little message: "1607: Unable to install Installshield Scripting Runtime."
I had a TV/ FM card installed. I got it to work. I tested the dvd/cd player with a music cd. Windows Media Player10 ran through its setup but no music. I lost sound to the tv/fm radio. I looked in device manager but didn't see any yellow marks.
